Ghost of Tsushima

I love big bows and I cannot lie, I’m not the only one. While our hero is known to be a connoisseur with a blade, it seems a lot of people are testing themselves with a bow to greater effect. Here are a few nifty bows we would recommend you try out instead of slicing your way to the finish.

1. Half Bow

Bullseye

This is the first bow that most people will be able to get pretty early on in the game. A quick-fire option allows you to riddle your opponent with arrows before he can get close to you once mastered. The arrows have moderate power & speed however you can’t knockback or headshot a foe with a helmet on.

Benefits:

Great for closer enemies, quick reload speed. Can be upgraded and modified.

Where to find it:

Go to Hyoshi Springs. Find Ishikawa at the top of the dojo at Hyoshi springs Complete the tale of Sensai Ishikawa.

2. Long Bow

Oh go away leaves

It’s a lot trickier to find and could be completely missed if you aren’t the Indiana Jones type, to be honest. This beauty provides you with a hell of a powerful shot compared to the Half bow but can take an age to unleash, all that power needs time to build up I guess, It’s all in the core.

Benefits:

Powerful shot armored foes get knocked back from the impact. Can be upgraded to devastating effect.

Where to find it:

Complete the following quests, The Tale of Lady Masako Blood on The Grass, The Warriors Code, and The Tale of Sensai Ishikawa.

3. Cursed Bow

An early morning stretch

Another version of the longbow. But it’s cursed! This is only one quest that is optional to complete and has a cool boss scene to deal with. Once finished you are then gifted with explosive arrows which inflict lasting damage on any poor sod you aim at.

Benefits

The bloody explosive arrows,  a selection of nice bow kits, Can be upgraded.

Where to find

Head to Hyoshi Springs to speak to the musician then go to Hyoshi Coast. Follow the blue flowers once you have ended up in Hidden Springs then go to the rock structure to the river cliff. Locate a tomb cracked open then make your way down to the coastline (check marker on map) Head to the north of the coastline and you will spot blue flowers again. Swim to the shore and head to the cave entrance Inside the cave. Find a painting pointing to the next area that leads you to the mountains of the Hyoshi springs. Go south and follow the flowers which lead to the hidden temple then the follow the blue follows to the bow.
