While wandering around Tamriel in the Elder Scrolls Online, you may have witnessed other players killing creatures that you couldn't kill very easily.
This may be because you don't have enough experience or don't use S-Tier classes. Today I will explain to you which PvE DPS classes are S-Tier in ESO!
Are you as thrilled as I am? Let's begin!
THE CLASS TIER LIST
The ESO DPS Tier List considers several variables. We examine things such as damage, self-healing, mobility, range, sustainability, and defence capabilities.
Although there are more indicators, in ESO these indicators are more important than others.
S-TIER
These are the most powerful classes at the top in ESO. Along with the awesome abilities of these classes, their passive healing, offensive and defensive abilities make ESO feel like you're playing in easy mode.
All players in the game, from beginners to experts, will find these classes to be excellent options.
- Magicka Templar 100/100
- Magicka Nightblade 90/100
- Stamina Sorcerer 80/100
A-TIER
These classes are still strong. You can complete all PvE content in the game like an easy mode. What distinguishes these classes from S-tier classes is that S-Tier classes are slightly stronger, but that doesn't mean these classes are weak.
- Magicka Sorcerer 75/100
- Stamina Nightblade 75/100
- Stamina Templar 70/100
- Magicka Dragonknight 70/100
- Stamina Dragonknight 65/100
B-TIER
- Magicka Warden 60/100
- Stamina Warden 55/100
C-TIER
- Stamina Necromancer 50/100
- Magicka Necromancer 45/100
1. Magicka Templar aka The Golden Boy (S+ TIER)
The Templar has been one of the most powerful classes since ESO's first release. The reason Magplar is ranked at the top is that it has no downsides.
Apart from its other classes, this class makes everything superior to the others. It’s easy to play and very powerful, and it has high defense and high resource sustainability.
Pros;
- High Defence
- High Sustain
- Great Damage
- Great AOE Damage
- Best Spammable Skill in ESO
2. Magicka Nightblade (S TIER)
The Magicka-focused Nightblade is excellent at soloing, but it's harder to play than Magplar. Let me mention that Magic Nightblade performs impressively across the board but does not top every category.
Don't get me wrong, this class is so good and will outperform all classes except Magplar. The Nightblade boasts strong skills like Swallow Soul, Merciless Resolve, Impale, Sap Essence, and Siphoning Attacks that inflict incredible damage and heal you at the same time, while allowing you to move around freely and stay at maximum range.
Pros;
- High Ultimate Generation
- High Sustain
- High Damage
Cons;
- Poor Defence
- Not Beginner Friendly
3. Stamina Sorcerer (S- TIER)
The Stamina Sorcerer is on our list as the 3rd best class. You have access to strong abilities that augment your damage, such as Hurricane, Crystal Weapon, and Bound Armour.
I know you've been thinking how Stamina Sorcerer is more viable than Magicka Sorcerer. Before you jump to a conclusion, give me a chance.
The similarities between Stam Sorc and Mag Sorc are almost the same. Insane survivability, ease of play, resource sustain, but the biggest factor separating the 2 from each other is that Stamina Sorcerer’s AoE damage.
When using skills like Hurricane, Caltrops, and Carve, you may effortlessly melt large groups of enemies where the Mag Sorc just cannot.
Pros;
- Great For Solo Play
- High DPS
- Insane Mobility
- Great Healing
- Great Sustain
- Great AoE Damage
Cons;
- Not Beginner Friendly
4. Magicka Sorcerer (A+ TIER)
Everything I wrote about Stam Sorc above applies to Mag Sorc. The only difference is that Stam Sorc's AoE damage is higher. But that doesn't mean Mag Sorc is weak.
If you're new to the game and looking for an easy-to-play class, Mag Sorc is your best bet.
Pros;
- Is simple to play and does a lot of damage.
- Easy Rotation
- Insane Mobility
- Great Healing
- Very Beginner Friendly
Cons;
- Some players dislike having pets in their group because they interfere with line of sight
5. Stamina Nightblade (A+)
Although Stamina Nightblades are a very popular class in the game, they are also challenging to master.
They are very strong and dynamic, but also very vulnerable when it comes to survival. They also lack range. But, they are very powerful damage dealers.
They have a very distinctive advantage over most other stamina setups thanks to powerful skills like Surprise Attack, Relentless Focus, Killer's Blade, Power Extraction, and Incapacitating Strike, as well as good sustain thanks to Incapacitating Strike and Leeching Strikes.
Pros;
- Does a lot of damage.
- Great for group play
- Insane Mobility and Stealth
- Great Healing
- Good Sustain
Cons;
- Not very beginner friendly
- Complex Rotation
- Poor Defence
6. Stamina Templar (A TIER)
Stamina Templar is easy to play, but its counterpart, the Magplar, is far superior. Empowering Sweep and Biting Jabs are two of a Stamina Templar's distinctive skills.
Although stamina Templars have excellent damage and endurance, they lack range and survivability. Why use this class when there is a Magicka Templar?
Pros;
- Excellent Damage
- Easy to Play
Cons;
- Small Range
- Poor Sustain
7. Magicka Dragonknight (A TIER)
The Magicka Dragonknight has a very good DPS. However, you must be at melee range to make the most of this class as a DPS, which makes it slightly more challenging to control than the other classes.
At the same time, skills like Burning Embers, Engulfing Flames, Molten Whip, and Flame Lash increase your fire damage, heal you, and destroy foes. Together with Eruption, they can assist you with finishing practically any content. It has extremely good DoTs, AoE and defence, but it takes more effort than a Warden or Sorcerer.
Pros;
- Excellent Damage
- Good Heal
- Good Defence
- Excellent DoT’s
- Excellent AoE
Cons;
- Small Range
- Not Beginner Friendly
8. Stamina Dragonknight (A- TIER)
The Stamina Dragonknight is a strong and enjoyable stamina-based DPS class that can be challenging to learn. They have a very good DPS, AoE, and DoT’s too, but its counterpart Magicka Dragonknight has better resource sustain, movability, and healing.
They have strong skills like Stone Giant, Venomous Claw, Noxious Breath, and ultimates like Standard of Might or Corrosive Armour. you need to use Ultimates strategically to restore resources. Because, they lack sustain.
Pros
- Excellent Damage
- Excellent DoT’s
- Excellent AoE
Cons
- Poor Sustain
- Poor Movability
- Poor Healing
- Not Beginner Friendly
9. Magicka Warden (B+ TIER)
Pros;
- Excellent Damage
- Excellent DoT’s
- Excellent AoE
Cons;
- Not Beginner Friendly
- Poor Sustain
10. Stamina Warden (B- TIER)

- Very Complex
- Poor Sustain
- Poor Survivability
11. Stamina Necro (C TIER)
Pros;
- Excellent Raw Damage
- Excellent DoT’s
- Good for Group Play
Cons;
- Poor Sustain
- Poor Survivability
- Need of specific gears
12. Magicka Necro (C- TIER)
Pros;
- Excellent Raw Damage
- Good for Group Play
Cons;
- Very Poor Sustain
- Very Poor Survivability
- Need of specific gears
- Bad for Solo Play
- Very Complex Rotations
