14 - Scorn

What it’s about: Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry. It is designed around the idea of "being thrown into the world." Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.
Everything happens inside the game; there are no cutscenes, so you’ll have to pay attention if you want to know what is happening (but we know that even in the cutscenes, you didn’t pay attention anyways). The puzzles are very entertaining and essential to the story, so you better be in your best Sherlock Holmes shape!

13 - Ghostwire Tokyo

(I think that is the first time I really feel sorry for the ghost; look at his poor face.)
What it’s about: Tokyo's population has vanished, and deadly supernatural forces prowl the streets. Use an arsenal of elemental abilities to unravel the truth behind the disappearance and save Tokyo.
Honestly, at first sight, the game reminds me of Alice in Borderland, which is pretty scary in itself, but instead of, you know, normal crazy people, there are supernatural crazy people! Try to figure out what happened while fighting the unknown. Okay, that is giving off a lot of Alice in Borderland vibes. Well, I wish you good luck if you ever decide to play this game.

What's It About: The virus won, and civilization has fallen back to the Dark Ages. The city, one of the last human settlements, is on the brink of collapse. Use your agility and combat skills to survive and reshape the world. Your choices matter.
The most fun part of this game is the memories and deciphering them while fighting zombies. Be a badass Sherlock Holmes as well as Blade, The Zombie Hunter. But remember, stay human at any cost.

11 - SPC: Secret Files

(That place looks fairly easy to invade considering they have secret files.)
What it’s about: SCP: Secret Files is a collection of paranormal cases from the SCP Foundation, an organization tasked with containing dangerous anomalies. You join as an assistant researcher for Dr. Raymond Hamm and complete a strenuous induction program that will make you question everything you know.
I personally love the "We are the last line of defense of humanity" trope. And being able to play in a world like this is amazing! Let’s go guns blazing and kill those nasty creatures. and also hunt down a crazy cult causing world disasters (no, it is not the global warming cult). I had a lot of fun playing, and I’m sure you will too.

What it’s about: The Closing Shift is a Japanese horror game about a girl on a closing shift.
You can finally experience how low-paid employers go through their nights, and how scary that is. All in the privacy of your own home, unless you are a low-wage employee; in that case, good luck!Most girls have had this experience, but it can be very good or very bad for boys.It is an unsettling, realistic game.

Remember that nightmare that you have where you wake up in a dark room with your hands all covered in blood? Well now you can live it! In-game, of course. An evil demon (not all demons are evil, okay?) is forcing you to finish a horrible ritual. Well, after that trauma, you’ll have to go to therapy, but first you have to escape the demon’s grasp.

(Okay, Martha is definitely not okay. I mean, I know she’s dead, but she is acting too casually for someone seeing herself like that.)
What it’s about: Martha Is Dead is a dark first-person psychological thriller, set in 1944 Italy, that blurs the lines between reality, superstition, and the tragedy of war. As the conflict between German and Allied forces intensifies, a woman's desecrated body is discovered drowned.Martha!
Okay, I never had that question before this game; wait, I’m lying; I have seen Orphan Black. Anyways, Martha is actually dead, and you are her twin sister, Giulia. I don’t really know what happens if you are mistaken for your dead twin; if you guys know, let me know. But going back to the game, Giulia is pretty traumatized, and she has to deal with the war on top of all of that. It is a game that makes you rethink many things.

What it’s about: Explore a decadent hotel across different timelines and uncover the dark history of a fanatical cult and your role in their plans.
So you go to this hotel for a fun time; the only problem is that your idea of a fun time is to stay in haunted hotels. You may end up dying or, in the worst case scenario, going insane, but at least you will uncover the hotel mystery that involves a crazy cult, so I'm pretty sure you won't get bored.

What it’s about: Step into the shoes of Ash Williams or his friends from the iconic Evil Dead franchise and work together in a game loaded with over-the-top co-op and PVP multiplayer action!
Well, you and your three favorite friends (yes, you’re going to have to pick, unless you don’t have any friends, then play with strangers) are going to have to test your survival skills (yeah, I know, I don’t have any either) and try to either fight off the evil or run for your life like cowards. I guess you can also hide and let your friends be bait.

5 - The Mortuary Assistant

What it’s about: Having completed your degree in mortuary sciences, you have taken on an apprenticeship at River Fields Mortuary. Over the past several months, you have logged many hours aiding the mortician in daily tasks and learning the ins and outs of the embalming process as well as how to properly handle and care for the deceased.
Being in a mortuary is a pretty scary thing in and of itself, but when you literally cannot leave, you’ll slowly (or pretty quickly) become insane. So, you're stuck with possibly demonic bodies.The game has 10+ hours of horrifying content. Have fun and try not to play at night.

(Honestly, relatable, Rose. Who hasn't stared blankly at a place where we were once brought as babies to be the host of a centuries-old child?)
What it’s about: A new scenario starring a grown-up Rose, Ethan's beloved daughter, whose kidnapping as a baby kicked off the original Village story.
You can go back to the village in "Realm of Consciousness" as Rose explores the same path she took when she was a baby. You can see her struggling with her superpowers and feeling a lot of self-pity.Reminisce about your gameplay with Ethan through his daughter, and try to keep her alive the same way he did. You’ll also encounter old enemies. Good thing you already know how to kill them, right?

What it’s about: In this narrative-driven, third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future, the player will take on the role of Jacob Lee, a victim of fate thrown into Black Iron Prison, a maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter's moon, Callisto.
You are literally living out your future dreams by being in prison. But the prison is on Jupiter’s moon, so, "potato, potahto." So yeah, the prison goes crazy, and there are people turning into monsters. Run for your life and fight your way out of this prison, literally.

What it’s about: When the sun goes down on the last night of summer camp, nine teenage counselors are plunged into an unpredictable night of horror. The only thing worse than the blood-soaked locals and creatures hunting them are the unimaginable choices you must make to help them survive.
The game starts like any other horror movie cliche: there are dumb teenagers doing teenagers' stuff. And then all of a sudden there’s a crazy dude with an ax trying to murder everyone. For me, this game is like "Friday the 13th," but a lot better and with more realism. So yeah, you can experience what it is to be hunted down and murdered!

What it’s about: A group of documentary filmmakers receives a mysterious call inviting them to a modern-day replica of serial killer H. H. Holmes' "Murder Castle." As they film their latest episode, they slowly begin to realize that things are not quite as they seem and that they are being watched and manipulated.
This game will bring you back to an old memory of H.H. Holmes, the first serial killer in the USA, and the gameplay will make you feel like a modern-day victim of a copycat. You’ll play with a lot of charismatic characters and try to make all of them come out of the hotel alive. Have fun trying to save or torture the characters!
