Ark Survival Evolved offers a lot of various activities for its players. Taming dinosaurs is for sure the most appreciated one, but not far behind, the building takes second place. You can gather and cook the best food for your survivor and offer him incredible weapons, but anyone eventually needs a home for comfort, but in the first place, for protection. If you just started playing, you’ll want to use wood and thatch to start building your base right away, as it will keep you safe and warm, especially at night.
You can craft the necessary parts for your house by unlocking engrams and gathering all the materials. Mine metal and stone and chop down trees to get everything you want. You can craft doors, gates, roofs, platforms, foundations, trap doors, water pipes, electronic devices, fences, benches, and many more, depending on your level.
How it works:
- Gather all the necessary resources
- Unlock engrams
- Craft items that will be perfect for your future house. Keep in mind to respect simple physics principles when placing them ( keep an empty space for building your door between the walls, place the roofs over the walls)
- Don’t forget to reinforce your house if enough support has been destroyed. Otherwise, it may fall apart
- All structures can now be painted to customize the look of your house
