Do you need some quick cash to buy that brand-new overpriced sports car so you can impress your friends? Or do you want to buy a tank to cause havoc on the streets of Los Santos? If so, then this is the guide for you! This guide will discuss the top 5 easiest ways to make money in GTA online in 2022.
1. The Cayo Perico Heist
This method does require some costs before you can start, but I can personally guarantee that this method is one of the easiest ways to make money in GTA online, I have used this method personally and in about 3 days, I was able to make over $30 Million GTA Dollars.
To start you will need to buy yourself the Kosatka Submarine costing $2.2 million. Check out the other ways to make money in this article if you don’t have enough money.
When you have the Kosatka ready, head over to the planning screen in the top floor of the submarine. Then you should see a menu pop up with various options to choose from.
The first thing you should do, is gather intel, this is how you identify the primary and secondary targets as well as get information about the infiltration points, escape points, compound entry points, and points of interest.

And finally, this is a list of all the Primary and secondary targets according to their value:
- The Panther Statue: 1.9M (Normal) | 2.09M (Hard)
- Pink Diamond: 1.3M (Normal) | 1.43M (Hard)
- Bearer Bonds: 1.1M (Normal) | 1.21M (Hard)
- Ruby Necklace: 1M (Normal) | 1.1M (Hard)
- Special Alcohol: 900k (Normal) | 990k (Hard)
This is the list of all the secondary items, note that they are scattered across the island and you can only take as much as your bag can hold.
- Gold – 75% of bag space, $330.000 per stack
- Artwork – 50% of bag space, $192.000 per stack
- Cocaine – 50% of bag space, $221.760 per stack
- Weed – 33% of bag space, $109.000 per stack
- Cash – 25% of bag space, $89.595 per stack
All these items have a RANDOM chance of appearing. Also just keep in mind that there is a 10% fencing fee on top of your full take, and Pavel (The captain) takes 2%.
The only downside to this method is that after completing it you will have to wait about 4 in-game days before being able to repeat it.
2. The Agency
This method lets you undertake missions for Franklin Clinton. Firstly, you will need to purchase an agency. Their prices vary between $2M and $2.8M. Each agency also has additional features that can be included, like the private bedroom, but it is not required to make money.
By accessing the laptop in the upstairs office, you can do security contracts, which can earn you anywhere between $30k and $150k. This is also dependent on the difficulty setting, so if you get a higher difficulty, you will make more money.
The more security contracts you complete, the more money you get on a daily basis, which can be accessed from your safe located in the office.
Another way to make money with this method, is to do pay phone hits, which is basically just an assassination mission. To do this you can either call Franklin and select the option request pay phone hit or while playing in freemode, you can keep a lookout on the map for a blue phone icon to appear. Just walk up to the phone to receive a pay phone hit.
These pay phone missions can earn between $10k and $100k. There is also a bonus objective available which can earn you extra cash.
The agency also includes a mini heist which can also be initiated from the office. You will have to do a few setups to do the heist finale. Upon completion of the heist, you will get 1M GTA dollars, and the heist can be replayed without a time penalty.
3. The bunker
For this method you will have to register as a MC president, or a CEO. I would recommend registering as a MC president, because if you are playing with other people, they can also make some money from this method.
So, for this method you will need to purchase a bunker, they cost between $1.1M and $2.03M. and there are additional upgrades available:
- Equipment upgrade: $693.00
- Staff: $359.00
- Security: $210.600
I would recommend you get all these upgrades because they can make you more money in less time. The security upgrade decreases the chance of having your bunker raided.
Inside the bunker, there is a computer where you can retrieve supplies or sell your stock. You can either resupply the bunker yourself, which would be time-consuming and you would have to do multiple resupply missions. If you choose to buy supplies, you will have to pay $75k, and these supplies take about 5-10 minutes to arrive, but they completely fill out the supply level.
All you have to do is to ensure that the bunker has supplies so that the stock level builds over time. It does take a while to max out your stock level, so I recommend running this method in the background, and do something else while you wait.
When your stock is full, you must always sell to Los Santos, because then you will make more money doing so, it might take a bit longer, but the profits are worth it. With this method, you can earn around $2.1M for selling full stock.
4. vehicle cargo
For this method, you will need to purchase a special vehicle garage. They range in price from $2.3M to $2.45M. You will need a CEO office as well.
To source vehicles, you will need to go to your office and access the computer. There you will be able to source vehicles for your vehicle cargo garage. Once you have a vehicle in your garage, you are able to sell it by accessing the computer in that garage.
There are 3 tiers of vehicles available:
- Standard: $30k profit.
- Mid-Range: $50k profit.
- Top-end: $80k profit.
The trick to this method is to ensure that you have 10 standard and 10 mid-range cars in your garage, and then you will only source high-end vehicles.
Note that to sell any car, you will have to pay a small fee depending on the quality of the car. If the car is damaged while sourcing it, you will have to pay to have it repaired.
If you only sell high-end vehicles you can make around $240k an hour. There is a 20-minute cooldown between selling cars, so just keep that in mind. I would recommend that you sell in a session with at least 1 other player, otherwise the game will spawn people who will try to destroy your cargo.
5. CEO/VIP work
This method is best for new players who do not own any businesses. All you need is to have $50k in your bank account, then you can register as a VIP from the interaction menu.
When registered as a VIP, open the interaction menu, and select the option VIP work. This is where you can do easy missions that can earn you around $20k per mission. It would be best to do these missions with an armored car or a buzzard. I would recommend you do these missions in an invite-only session so that other players cannot disturb you.
The 3 missions you need to do are headhunter, sightseer, and hostile takeover. You can do other missions but those 3 are the easiest and pay the most.

Other Methods
Throughout GTA online, there are various other ways to make money as well. There are adversary modes and versus modes which you can play with friends, or contact missions which you can access through the online menu.
If you have a group of friends that play on a daily basis, you can utilize the MC businesses like the cocaine and weed lockups. You can also do the apartment heists.
