[Top 10] CSGO Best Crosshairs For Riflers (Used By The Best Players In The World)

Which crosshair should I choose?

Crosshairs give your rifle tunnel-like vision. Sometimes, you’ll want a bigger crosshair for greater visibility and sometimes, you’ll want a smaller crosshair for pinpoint accuracy. In fact, many of the best crosshairs used by the pros offer one of, if not both of these features along with other useful attributes. Without an adequate crosshair, you may find yourself having trouble with recoil control, headshot placement, tracking enemies, and so on. By experimenting with the crosshair settings from a pro, however, you’ll often gain a better understanding of your aim and movement based on its features.

*Keep in mind a pro's crosshair will change from time to time.

10. KSCERATO

Small and compact.

For starters, the color is vibrant and transparent. In close-range combat, the crosshair focuses on the center of the head while in mid to long-range combat, the crosshair covers the head almost perfectly. As a result, this type of crosshair seems to emphasize head accuracy (headshots) over overall accuracy (headshots+body damage). Keep in mind the size of the crosshair stays the same while the distances change (optical illusion perhaps, but there nevertheless). If visibility is usually not an issue for you or isn’t on the top of your list, but headshots are, then this crosshair could work for you.

About KSCERATO

Kaike Cerato is a Brazillian CS:GO rifler for Furia Esports. He debuted in 2017 and continues to play at the age of 21. In 2020, he and team Furia won first place in the ESL Pro League S12: NA ($77,500/$225,000). His current/overall headshot percentage sits around 50%.

 What’s Good About KSCERATO Crosshair

  • Small and compact; easy to spot despite its size
  • Color is easy to see, but not too bright
  • Ideal for headshots; never overlaps to the body

KSCERATO’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshairalpha 800; cl_crosshaircolor 1; cl_crosshaircolor_b 125; cl_crosshaircolor_g 50; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -4; cl_crosshairsize 1; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairthickness 1;

9. Xantares

Light and fairly transparent.

Some players prefer a thin over a thicker crosshair because it’s not as dense. True, a thicker crosshair may be easier to see, however, some players may be slightly irritated by a bolded appearance. In this case, the green outline may provide just enough transparency. In close-range combat, the crosshair covers a small portion of the head whereas in mid to long-range combat, it covers it completely without overlapping elsewhere. And as you move along you can easily track an enemy’s head, thanks to its moderate size.

About Xantares

Ismail Can is a Turkish-Macedonian CS:GO player for BIG. He is well known for his headshots as a rifler and entry fragger. In 2021, BIG, along with two other teams, won first place in the Blast Premier: Spring Groups 2021 (based on a shared points system; $25,000/$150,000). Xantares was also the MVP at the 2020 Dreamhack Open Summer in Europe.

 What’s Good About Xantare's Crosshair

  • Not too heavy on the eyes
  • Thanks to its moderate size, it’s easier to track enemies
  • Transparent color

Xantare's Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 1; cl_crosshaircolor_b 50; cl_crosshaircolor_r 50; cl_crosshaircolor_g 250; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap 0/-2 (or); cl_crosshairsize 2; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0.5; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0;

8. blameF

Small, yet bold.

One of the smallest crosshairs on the list and yet, fairly transparent. Thanks to its bright teal color and compactness, you can track your enemy’s head adequately. At close range, the crosshair covers a small portion of the head; at mid-range, the crosshair covers most of the head, and at long range, the crosshair often covers the head completely. Hence, this type of crosshair may be best suited for mid to long-range combat based on its alignment and moreover, for the initial burst shots (aimed towards the head) during an encounter. The extremely small gap is almost negligible, making it more compact.

About blameF

Benjamin Bremer is a Danish CS:GO player for Complexity Gaming. His roles often include rifler, lurker, and leader.  In 2021, CG won first place in the Blast Premier: Spring Groups 2021 (based on a shared points system; $25,000/$150,000). And in 2020, he was ranked 6th best player in the world, according to HLTV.

What’s Good About blameF’s Crosshair

  • Small and compact, thanks to it’s size, color, and tiny gap
  • Transparent teal color
  • Ideal for headshots, thanks to its size

blameF’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 4; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -4; cl_crosshairsize 1; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshaircolor_b 0; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255

7. NiKo

Clear, compact, and transparent.

A near-replica of blameF’s crosshair or vice versa. The main difference is the color (or shade). While a white crosshair may seem like nothing special at first, it provides an effective contrast against dim or darker screens. It may also provide sufficient transparency or compensation for a smaller crosshair. At close range, the crosshair covers a small portion of the head; at mid-range, the crosshair covers most of the head, and at long range, the crosshair covers the head completely; ideal for tracking and getting headshots.

 About NiKo

Nikola Kovač is a Bosnian CS:GO player for G2 Esports. His roles include AWPer and rifler. He is also known for his prowess with the deagle and clutch factor. He was named MVP at various events, including the IEM New York 2020 Europe by HLTV ($70,000/$140,000). If that’s not enough, he was ranked the 3rd best player in 2018 and 11th in 2019.

What’s Good About NiKo’s Crosshair

  • Small and compact
  • Immerses well with your opponent’s head at various distances
  • Excellent color/transparency depending on your screen’s brightness

NiKo’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 5; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -4; cl_crosshairsize 1; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshaircolor_b 255; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255

6. yuurih

Bold and transparent.

yuurih’s crosshair features a bold yellow color with a slight gap in the middle. It’s fairly large, covering your enemy’s head most of the time and sometimes, overlapping to the chest. Nevertheless, it scores high in transparency thanks to the size and color (depending on your screen’s brightness). At close ranges, it seems to cover the top of the head well; at mid ranges, it covers the head completely, while sometimes overlapping to the chest, and at long ranges, the crosshair covers the head completely and often overlaps to the chest/body. If transparency is on the top of your list, then this crosshair could work for you.

About yurrih

Like KSCERATO, Yuri Santos is a Brazillian CS:GO player for Furia Esports. His primary roles include rifler and entry fragger. In 2020, he was ranked the 14th best player in the world by HLTV. He was also named MVP of the IEM New York 2020 in North America ($25,000/$60,000).

What’s Good About yurrih’s Crosshair

  • The large size makes up for its thickness; adding some transparency
  • Bold yellow color adds to its transparency
  • Easier to navigate with and track enemies than some of the smaller crosshairs

yurrih’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 200; cl_crosshaircolor 2; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -3; cl_crosshairsize 3; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0;

5. Ropz

A light, but transparent crosshair.

The good thing about Ropz’s crosshair is that it’s not too heavy on the eyes. The green color is also fairly visible and at most ranges, it immerses well with your opponent’s head. At close ranges, it usually covers the top/center of the head; at mid-ranges, it usually covers the head completely without overlapping, and at long ranges, it immerses with the head completely, but sometimes extends to the ears, if you will. One could also argue that a lighter crosshair may force you to pay more attention to it because of its sheer visibility, but this is just speculation.

About Ropz

Robin Kool is an Estonian CS:GO player for Mousesports. His primary roles include rifler and lurker. Aside from statistics, he is well known for his calm and collected demeanor even in the toughest of situations. In 2020, he was ranked 7th best player in the world by HLTV. He was also named MVP of the ESL Pro League Season 10 in 2019 ($250,000/$600,000).

What’s Good About Ropz's Crosshair

  • Transparent color
  • Adequately sized so that it completely aligns with the head at various distances
  • Not too small where it may cause some visibility issues

Ropz’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 250; cl_crosshaircolor 1; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -3; cl_crosshairsize 2; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0;

4. Twistzz

A small, but efficient crosshair that focuses mostly on the center of the head or head itself.

So far, I’ve discussed two types of crosshair sizes: big and small. However, some crosshairs could be regarded as moderately sized or a step below small (even for a few that I’ve mentioned before). What are the benefits of that, you may ask? Besides effectively tracking headshots at mid to long-range distances, adapting to an extremely small crosshair allows some players to generate even greater accuracy over time, albeit at the cost of transparency (at some level). That is, by focusing on the center of the head rather than the head itself, there is less room for error as you adapt over time. Anyhow, at close range, the crosshair usually covers a small portion of the head; at mid-range it covers more of the center of the head, and at long range, it usually covers most, if not all of the head. Did I mention the unique and effective color contrast?

About Twistzz

Russel Van Dulken is a Canadian CS:GO player for FaZe clan. He is notoriously known as an exceptional rifler thanks to his current ~62% headshot rate. In 2019, he was ranked the 9th best player in the world. He was also named MVP of the IEM Chicago in 2019 ($125,000/$250,000).

What’s Good About Twistzz's Crosshair

  • Requires pinpoint accuracy/laser-like focus
  • Transparent bold color
  • Heavily headshot oriented with less emphasis on overall transparency

Twistzz’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 5; cl_crosshaircolor_b 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 0; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -4.4; cl_crosshairgap_useweaponvalue 0; cl_crosshairsize 1.100000; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairthickness 0.8;

3. ScreaM

The headshot machine.

At one point in his career, Scream demonstrated the power of a dot crosshair. Although visibility may be an issue for some, dot crosshairs can often provide you with laser-like focus, thanks to their size and shape. As mentioned before, very small crosshairs tend to focus on the center or a small area of the head, so you can clearly spot it at any distance (without it overlapping to the body). Dot crosshairs can also be effective because they resemble the shape of your opponent’s head, offering some parallelism. If you want to try out this dot crosshair, but increase its size or thickness, you can also do so via console or workshop maps.

About ScreaM

Adil Benrlitom was a former CS:GO player for various teams, perhaps most notably for G2 Esports. In 2016, he was ranked the 9th best player in the world. He was also named MVP of the Esports Championship Series S1 ($250,000/$765,000) in 2016. What really makes ScreaM stand out though is his headshot percentage; at ~68%, which marks one of the best stats in the history of professional CS:GO.

What’s Good About ScreaM’s Crosshair

  • Laser-like focus
  • The shape of a dot crosshair highly resembles your opponents head
  • Does not overlap to the body (and hence, always focuses on the head)

ScreaM’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 4; cl_crosshairdot 1; cl_crosshairgap -999; cl_crosshairsize 3; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0.5; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 1; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshairgap_useweaponvalue 0; cl_crosshaircolor_b 250; cl_crosshaircolor_r 250; cl_crosshaircolor_g 250;

2. HObbit

A large and transparent crosshair with a dot in the middle.

HObbit’s crosshair is similar to yuurih’s with respect to size. However, we now see a transition to a green color and a lighter appearance. As I mentioned before, some professional players may prefer a thin crosshair because it’s not as, “heavy on the eyes” compared to something thicker. The dot in the middle may also make the overall crosshair feel more complete. At close ranges, the crosshair usually covers a small portion, and sometimes the center of the head. At mid ranges, the crosshair often covers most, if not the entire radius of the head. And at long-range, the t-shape covers all of the head while sometimes overextending. Thus, this type of crosshair is useful for recognizing headshot levels across various distances.

About HObbit

Abay Khassenov is a Kazakhstani CS:GO player for Gambit Esports. In 2017, he was ranked the 11th best player in the world. He is also well known for his role in the IEM Katowice 2021, helping Gambit defeat Virtus.pro and win first place ($400,000/$972,000). He currently boasts a KDR and OKR of about 1.20.

What’s Good About HObbit’s Crosshair

  • Large and fairly transparent
  • The size of the crosshair closely resembles the size of the player model’s head
  • The dot in the middle may provide better transparency

HObbit’s crosshair settings

  • cl_crosshairsize 3; cl_crosshairgap -2; cl_crosshairthickness 0.4; cl_crosshaircolor 5; cl_crosshaircolor_b 144; cl_crosshaircolor_g 195; cl_crosshaircolor_r 27; cl_crosshairdot 1; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairalpha 250; cl_crosshairgap_useweaponvalue 0; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_dynamic_maxdist_splitratio 0.35; cl_crosshair_dynamic_splitalpha_innermod 1; cl_crosshair_dynamic_splitalpha_outermod 0.5; cl_crosshair_dynamic_splitdist 7;

1. Shroud

A moderately sized crosshair that immerses well with the player model’s head across various distances.

Shroud’s crosshair offers a light teal blue color using a slightly bolded t-shape. Upon closer inspection, you can see the ends are slightly larger than the lines themselves, perhaps increasing its overall transparency. At close ranges, the crosshair moderately covers the head; at mid ranges, the crosshair usually covers most, if not all of the head, and at long ranges, the crosshair will often cover all of the player model’s head, while sometimes extending to the chest or body. Besides Shroud being Shroud, what’s great about his crosshair is that it almost perfectly aligns with the player model’s head across multiple distances. That and its bolded appearance so it’s easier to see, but not as irritating either.

About Shroud

Micheal Gresiek is a retired CS:GO player of Polish descent. He is well known for his role as a former rifler for Cloud 9. In 2016, he and Cloud 9 won first place in the ESL Pro League S4 ($200,000/$600,000). Overall, Shroud was an exceptional rifler not merely because of his stats, but because of a clutch factor based on his calm and collected demeanor.

What’s Good About Shroud’s Crosshair

  • Slighty bolded appearance
  • Moderate size
  • Almost perfectly immerses with the head from multiple mid to long-range distances

Shroud’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshaircolor 3; cl_fixedcrosshairgap -2.5; cl_crosshairstyle 1; hud_showtargetid 1;
