Lavasioth defends itself using its tough "lava" skin. Whenever it swims in lava, its skin softens for a while, but also hardens over time. Its elemental resistances also change when its skin hardens. Most weapons will bounce on a hardened Lavasioth skin. Even bowgun piercing ammo will deal less damage. Immediately attack Lavasioth right after it swims out of lava to take advantage of its softened skin. Bring cool drinks because Lavasioth lives in a hot area. Focus attack on its legs to make it fall. Its head and belly are always vulnerable.
Monster Information
in-game information: " Lavasioth utilizes molten lava as armor. They are extremely aggressive and will attack without prejudice until the threat has been eliminated."

Uragaan
Strategy and Tips
Uragaan's size enables it to use wide range attacks. It can also roll to quickly charge at hunters from a distance. It has a tough jaw, which can cause melee weapons to bounce. Be careful when positioned near its jaw. Uragaan can immediately use its jaw to attack after a stunning roar. Jaw attacks can also stagger or cause a tremor effect. When enraged, it can drop explosives which don't detonate instantly. However, the explosives can be detonated by Uragaan's attacks or any attacks from hunters. Stay cautious when attacking from close range. Uragaan can release gas which can cause burning or sleep. Due to its thickness and length, pierce bowgun ammo can be most effective when aimed at a good position.

Zorah Magdaros
Strategy and Tips
At first, Zorah Magdaros can't be attacked directly using hunter weapons. Use the cannons and ballistae as much as possible to deal damage to it. In the last phase of the battle, hunters can directly attacks its magma cores. These magma cores can explode so staying close at all times is not advisable. It's also important to know the directions to its magma cores to save time. Zorah Magdaros isn't affected by status ailements.

Nergigante
Strategy and Tips
Nergigante uses the spikes on its body to protect itself. Over time, these spikes toughen and turn black. Blackened spikes can cause melee weapons to bounce. To avoid this, always attack Nergigante's spikes while they are still "fresh" or colored white. An aggressive playstyle is encouraged. Always watch out for Nergigante's roar when enraged. It can perform a deadly aerial dive after a stunning roar, which can leave very little time for evasion. Use the "superman dive" to safely evade Nergigante's aerial dive.

Kushala Daora
Strategy and Tips
Kushala Daora uses the wind to keep hunters away. It has a unique wind aura that staggers melee attackers and deflects projectiles. Staggering from the wind aura and wind attacks can be prevented by using the Windproof armor skill. Earplugs is also a useful skill against Kushala because it roars frequently. It is guaranteed to land a successful attack after a stunning roar. Poisoning, breaking its head, severing its tail, or using weapons with elderseal can also prevent it from using its wind aura. Kushala Daora's skin is also very tough, especially its wings. Focus attacks on its head to briefly stun it. Use the large crystals suspended above an area in Elder's Recess to deal massive damage and briefly stun Kushala Daora. (see Gaijin Hunter's guide on how to use falling rocks).

Teostra
Strategy and Tips
When enraged, Teostra uses a flame aura to continuously damage anyone nearby. Bringing a health booster can be helpful in this situation, especially when playing in a team. The fireproof mantle also helps. Flame aura can deflect bow and bowgun ammo. Aim for the head to avoid deflection. Teostra can also apply the blast status ailment during rage mode. Quickly perform a series of dodges to remove blast status. When exiting rage mode, Teostra will unleash a "supernova" attack, which can deal heavy damage or kill instantly. Immediately use a flash pod when it is about to perform a supernova attack. Mounting makes Teostra exit rage mode, therefore preventing a supernova attack. Breaking its head, severing its tail, or using weapons with elderseal can reduce the frequency of flame aura. Use the large crystals suspended above an area in Elder's Recess to deal massive damage and briefly stun Teostra (see Gaijin Hunter's guide on how to use falling rocks).
Monster Information

Vaal Hazak
Strategy and Tips
Vaal Hazak uses uses a miasma aura that deals continuous damage like Teostra's flame aura. The miasma aura can also have the same effect as the effluvial buildup status which lowers maximum health over time. Use the Effluvia Resistance level 3 armor skill to completely prevent this. If you don't have this armor skill or you want to replace it with another armor skill, bring Nulberries to restore maximum health. Alternatively, you can also use the Health Boost armor skill to increase your maximum health further. Tools such as the health booster and immunity mantle also help deal with effluvial buildup. At a distance, Vaal Hazak can perform a miasma beam attack that can reach long distances. Don't stray too far away. When it transfers to another area, avoid the Rotten Vale's acid pools. Using weapons with elderseal can reduce the frequency of miasma aura. Use the sharp teeth suspended above an area in Rotten Vale to deal massive damage and briefly stun Vaal Hazak. (see Gaijin Hunter's guide on how to use falling rocks).

Kirin
Strategy and Tips
If you want to play safe, you can use ranged weapons against Kirin. It has very tough skin which can cause melee attacks to bounce. Its only weak spot is its head, which can be difficult to target because it moves around quickly and quite a lot. Its thunder attacks can inflict the thunder / thunderblight status which can cause stun. Use the immunity mantle to instantly remove and prevent thunderblight. An enraged lightning attack from a tempered Kirin can kill in one hit. Bring the thunderproof mantle to reduce damage from its lightning attacks. The vitality mantle prevents being killed in one hit.
Monster Information
in-game information: " Kirin are so rarely sighted that little is known of their ecology. It's been said they envelop themselves in pure electricity when they are provoked. The lightning a Kirin cloaks itself with has been confirmed to toughen its skin. The key to hunting a Kirin lies in staggering it, using Elderseal weapons, and protecting yourself from and avoiding its lightning attacks."

Xeno'jiiva
Strategy and Tips
Xeno'jiiva is vulnerable to all elements. Bring elemental weapons to stack damage. It is very large and thick. Pierce bowgun ammo and spread bow attacks are very effective. It moves slowly, but can perform wide range attacks due to its size. It can fly but it's immune to flash pods. You have to use the slinger ammo that is scattered around the area to bring it down. Use poison weapons to quickly reduce its massive health.

Deviljho
Strategy and Tips
Deviljho and is very aggressive and constantly moves around, making it difficult to target weak spots. It uses its great length to perform wide range attacks. It stomps on the ground, causing a tremor effect which staggers hunters. A weapon with counter moves like the long sword and lance can be ideal for hunting Deviljho because it is very aggressive. Weapons with long vertical reach such as the switchaxe and long sword can reach its chest belly area weak spot when positioned underneath it. Deviljho unleashes a wide range "dragon breath" attack which can cause the dragonblight status ailment, increasing damage received. To counter this, you can use a Nulberry, immunity mantle, vitality mantle, and dragonproof mantle. Be careful when using a pitfall trap against Deviljho. It can still attack at the front while in a pitfall trap. Deviljho can put another smaller monster in its mouth and use it as a weapon and a projectile. This attack can deal massive damage. Use a flash pod to release the smaller monster from Deviljho's mouth. Focus attacks on its legs to make it fall down. Compared to the majority of other monsters, Deviljho has a lot of health. Use poison weapons to quickly reduce its health. Mounting also helps reduce its aggressive behavior and open up attack opportunities. Unlike in previous games, Deviljho doesn't easily consume meat traps. (See this guide on how to use meat traps: https://twinfinite.net/2018/01/monster-hunter-world-bait-how-use/ )

Kulve Taroth
Strategy and Tips
Kulve Taroth is a unique elder dragon introduced in Monster Hunter World. To defeat it and get the best rewards, a group of parties must continuously investigate, gather tracks, and successfully accomplish hunts to break its horn and increase investigation level. The higher the investigation level, the better the rewards. Gather as many hunters as possible for quick, successful hunts and increase the investigation level. Use falling rocks and elevated areas (for mounting) against Kulve Taroth. For faster investigation, use the scholar and scenthound armor skills. Part breaker is also useful, since you will need to break its horns. Kulve Taroth uses its gold covering to change its elemental resistances, but water and dragon element will always be effective. Since the Kulve Taroth hunt is intended for multiplayer, it is best to bring support items and tools such as lifepowder, health booster, and affinity booster.
