A game very reminiscent of the movie Gladiator, Ryse is an RPG game in which you follow the story of Marius Titus, a brave Centurion for the Romans, and his battle to defeat the barbarians that decimated his family. It also has interesting multiplayer modes for you to play, leading into gory battles against waves of enemies.
So why is Ryse a great game to play?
- Easy to master combat system which speeds up the fun.
- An interesting story mode for those who want all the guts and glory without the hectic PVP rigamarole.
- Cooperative Colosseum Mode allows you to fight with a friend, or on your own, against waves of enemies and trying to accomplish objectives together. Think CoD Zombies but with gladiators!
- Survival Mode is interesting to play. You are bleeding out and you must kill in order to stay alive.

So what puts this game a cut above the rest?

- Unlike many multiplayer melee slashers, you have to learn controls and have to get good at the game, making it as challenging as it is fun.
- The battles are huge! The 32 vs. 32 battles make for a lot of chaos, and a lot more people to lay waste to. Who doesn’t like that?
- The combat itself is very complex. It’s a free form melee type of combat, which allows you to gain complete control over your character and fight in your own personal style.
- In depth character customization allows you to create a unique fighter all your own.

- There are many weapons to choose from, as well as machines like catapults to use to crush your enemies.
- There is also an option to play by yourself offline with AI in order to practice and hone your skills for the real thing.
