We get it, you’ve been enjoying the game for a while now and you’re starting to climb up the ladder... When suddenly, you’re at P.E.K.K.A’s Playground!
With a new arena, new competitors and new cards on the horizon, it’s hard to know what kind of decks can go the extra mile. Luckily, this article will be able to help you use the best decks possible for this arena to ensure you’re out of it in no time!
5. X Bow Bridge
Image
What makes this a good deck:
X Bow is a go-to first move
Tombstone and Goblin Barrel can chip away
Rocket is a good defence and offence when used right
How to use it:
If left unattended, X Bow can do some serious damage
Tombstone is perfect when the enemy has put out a lot of troops near the bridge, be sure to put it over half of a Princess tower to ensure it targets that and not the King tower
Baby Dragon’s splash damage is perfect against hordes just do not put it too close to them otherwise it will get destroyed
If you put X Bow down make sure it is near the bridge - best to play as the first move if it’s in your cycle and be quick to add Skeletons to protect it if they use a card like Mini Pekka as a response
Valkyrie is a good card against tanks but help her out with Baby Dragon in the sky
Minion Horde can also protect X Bow if they use air troops
4. Balloon Attack
Image
What makes this a good deck:
Total offence strategy
Has aerial support for the Balloon
Can be quick to win with Prince
How to use it:
Use Rocket when troops placed at the back are near the Princess tower to maximise the hit
Be warned! Rocket has a time delay the further back it is placed so practice in one on one battles that don’t cost trophies first
Prince can be placed with Balloon to ensure you get the tower, just make sure to be careful because you’ll have depleted your elixir
If they have air troops that take down your Balloon easily, use Minion Horde or Arrows to help it out
Giant Skeleton can be placed at the very back of the arena and supported by Prince or Spear Goblins, faster cards are what helps it best
3. Speed Tank
Image
What makes this a good deck:
Mini Pekka and Valkyrie are a surefire tank combination
Goblin Barrel allows for chipping
Can go against other tanks easily
How to use it:
With an elixir cost of 3.5 you want to be cycling your cards regularly to ensure best results
Mini Pekka can tank at the back and supported by Musketeer for Air, if they use Skeletons you have Arrows to combat that
Royal Knight can slow down tanks but will need to be supported by another card like Baby Dragon
Skeletons will be great as a protection around Mini Pekka to ensure he gets to the tower
Musketeer has a long range so can be placed further back when dealing with enemies, let the Princess towers help her out
2. Giant Skeleton Race
Image
What makes this a good deck:
Gives you different defensive options
You have easy options for enemies
Counters included against tanks like Giant
How to use it:
Giant skeleton is the priority here, he doesn’t have to reach the tower but his giant bomb should land near enough to it for the tower to take a hit
Witch can go at the back to gain more skeletons
Prince can defend and act as a tank when your Giant Skeleton is not in the cycle
Barbarians should be used against swarm cards or as a last resort will work well against tanks
Arrows and Spear Goblins work well against air and smaller troops
Tesla can distract tanks giving you time as the elixir cost for this deck is higher than other ones
1. Miner Valkyrie
Image
What makes this a good deck:
You can chip away at the towers easily
You’re covered against tanks
Options against air and ground enemies
How to use it:
Use the miner from the beginning and let it chip away at the tower, it shouldn’t be used as a defence unless you’re struggling
Arrows works best against enemy Goblin Barrels
If they use a card against Miner you can then throw Goblin Barrel and get a few more chips at the tower
Valkyrie acts as a tank and can be supported by Musketeer or Spear Goblins against air troops
Barbarian Barrel can easily take out troops such as Skeletons that may be trying to take down Musketeer
Inferno Tower should be placed always in the middle but further back to give it time to heat up, it will take down tanks in seconds
I currently have 20 1UPS and despite my ability to stay calm under the face of an enemy boss in a game, I've had better luck at navigating the real world of writing about gaming content.
