[Top 5] Destiny 2 Best Nightstalker Builds

Destiny 2 Best Nightstalker Builds

The Nightstalker class is a void based subclass for Hunters who like to be a little sneaky and embody what it is to be a Hunter. This class has a support focus with its super either being Shadowshot; a void bow that traps enemies, or Spectral Blades; slashing void blades for close combat.

To help you make the most of this subclass we’ve curated the 5 best Nightstalker builds we could find.

How this list works:

We’ll list what mods, armor, and weapons you’ll need to make each build work. There are usually just one or two recommended weapons and armor pieces so you will have plenty of room to mix and match your other equipment slots and make tweaks as you go.

  • Purple Death
  • PvP Invisibility
  • Nightfall, Raid, and Dungeon Build

3. PvP Invisibility Build (PvP)

This PvP build is somewhat similar to the infinite invisibility build from earlier, but what makes it different is the playstyle it encourages. This has you going with run-and-gun style tactics using the agiletop tree Way of the Trapper along with exotics that help you evade and surprise your enemies. You utilize smoke bombs and marksman’s dodge to keep light on your feet.

Skill Tree: Way of the Trapper (Top Tree)

Ability: Marksman’s Dodge, any grenade

Armor: Graviton Forfeit (exotic helmet)

Weapons: Rat King

Armor Mods to Use: Mods that help charge melee, Strength Mods, Discipline Mods

4. Nightfall, Raid, and Dungeon Build (PvE)

This unique build is based around mods and weapons more than abilities so you can run this in tandem with the other builds on this list, though it really works well with the Infinite Invisibility build. What also makes this useful is that you have some leeway in your weapon choices so you aren’t stuck with one set loadout.

Skill Tree: Any skill tree, best if used with Infinite Invisibility Build

Ability: Marksman’s Dodge, any grenade

Armor: Graviton Forfeit (exotic helmet)

Weapons: Sidearms, SMGs, Auto rifles, grenade launchers

Armor Mods to Use: Surprise Attack, Swift Charge, Oppressive Darkness, Overload Grenades, Mods that grant “charges of light”

  • Build Strengths:
  • Easily modified
  • Can be applied with other builds
  • Good for clearing groups of enemies.

5. PvP Mobility Build (PvP)

This build focuses on getting your mobility stat as high as possible and making the most of it by choosing the right weapons. You’ll be running top tree Way of the Trapper, and use mods that buff auto rifles. It’s also helpful to mix with armor that boosts your recovery stat as well.

Skill Tree: Way of the Trapper (Top Tree)

Ability: Gambler’s Dodge, your choice of grenade

Armor: The Sixth Coyote (Exotic chest piece)

Weapons: Gnawing Hunger, or your auto rifle of choice

Armor Mods to Use: Traction, Distribution, Mobility mods, Auto rifle buffing mods
