With a total of 70 to be discovered, sorceries are the focus of every aspiring Intelligence build in the world of Elden Ring. Each one with its own uses and power. However, finding and testing out all 70 sorceries can be a daunting, even pointless task for any player. With this in mind, I have decided to compile a list of the 10 best sorceries in the entire game. This list will include a description of each sorcery's effect, their required stats, costs to use, strengths, and the location the player can find it. Read closely, as this list will include everything from the blistering power of “Comet Azur" to the necessary utility of “Scholar’s Armament”!
Given by Primeval Sorcerer Azur, “Comet Azur”, fires an all powerful massive and continuous stream of Comet energy at the caster’s target.

Strengths
Damage
-If casted by a player with a maxed out Intelligence stat, this sorcery becomes one of the highest damage dealing sorceries in the entire game.
Continuity
-This sorcery can be continuously cast as long as the caster has FP to spare. Use it to rinse the HP of larger enemies.
How To Get
Obtained from Primeval Sorcerer Azur within Hermit Village at Mt. Gelmir.
2. Canon of Haima (Glintstone Sorcery)

Located on the top of the Converted Fringe Tower, the “Canon of Haima", launches a ball of magical energy that explodes on contact. Can be charged for greater power.

Area Damage
-This sorcery deals a massive amount of explosive area damage upon contact with the target. Use it to clear out hordes of enemies with one shot.
How To Get
Found in the chest at the top of Converted Fringe Tower.
3. Roiling Magma (Magma Sorcery)

Looted from a corpse within the Hermit’s Shack, “Roiling Magma”, launches flaming mines at the caster’s desired location that explode after a delay.

Strengths
Crowd Control
-This sorcery creates mines that deal fire damage before they explode after a delay. Control the battlefield by placing fiery bombs wherever your enemies intend to stand.
Fire Damage
-This sorcery is one of only three sorceries capable of dealing fire damage.
How To Get
Found on a corpse inside the Hermit's Shack at Mt. Gelmir.
4. Loretta’s Greatbow (Loretta’s Sorcerie)

Taken from Royal Knight Loretta, “Loretta's Greatbow”, conjures a magical Greatbow within the hands of the caster that fires a single shot. Can be charged for greater power.

Ranged Combat
-This sorcery is capable of hitting enemies over a large distance, allowing the caster to inflict heavy damage from beyond the battlefield. Use it to eliminate individual enemies before they can ever reach you. Useful against bosses as well.
How To Get
Looted off the corpse of Royal Knight Loretta upon defeat.
5. Great Glintstone Shard (Glintstone Sorcery)

Purchased from a number of sorcerers, “Great Glintstone Shard”, fires a large magic projectile at the caster’s target.

Intelligence- 16

FP- 12

Strengths
Versatility
-This sorcery is the perfect exchange of cost and damage. At a moderately low FP cost it is perfect for overwhelming your enemies with a torrent of dangerous projectiles. Useful in nearly every PvE encounter.
How To Get
Purchased from either Miriel Pastor of Vows, Sorceress Sellen, or Preceptor Seluvis for 2,000 runes after delivering them the Academy Scroll.
6. Swift Glintstone Shard (Glintstone Sorcery)

Purchased from a number of sorcerers, “Swift Glintstone Shard”, fires a small and quick magic projectile at the caster’s target.
Required Stats
Intelligence- 12
Cost
FP- 5
Stamina- 9
Strengths
PvP
-While it does barely any damage, this sorcery is also extremely low cost and quick to cast. Other spells can be incredibly easy for another player to dodge, but not these. Keep firing and you'll be able to whittle your enemies' health down, cause them to flinch, and/or exhaust their stamina.
How To Get
Purchased from either Miriel Pastor of Vows, Sorceress Sellen, or Preceptor Seluvis for 600 runes after delivering them the Academy Scroll.
7. Terra Magica (Glintstone Sorcery)

Found in a chest atop the Crystallian guarded tower, “Terra Magica”, casts a circle that provides a magic buff to anyone inside.

Strengths
Support Magic
-This sorcery provides a 35% magic buff in PvE and a 20% buff in PvP.
How To Get
Found in the chest that rests at the top of the tower that follows the defeat of the Crystallians at the end of Academy Crystal Cave.
8. Lucidity (Carian Sorcery)

Looted off of the corpse of Perceptor Miriam, “Lucidity” cures the caster of Sleep and Madness.

Support Magic
-This sorcery heals that caster of the Sleep and Madness effect as well as lowering its accumulation.
How To Get
Dropped by Perceptor Miriam upon Defeat.
9. Frozen Armament (Cold Sorcery)

Looted off of the Corpse of a Teardrop Scarab, “Frozen Armament”, imbues normal weapons with Cold damage.

At the end of the day, let’s be real, 70 sorceries is far too many to wait to try each and every one in a single playthrough. So start with these 10 to not only ensure your survival but guarantee your success as a Sorcerer in The Lands Between. Whether it's from leagues away with “Loretta's Greatbow” or up close and personal with “Frozen Armament”, you’ll be sure to make it through in one piece.
