Top 5 ESO Best Race For Warden (Ranked Good To Best)
A guide on the best Races for Warden.
The Warden class in Elder Scrolls Online is a great class to play. It focuses on nature, animals, and magic. This makes it a very fun and versatile class to play. While there are many great options for which race to choose for this class I am going to go over what I feel are the top five and why including what skill spec would be best for that option.
5. Dark Elf

Dark Elf is a great option for people that are looking for versatility in the way that they play their character. It gives the player some good options in choosing which roll they want for their character.
Dark Elf is a good choice if you are looking for:
- A race that will work if you are unsure if you want to spec your character Magicka or stamina. This race works well for both if you change your mind later.
- Has decent Fire resistance.
I would say that the Dark Elf is a great option for people that are:
- New to the Warden Class
- Unsure of what role they want to play.
- Or just want versatility.

4. Breton

Breton is a great option when choosing the race of your warden. It offers some flexibility between whether or not you want to be a healer or Magika DPS. And if you are the type of player that wants to stick closely to the lore of the game, the Breton class is a great choice for this along with options for a strong character.
Breton is Great for Warden because:
- They offer a great boost to Magicka
- They are great for both Healing and DPS Roles
- They have a decreased Magicka cost that allows spells to be cast more often
In my opinion, I would say Breton is a good option for people that are:
- Wanting to make a Healer
- Want a race that fits the lore of Elder Scrolls
- Want a good option for a Magika DPS character

Nord makes a great option as the race for your warden if you are wanting to be stamina-based. They are also a great choice for those players that want to be stamina based on how they spec their character. I like the Nords when I want my character to have a human look to them as well.
Why Nord is Great for Warden:
- Have a decent health recovery.
- Strong Stamina Increase.
- Good Physical and Spell resistance
Nord is a great option if you are looking for:
- A strong tank.
- Good supporting role when in a party
- Fit well with the lore of the game if that is your goal.

2. High Elf
High Elves have always been one of my go-to races for my characters when I am choosing to play a Warden. Not only do I find them beautiful, but I also love the added benefits they offer me. They have a significant increase in Magicka as well as a decent increase to spell damage that is hard to pass up.
High Elf is Great for Warden:
- Offers an increase in Magicka that is beneficial to many builds.
- Increase in Spell damage
- Increase in Destruction Staff skill
High Elf is a great option if:
- You want to go with a DPS Magicka build
- Plan on using a Destruction Staff
