Crops are important in ARK. They can either be used for growing narcoberries or other interesting, useful plants you’ll need throughout the game. That being said, building a farm requires an irrigation system. If not, you’ll lose time and effort easily to water multiple crops individually. For your first irrigation system, it’s probably better to go for a stone one, instead of metal. However, you can always build another one as you advance. Multiple irrigation pieces can be crafted. Here are some examples: straight, vertical, flexible, intake, water reservoir, intersection.
How it works:
- Gather the necessary materials. Choose between a stone or a metal irrigation system
- Place an intake pipe. Make sure it’s placed directly in the water
- If finding a water source is not easy, you can use the alternative of water reservoirs
- Connect all the other pipes to the intake one. Try using an inclined pipe first, so your system doesn’t get blocked in the ground
