This guide will discuss the top 5 ways to rob the armored trucks that spawn in single-player. These armored trucks contain a briefcase of money that can earn between $3000 and $7500 in just a few minutes.

The armored trucks can be identified on the map with a blue icon, so they should be easy to spot. There are 10 different armored trucks that spawn in Los Santos.

Method 1

For this method, you will need to use sticky bombs. These bombs are available from any ammunation gun store in Los Santos. They cost $400 each, and the player can carry up to a maximum of 25 sticky bombs at any time.

Once you’ve located the armored truck, simply throw the sticky bomb on the armored truck’s back door. If you are playing on keyboard, press G to detonate the bomb. If you are playing on console, it should be the right arrow on the D-pad.

Once the bomb has been detonated, the back doors of the truck should fall off, and you should see a flashing briefcase appear. Just pick up the briefcase to get your payment, and that’s it.

Just note that once you attack the armored truck you will get a 2-star wanted level, so you need to try to do this fast to avoid getting a high level, because if you die you will lose some of the money that you stole.

Method 2

For this method, you need to steal a bus, or a large vehicle like a truck with a trailer. You can find these larger vehicles in the industrial areas of Los Santos or on the highways that lead out of the city.

Once you have the large vehicle that you want to use, try to park it a few blocks ahead of the armored truck to setup a roadblock. Once the armored truck stops at the roadblock, use an assault rifle to gun down the driver and passenger of the truck. Once they are killed, just steal the truck and take it to a quiet location where you torch the truck with sticky bombs.

If you use this method, you will get a 3-star wanted level, which might be harder to evade, so just keep that into consideration.

Method 3

For this method, you will need to use a cargobob. These vehicles can be purchased for $1.79m. To find the vehicle needed, access the internet on your phone, and find the Warstock Cache & Carry website. If you scroll around this website, you should find the cargobob. Once you have purchased the vehicle, you can use it by going to the heliport in the city.

If you have located an armored truck and you have collected your new cargobob, then you are ready to proceed with this method. You need to release the hook underneath the cargobob, and fly up to the truck. Now you need to try to align the hook with the center of the roof of the truck. If you have done this correctly, you should be able to pick up the truck and take it to a safe location.

The driver of the truck should jump out of the vehicle once you have hooked it. Now, once you have it in a safe location, you can blow up the backdoors with a sticky bomb and take the briefcase. You should have a 2-star wanted level, so all you need to do is evade the cops and the cash is yours.

Method 4

In this method, you can use a military vehicle like a tank, buzzard, or jet. You can find these vehicles at the military base, or you can purchase them from the military website, Warstock Cache & Carry. The tank can be purchased for $1m and the buzzard for $1.75M.

Once you have your military vehicle, you need to find one of the armored trucks and just simply destroy it with your vehicle. You should be able to pick up the briefcase and escape the cops with your military vehicle.

Another method is to just plant at least 5 stick bombs on the road and wait for the armored truck to drive over them, and then to detonate them to destroy the truck. You can also use an RPG or a grenade launcher, which can also be purchased by ammunation.

Method 5

This method is for those who do not own any sticky bombs or do not have access to military vehicles. Once you have located an armored truck, you need to kill the driver and steal the vehicle. You will get a 2-star wanted level, so you would need to lose the cops. An easy way to lose the cops is to hide out in the sewer, on the main highway in the city, there would be an entrance to this sewer. Just wait there until you have lost the cops.

Once you have lost the cops, you can simply shoot the front of the truck until it starts smoking and eventually it will catch fire and blow up, once it is destroyed just locate the briefcase near the back of the vehicle.

Another way is to use a jerrycan to pour gasoline all over the vehicle. Once you are satisfied, you can shoot the gasoline with a firearm and watch as it burns. Once the truck is destroyed, find the briefcase and leave the area.
