Burst weapons are not commonly used in multiplayer lobbies as loadouts, but they have far more potential than you may expect. Burst weapons are my favorite since they provide me greater control over my aim while yet firing quickly enough to rip through foes. It's worth noting that my general gameplay has improved since I began using the M16 as my primary loadout in fast-paced games like Hardpoint.
I've created this list and described the ideal attachments to go with each gun to make it simpler to navigate among the limited burst-fire options available in the game. Hopefully, moving to a burst-fire weapon will be as lethal for you as it was for me.
5. CARV.2
CARV.2 Stats & Best Attachments!
The CARV.2, which debuted in Season 3, is a tactical rifle with a wide range of applications. With its low recoil and quick burst fire, this gun has the potential to quickly eliminate enemies at longer ranges. Unfortunately, what holds this weapon back is that body shots are highly unlikely to have any 1-burst kill potential, which may increase the time to kill relative to other guns in its category. It also has a lower bullet velocity despite having a long-range, which means that bullet penetration for this gun may be lower in comparison.
What makes CARV.2 great:
- Fast burst delay
- High headshot multiplier
- Excels at longer ranges
- High accuracy
- High-base magazine capacity
Best attachments for this gun:
- Muzzle: Silencer
- Barrel: 20.8” Strike Team
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
- Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
- Stock: Raider Pad
CARV.2 base stats:
- Damage: 39
- DMG range: 45.00 m

- Bullet velocity: 605 m/s
4. Diamatti
Diamatti Pistol - Black Ops Cold War Weapon Guide
The Diamatti, the burst fire pistol that has become the meta for all CDL matches, is a formidable partner in every multiplayer match. This weapon is possibly the best pistol in the game due to its lightweight body, high rate of fire, and short burst delay. To top it all off, this gun can be dual-wielded, which means a single shot can drill six bullets into your opponent at the same time. But be cautious: the Diamatti is a pistol, so it may not have the highest damage, longest range, or best handling.
What makes Diamatti great:
- High rate of fire
- Dual wield option available
- Lightweight
- Great for close-quarters combat
- Fast sprint to fire time
Best attachments for this gun:
- Muzzle: Sound Suppressor
- Barrel: 6.5” Takedown
- Body: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight

3. KSP 45
KSP 45 = ONE BURST & OVERPOPWERED!
Though it is not widely used, the KSP 45 is an underrated weapon that can be quite powerful if used correctly. Despite the fact that it is an SMG, its damage is comparable to that of some LMGs and Tactical Rifles, implying that the time to kill for this weapon is extremely short. When it comes to time to kill, this gun is the third fastest overall. Despite its incredible capabilities, its handling can be difficult to master, and it is also inconsistent due to the bullet velocity being one of the slowest in-game and the burst shots being quite spread out.
What makes KSP great:
- Very high base damage
- Great for most ranges
- Good hipfire handling
- High sprint speed
- High headshot damage multiplier
Best attachments for this gun:
- Muzzle: Muzzle Brake .45 APC
- Barrel: 10.2” Rifled
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
- Magazine: 42 Rnd Mag/Speed Mag
- Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
KSP base stats:
- Damage: 50
- DMG range: 15.24m
- Mag Size: 30 rounds
- Rate of Fire: 722 RPM
- Bullet velocity: 200 m/s

The last and best entry on our list is none other than the AUG. When it comes to killing, the AUG is an absolute drilling machine. Its stats are quite similar to the M16, but it has a slight advantage over the M16 due to its bullet velocity, which is the highest in-game.
