13. Paladins: Champions of the Realm
Paladins is a hero shooter game, similar to Overwatch. You can choose from dozens of characters, each with its own special ability. The tree creature, Grover, for example, can make you a champion by using his ax to heavily damage enemies and heal your teammates. Although Paladins might not strike you as the leading “hero shooter” game, there is a lot more to Paladins. Ah, the OG shooter game. Now, you might’ve come across CrossFire in the mid-2000s as to how popular and legendary it was. Now that it’s almost 20 years later, the game remains an incredible shooter game. You can experience CrossFire as a deathmatch, free-for-all, and even zombie mode! The Cycle is a PvEvP game, which may sound confusing, but it’s just a combination of player vs environment vs player. Although Yager labels The Cycle as a “competitive quest shooter game”, there is a lot more. Although The Cycle is a new game, it bravely pushes the battle royale genre off the table and comes up with something totally different these days. The big ten is Black Squad, a free-to-play military first-person-shooter that allows you to show off your weapons and skills.
Black Squad is a military first-person shooter game. The game is very fair, with absolutely zero “pay to win” objectives, unlike other games. Instead of richness buying power, you can earn them through in-game currencies or get to a certain level. You can eliminate your opponents with incredible sound effects and animation, play on the oldest computers, and customize your weapons with skins you love. Up next is the Ring of Elysium, a unique battle royale shooter developed by Aurora Studio.
You might be familiar with battle royale games, but the Ring of Elysium is one of a kind. Tencent decided to come up with a different kind of battle royale game after its PUBG was a huge hit. The Ring of Elysium is a game that doesn’t mainly focus on firing down other players. Instead, the objective is survival. The setting is a snowy mountain packed with snowstorms, while you and your squad of 4 can either get eliminated either by the environment or other players. The only way to survive is to board a helicopter or to just outlive others. Destiny 2: New Light is a rising shooter game that is easy to learn, with much more to come. It offers both PvE and PvP, which is nice. You can either follow the storylines and be steady in PvE or just hammer it down like a boss in PvP. Either way, I’m sure that you will find what you love most in this game and you’ll be playing like a pro in a week.

6. Team Fortress 2
With a well-balanced class system and amazing graphics, Team Fortress 2 has resulted in receiving good reviews and a growing number of monthly players. Each class has its own role and play styles, even though there are 9 classes such as snipers, soldiers, and engineers, the team of Team Fortress 2 still came up with amazing ideas. The team has a few modes, for example capturing the flag and arena. In the strong 5th place, we have Warframe, a cooperative free-to-play third-person online action game set in an evolving sci-fi world.
Not to get confused with Warface, Warframe is something way different. Warframe is a 2013 science-fiction third-player game. This game is set in the future on a different planet, where creatures battle it out with other players. Then players are placed against enemies in a superior number, then receiving special weapons, each unique and special in their own way. Forgetting about being a primary shooter game, the team of Warframe has a focus on the arsenal in the gameplay, allowing for endless creativity in combat.

Calling in at 4th place is Planetside 2, an all-out planetary war, where thousands of players battle as one across enormous continents.
Planetside 2 is a great game, you fight a war from the future on an alien planet against 3 other teams that are unique in their own way. When you start, you get some newbie guns that are very effective. Other than the fact that the game is unique, fun and incredibly satisfying, the game also has massive battles, modes available for all styles, and so much more. With just making the podium, Valorant is a 5v5 character-based tactical FPS where precise gunplay meets unique agent abilities.
Valorant is a rising Moba-FPS game that has the setting of a slight futuristic place. You are automatically paired with everyone else on all levels, which makes it hard to learn and makes the pros better instead of the newcomers. Calling in at the champion spot is Apex Legends, an award-winning, free-to-play Battle Royale team shooter from Respawn Entertainment.
This may be just another battle royale game that’s incredible, but let me show you what has kept this game successful for the past few years. This game is similar to the COD warzone, but instead, you can play as one of the 13 legends, each with their own unique abilities. The battle royale game is set on a map with teams of 2 or 3. Apex Legends may feel like something that is way different than battle royale games, but there is still a circle that closes in, and a few features that are unique; like the device that flings you up in the air.
