9. Sunbreaker - Code of the Seigebreaker
“Alas, we both know how that day truly ended. Our early fortunes would be our doom.”
The Code of the Seigebreaker is sort of a mix of three different roles, dipping fingers in all of them. It has good ad clearing in the Sunspots and ability recharge increase. There's also the potential for good boss DPS with the damage buff and hammer speed when you stand in a sunspot. Also, you have some support in the Phoenix Cradle exotic, granting allies the Sunspot damage buff as well.
Code of the Siegebreaker Strengths:
Clearing low to mid-tier enemies both in and out of super.
Good map control in PvP with sunspots.
Decent self sustains with healing on ability kills.
Pick Code of the Seigebreaker if:
Want good overall crowd control.
Want a well-rounded subclass.
Enjoy watching your enemies burn!
8. Sunbreaker - Code of the Devastator
“ I saw an alliance forged in the heart of the Sunbreakers’ luminescence despite your opposition.”
Code of the Devastator is a heavy-hitting, “Lead the Charge” offensive class. Makes sense, what with the giant hammer right? Your giant hammer hits hard of course, but stacking Roaring Flames with ability kills grants massive damage bonuses. And picking up your Throwing Hammer melee after hitting an enemy grants a nice health regen bonus, allowing for survivability on that front line.
Code of the Devastator Strengths:
Easy to stack ability kill buffs, because of refreshing melee cooldown on hammer pickup.
Max Roaring Flames stacks grant one-hit-kill abilities.
The super attack has AOE swing, for ad clearing and mobility.
Super heavy attack shuts down enemy super attacks very well, heavy damage.
Pick Code of the Devastator if you:
Want a throwable melee.
Want to run pure damage and mid to high enemy clearing build.
Need an anti-super class that can roam.
Love having a big hammer!
7. Sentinel - Code of the Commander
“ Let the monsters come. Let them come forever… I don’t care.”
Code of the Commander is a heavy support and tank subclass, good at soaking up damage while buffing your allies. It’s Banner Shield super adds a much larger guard then the usual Sentinel, covering all your allies and allowing them to shoot through for a damage bonus. Your abilities also attach a void detonator to the target and when it explodes both you and allies get some ability energy and health as well.
Code of the Commander Strengths:
Great ally protection from damage, especially during boss DPS phases.
Good support as team healer with ability detonators.
Potential for low enemy clearing with chaining detonator explosions.
Pick Code of the Commander if:
You want a more passive support role.
You like chaining ability cooldowns.
You plan on running more endgame content where enemies hit very hard.
You want to be an unmoving wall against the darkness!
6. Striker - Code of the Earthshaker
‘
“And yes, turning a gunfight into a fistfight is a lot of work, tactically speaking…”
Code of the Earthshaker lives up to its name very well, granted very good ground-controlled damage. The class gives you a healthy combination of enemy clearing and DPS. Seismic Strike is a good medium-range explosive melee, plus having an extra charge and the AOE super is a recipe for good ad clearing. Terminal Velocity and Aftershock also grant more damage to your super from the higher up you use it and add damage over time field in your wake, leading to respectable boss damage.
Code of the Earthshaker Strengths:
Good melee and double grenade for a solid neutral game.
Super is great to roam and leave nothing in your trail.
Aftershock does great damage if the enemy stays in for all attacks.
Good for shutting down enemy supers.
Pick Code of the Earthshaker if:
You want a pure offence role.
You enjoy having strong abilities in PvP.
You’re having a hard time with enemy roaming supers.
You want your boots to stay grounded!
5. Striker - Code of the Missile
“ Sounds amazing; you all have fun. My fists don’t need reloading.”
Code of the Missile is a low to mid-tier enemy clearing machine. It’s Ballistic Slam is a powerful “death from above” style ground pound melee. Using this not only grants you bonus super energy per enemy hit, but it also activates Inertia Override. This buff instantly reloads your equipped weapon and grants you a weapon damage buff for a short time. The super, Thundercrash is a super-powered version of the melee, allowing for takeoff and good in-air control to fly your titan like a missile; crashing down and dealing big damage in a wide area.
Code of the Missile Strengths:
Fantastic enemy clearing, especially with the Insurmountable Skullfort exotic.
Self weapon damage buff for good DPS.
Easy super chaining with the melee.
Good mobility both in super and out.
Pick Code of the Missile if you:
Want to clear every minor enemy within jumping range.
Want an easy to use and simple wave clearing class.
Care about set roles, like wave clearing, support, tank, etc.
Enjoy good mobility in your play.
Love the rush of flight!
4. Sentinel - Code of the Aggressor
“ Let them come in their hundreds, and everyone will die at my feet.”
Code of the Aggressor is the most offensive Sentinel subclass by far, providing next to no support for your allies beyond guarding in your super and disorienting enemies. Your melee, Shield Bash is another “Shoulder Charge” ability, that will both confuse and suppress your enemies, preventing them from using abilities. Kills while surrounded by enemies will also recharge your super cool down slightly, and when you do get into your super you get an extra throwable shield. This is even more helpful with the Superior Arsenal perk, that recharge grenade energy on grenade kills; which include the throwing shield!
Code of the Aggressor strengths:
Great overall synergy.
Charge into groups with melee and confuse them, then charge your super faster by killing them.
As many grenades and shields as you can throw with refreshing energy.
Fantastic, long-lasting super with the Doom Fang Pauldrons exotic.
Pick Code of the Aggressor if you:
Enjoy the Sentinel super, but just want to be offensive, not defensive.
Love watching your enemies bump into each other while blind.
Love playing with frisbees of death.
3. Striker - Code of the Juggernaut
“ That’s the only reason I envy the hiders and the reloaders. They get to stay clean.”
The Code of the Juggernaut is just that, a nigh-unstoppable walking force of destruction. It’s melee Frontal Assault will instantly reload your weapon, and grant a short buff to weapon stability and damage. This is further helped by Knockout, where critically wounding or breaking a target’s shield will grant a bonus to melee range and damage. And to add a cherry on top of your melee sunday, all melee kills will instantly begin your health regen. And yes, this works in your super, which is even further boosted by Trample. This will return super energy on super kills with diminishing returns, leading to a much longer-lasting super.
Code of the Juggernaut Strengths:
Great PvP potential, with a strong neutral game and a very strong super.
Great add clearing, with bonus super per kill.
Great mobility in super, with a hidden decrease to the cost of the light attack, allowing you to use it to traverse gaps between enemies.
Great self sustain, with healing from all melees.
Pick Code of the Juggernaut if:
You don’t care about teammates, you want to be a one-man army.
You’re an avid PvP player.
Your play style relies heavily on meleeing enemies.
You like longer-lasting roaming supers.
If the title “Juggernaut” excites you!
2. Sunbreaker - Code of the Fire-Forged
“ Green fire and failure would be your sole remembrance of that day.”
Code of the Fire-Forged is a perfect blend of offence and support. Your Hammer Strike melee will shoulder charge an enemy and weaken it, causing it to take 50% more damage and burn for a short time. This support plus Tempered Metal, which grants you and your allies bonus reload and movement speed on ability skills leads to a good team-oriented build. Your Hammer of Sol super is great at both enemy clearing and boss damage. Every hammer will split into 4 embers on impact, dealing additional AOE damage on who they hit, including the original target. Additionally, any target killed in your super explodes, chaining even more damage.
Code of the Fire-Forged Strengths:
Great team oriented subclass.
Hammer Strike allows for extremely fast boss kills on those you can reach.
Allows for fast-moving in between rooms with tempered metal.
Hammer of Sol’s Embers work great for shutting down supers in PvP.
Pick Code of the Fire-Forged if:
You aren’t afraid of getting close to a boss to debuff it.
You enjoy solo play but still want to help your team.
You want fast reloads and movement speed.
You just really like explosions!
1. Sentinel - Code of the Protector
“ I am the wall against which the Darkness breaks.”
Code of the Protector is the ultimate support tank class for a titan. Your Defensive Strike melee will grant both you and your nearby allies an overshield and restore full health. On top of that, while you have an overshield you will gain increased melee damage and reload speed, as well as restoring a small amount of melee energy for every kill you get, to get your shield back even faster. The most impactful point of the subclass is the super, however. If you hold the super buttons, you’ll unleash the Ward of Dawn. This is an almost unbreakable barrier, requiring intense super focus to take it down in PvP. While in the Ward, you and all allies will gain a heavy overshield, protecting you completely. You’ll also gain the Weapons of Light buff passing through it, granting your team 35% more damage for a short time.
Code of the Protector Strengths:
Super is an Absolute defence, active for 30 seconds.
Melee abilities grant fantastic sustain for you and allies.
Super allows you to support allies, while still able to move and deal damage yourself.
With Helm of Saint-14, grants you and allies another overshield running through the Ward, along with stunning enemies that enter.
Pick Code of the Protector if:
You enjoy the traditional support role in games.
You have a hard time surviving, and want a consistent shield
If you plan on soloing difficult content and need an emergency protective barrier
You want to embrace the titan motto “Be the wall against which the Darkness breaks.”
