We know that skins won’t boost your rank, but who says you can’t look good in a match? Or when your teammate asks you for an AWP, but you’re stuck giving out that old default skin. Fear not though, because I’ll give you the top 15 AWP skins currently in CS:GO.
15. Lighting Strike
This AWP features a purple background with a vivid white lighting strike. Although lightning is usually white, it’s sometimes purple, depending on the location and air content. Try not to strike down your teammates with it, ya?
- You can clearly see the lightning across the AWP
- Lightning is sometimes accompanied by violet skies, making it somewhat realistic
- Currently, it’s the only AWP skin that’s predominantly purple
How to get the Lightning Strike
As of now, it’s on the steam community market for about $215 (factory new). Surprisingly, the minimal wear version costs about $135 more. You can also find it in a CS:GO weapon case for around $25 along with purchasing a key ($2.50), but there is no guarantee as to what’s inside. Keep in mind prices for weapons fluctuate, depending on the release date and demand.

14. Sun In Leo
Predominantly blue, the Sun In Leo is etched with symbols from Astrology. Those who carry this skin are as regarded as creative, passionate, and profound. Whatever an AWP means to you, a solid blue skin is pretty cool to have nevertheless.
How to get the Sun In Leo
You can find it on the community market as a brand new skin for less than $10. Alternatively, you can get a field-tested version for about half the price.

12. Phobos
Introduced in 2016, Phobos was apparently made of metal panels with durable electronic components. It boasts a yellow hazardous theme on the front and back end. The core features a darkish green paint job with green and yellow buttons. Looks like it’s ready to go.
- For fans of green and yellow colors
- Features hazardous black and yellow stripes

10. PAW
This feline friendly AWP features orange cats, gray cats, a knife-wielding cat, pugs, and an unknown creature with a red scarf. If you’re lucky, some versions have a golden cat near the center. They seem to be posing while crunched in the snapshot.
- Plenty of happy cats and dogs
- A variety of colorful animals
- Inexpensive
How to get the PAW
As of now, you can get the brand new skin for less than $5 on the steam community market.

9. Redline
Aired in 2013, the Redline AWP features a black/carbon fiber coat with two red pinstripes on each side. You can also find this skin on the AK-47. Color streaks seem to be a common theme for CS:GO skins.
- Carbon fiber finish
- Red stripes
- From afar, looks black as well
How to get the Redline
The factory new version was never released. However, you can get the minimal wear skin for about $36, or a field tested version for about $20. Alternatively, you might find one in a Winter Offensive Weapon case for roughly $3 in addition to buying the key, but as I mentioned before, there is no guarantee as to what you’ll get.

8. Fever Dream
Etched with light blue, white, and neon pink crayons, the Fever Dream depicts the mind of a select few. Words and phrases such as, “Headshot,” ‘Living Dead,” and, “Wolves are at my door,” are scribbled throughout the AWP. You can also see tally marks on the left side, denoting killstreaks, and a worm monster on the right side, depicting one’s loss of touch with reality. These dreams can’t be that bad though if you’re getting frags.
- Unique neon pink and light blue mix
- A mixture of detailed and simple drawings
- The tip of the scope resembles a flame decal
How to get the Fever Dream
The factory new skin costs about $10, whereas field tested is about half the price. Again, you can find it on the steam market.

7. Neo-Noir
Released in late 2018, the Neo-Noir style reflects the revival of Hollywood crime dramas dating back to the 1950s. Here we see it in a comic strip fashion, with one lady comforting another. Often, the stories had a dark plot twist combined with ulterior motives. It seems then, that these two ladies share comfort in each other’s despair.
- Comic-book style
- Detailed drawings of two ladies
- Unique blue-magenta color with neon pink and grayscale background
How to get the Neo-Noir
It’s a bit more expensive than most AWP skins. A new one costs about $50, whereas the field tested version goes for roughly $28. Feel free to try and unlock one in a Danger zone case for $.05, but keep in mind the key is 2.50$.

6. Mortis
Inspired by the death tarot card, Mortis features a grim reaper and scythe with the roman numeral, XIII, or 13. It offers a checkered background with a rust orange ribbon across the AWP. If that’s not enough, you can see Death riding on its “pale” horse.
- Features the iconic Grim Reaper
- Checkered black and gray background
- Currently, the only AWP with roman numerals
How to get the Mortis
A brand new one is roughly $6.50, but you can also get a field tested version for under 3$ from the steam market.

5. Hyper Beast
Known to appear in dreams or hallucinations, the Hyper Beast devours anything across its path. It boasts various shades of red, blue, green, and orange. I can’t imagine what it feels like to get scoped out by one either.
- Poses a unique drawing of a giant and colorful psychedelic creature
- Various shades and colors ranging from blue to red, with a hint of white
- Features thorn vines near the stock (end)
How to get the Hyper Beast
This AWP remains highly popular. Therefore, it may be no surprise that it’s fairly expensive. For a factory new version, you need about $75. Minimal wear and field tested versions are about $42 and $27, respectively. You can also buy a falchion case and key for about $2.65 and hope to get one instead.

4. Oni Taiji
Released in 2017, the artist combines the image of a Samurai with an Oni (or Demon) in a traditional Japanese painting style. The AWP is mostly purple until it reaches the end, where the Oni and its blazing red flames are duly noted. Would you then, rather fight the Samurai or Oni?
- Features an iconic style of painting, highlighting the natural and spiritual world
- Features a Samurai sword
- Good vs. Evil theme
How to get the Oni Taiji
Another highly regarded skin. Factory new costs about $234, whereas minimal wear and field tested are $157 and $120, respectively. The operation hydra case costs about $8, so with a key, you’re looking at about $10.50 per case to find one.

3. Dragon Lore
A dragon that spits fire with a full body display. How cool is that? Although they are often spotted in artwork and paintings, there are very few AWP dragon skins in CS:GO. It also features Celtic ornaments and specs of flame on the body. You can tell this dragon has no fear in its eyes whatsoever.
- Flamethrowing dragon
- Green and black checkered pattern on the barrel, scope, and end
- The flames stand out more thanks to an orange neon color
How to get the Dragon Lore
The dragon lore AWP is super rare. In fact, it’s so rare that it’s rumored to cost about $1,300 to $4,100, assuming you can even find one.

2. Gungnir
Named after Odin’s spear, the Gungnir features a pearl blue backdrop engraved with traditional old Norse ornaments. In Greek mythology, the spear was considered to be fully accurate and unbreakable. It looks as though it was dipped in the water of a frozen pond.
- Not your typical shade of blue; think of a frozen lake/pond
- Features the spear of Odin; the Greek god of wisdom and knowledge
- Features Odin’s ornaments, adding more depth to it
How to get the Gungnir
Unfortunately, you can’t. At least for now. But, they may range from $2000 to $5000. There is no case for it either.

1.Wildfire
There’s always going to be a debate as to which AWP skin deserves to be #1, but the Wildfire stands out. For starters, the fiery dragon is complemented by a black, red, and orange aura, as if you could sense its presence nearby. The scope and barrel display a teal red color, adding to the fire. The dragon itself reeks of power, as evident by its pure body of flames. There really is no stopping this creature.
- Features a fiery dragon skin with a harmonious background
- Features a body of intangible flames
- The color of the flames are similar to that of a phoenix
How to get the Wildfire
A number one skin doesn’t always have to be expensive, but it will cost something nevertheless. The Wildfire goes anywhere from about $26 to $100, depending on the condition. You can also buy the case and key for around $2.65 and hope to get one.
