Fallout 76 Best Commando Builds (Top 5)

Fallout 76 commando builds
Going in like an expert Commando.

1. Bloodied Stealth Commando Build

What Bloodied Stealth Commando Build Excels In:

  • This build focuses on stealth and VATS usage, and it is extremely effective when taking down enemies unnoticed.
  • The armor used in this build is the Unyielding armor except for one piece of Chameleon armor that assists in stealth.
  • The Unyielding armor increases all stats except for Endurance when health is low.
  • The perks that are used to help increase the efficiency of this build are:
    • Bandolier
    • Concentrated Fire
    • All three Commando Perks at max ranks
    • Sneak

*Note: These are not all the perks used in this build, just the ones that bring out the build's focus at it's best.

2. Spam Commando Build

What Spam Commando Build Excels In:

  • This build uses Bandolier because of the amount of ammo this particular plays like to bring.
  • In Perception, the oerks used are Master Commando, Commando, Expert Commando, and Tank Killer. All of them are at rank 3, which adds an additional 20% automatic rifle damage as well as your rifles ignoring 36% of armor on your enemies.
  • Lone Wanderer and Nerd Rage have benefitted this build.
    • Nerd Rage: While below 20% Health, gain 40 Damage Resist, 20% damage and 15% AP regen.
    • Lone Wanderer: When adventuring alone, take 20% less damage and gain 30% AP regen.

3. AR Commando Build

What AR Commando Build Excels In:

  • Anti AK is one of the weapons used with this build, and what makes this weapon really dope is that the bullets used for it explode for area damage and use 25% less V.A.T.S AP.
  • The Perception perks used for this build are pretty similar to before except for the use of Ground Pounder at rank 1, which means automatic rifles now reload 10% faster and have better hip fire accuracy.

4. V.A.T.S Commando Build

What V.A.T.S Commando Build Excels In:

  • The weapon on this build is absolutely incredible. Taking down Scorched Beasts with this bad boy will not be a problem, in fact, they may start flying away from you. The Bloodied Supressed Automatic Handmade Rifle, comes in matte black, will have you become unstoppable.
  • The Commando perks are all in place with this build but what very interesting is the use of Better Criticals in Luck. This allows for V.A.T.S criticals to do 40% more damage.

5. High Health Commando Build

What High Health Commando Build Excels In:

  • This build really ups the anty on health as you can see with the perk cards. As a Commando build, it still runs the Master, Expert, and lone Commando cards.
  • In Strength, you see Traveling Pharmacy, and that's a particularly good card to have and what that does is reduces the weight of all your first aid including stimpaks but 90%. So you won't have to worry about carrying all your stimpaks on you, they won't weigh you down as much with this card.
  • Cola Nut is a personal favorite if you're trying to run any type of high health build. You'll find that Nuka Cola effects are more beneficial if you're running this perk, that means more HP after you down an entire bottle. Better than having to use more than one, or the Quantum that you were saving for emergencies.
  • Field Surgeon and First Aid are a given to have if you're running health builds.
  • Field Surgeon: Stimpaks and RadAway will now work much more quickly.
  • First Aid: Restore a certain amount of percentage more of your HP, depending on what rank you're going for.
    • 1 - 15%
    • 2 - 30%
    • 3 - 45%
