Naruto has many fantastic fight sequences, but it is the jutsu used throughout the Naruto universe that actually makes these fights unforgettable. Let's get started with the Top 25 Most Powerful Naruto Attacks. (Warning: this list contains spoilers if you haven't finished watching Naruto.)
25. Black Sand Jutsu
The Third Kazekage invented this jutsu by combining his magnetic release abilities with iron powder to generate the black sand. As a result, the third Kazekage was regarded as the most powerful in Kazekage history. Unfortunately, he was assassinated by Sasori of the Akatsuki, who then used his body as a human puppet.
Sasori was first seen utilizing black sand in his fight with Granny Chico and Sakura. Because he was exploiting the Kazekage's body, he was able to use his jutsu. He was able to manufacture a variety of lethal weaponry out of the black sand, ranging from bullet-like particles to massive structures that would attack on his command.
It doesn't help that Sasori tainted the Iron Sand with a lethal poison; if Sakura hadn't been studying under the fifth Hokage, she wouldn't have been able to develop an antidote to save them.
24 Reaper Death Seal Jutsu
Reaper Death Seal Jutsu is an extremely efficient sealing jutsu that takes the caster's life. The caster calls the God of Death to steal another person's soul. The Uzumaki clan created this secret jutsu.
When the Third Hokage Sarutobi tried to seal away Orochimaru, he was only able to lock away his arms due to his lack of power. Later, we witness Minato, the Fourth Hokage, utilize this on the nine-tailed fox to lock away half of his chakra (do you have any idea how powerful you have to be to achieve that?). Unfortunately, both Hokage were killed by the Reaper Death Seal Jutsu.
23. Earth Grudge Fear Jutsu
The Earth Grudge Fear is a hidden jutsu that transforms the body and holds it together with thick black threads. It may be used to stitch up the user's wounds as well as tear through another person's body and steal their organs. The user's life can be extended by using stolen organs.
In his encounter with Team 10 and Kakashi, Kakuzu used the jutsu. What made this jutsu so lethal was that Kakuzu had five hearts, four of which he had stolen, and he could use his threads to create a body at any time and place one of the hearts inside to battle with. To kill Kakuzu, all five of his hearts must be stopped.
This practicality made him immortal, but thanks to the No. 1 Hyperactive, Knucklehead Ninja Naruto, Kakuzu was taken down.
22 Kirin Jutsu
Kirin is Sasuke's extremely powerful Lightning Release attack. To build the attack, he uses or creates thunder clouds. That may take some time, but once in place, he has no trouble controlling the lightning.
During their fight at the Uchiha hideaway, Sasuke uses Kirin against his brother Itachi. It was the last attack Sasuke had saved particularly for Itachi. As a result, a mountain was destroyed and Itachi was on the verge of death.
There isn't much a person can do to hide from such an attack because of its sheer magnitude. This is obviously a jutsu to avoid since, let's be honest, when was the last time you dodged some lighting?
21.Gedo Art Rinne Rebirth Jutsu
Gedo Art Rinne Rebirth is a reincarnation jutsu that is used to resurrect the souls of the dead. To utilize this, you must first have the Rinnengan, and it does consume a lot of chakra. When the caster is completed, they become extremely weak and die quickly after.
Nagato was able to use the Gedo Art Rinne Rebirth to resurrect all of the people who had died in the attack on the village. I only want to point out that the same person who destroyed the Hidden Leaf is the same one who resurrected everyone. He did this after Naruto defeated him, talk about having a change of heart.
20. Flying Raijin Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique)
Tobirama Senju, the second Hokage, created the Flying Raijin. It allows the individual to place a mark on any object, surface, or person that they wish to transport to at any moment. So, no matter where a person or object existed in the world, the user can instantaneously teleport to that area if they were tagged.
The mark cannot be removed, and there are no restrictions on how many targets can be tagged. Minato, the Fourth Hokage, later learnt and mastered the jutsu. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Minato was reanimated (more on this later). He was able to effectively use the Flying Raijin to get near enough to assault Obito since Minato had left a mark on him ten years before.
However, as Obito transforms into the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, the mark vanishes. (First time in history) I guess you could say that because Obito "changed," he was technically a different person that Minato hadn't touched yet, so the old mark was null and void.
19. Dust Release Jutsu (Particle style)
Particle style jutsu is uncommon since it is regarded as a Kekkei Tota (higher level than Kekkei Genkai); the user creates 3D shapes with their hands using chakra. Believe me when I say you don't want that beam to even have slight contact with you , because anything it touches is demolished on a molecular level.
The only known users of this jutsu are the second and third Tsuchikage (the second passed down the knowledge to the third). In the Fourth Great Ninja War, we witness them both using this against each other. Which makes sense because there aren't many attacks that can nullify that.
The technique is undeniably powerful, but it takes some time to charge up the particle style. To use it, you must have a large supply of chakra.
18. Space-Time Jutsu (Amenominaka)
The Space-Time Jutsu was used by Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, who is presently the only person in the Naruto universe who possesses such a power. Anyone in her close area is instantaneously transferred to one of her own dimensions once she activates it. Did I mention she has six of them?
Our first peek at Kaguya's dimensions occurs at the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War. She transports Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and Obito to her lava-based world (the floor of which is lava in real life), after which they travel to her icy winter wonderland (not so wonderful). The major issue with this jutsu is that she can leave you in one of her dimensions with no way out.
The dimension that is a sea of acid, on the other hand, is hands down the scariest one in my opinion. That one is impossible to survive.
17. Amaterasu
Amaterasu is a fire that appears as black flames; only members of the Uchiha clan who have unlocked the Mangekyo Sharingan visual jutsu can utilize it. This unique flame is controlled by the user and will not cease until the target is completely scorched. This attack is seen being utilized a few times both by Itachi and Sasuke.
What's great about it is that we can see it applied both offensively and defensively. Sasuke used the flames to create a barrier around his fight with Itachi, preventing anyone from entering or leaving the area. In another scenario, Itachi uses Amaterasu to burn the Reanimated (there's that jutsu again) Nagato's summoning.
These flames are claimed to be as hot as the sun, with temperatures reaching over 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Forget about the flames touching you; how can you stand near it without getting burned?
16 Kamui
Kamui is a jutsu that deals with space-time and may be accessed by Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan. Because one of Obito's eyes was implanted with Kakashi for the majority of the story, we now see Kamui's two powers independently.
Kakashi Kamui has the ability to pull any object into the Kamui time space and make it disappear. He uses this during the fight with Akatsuki's Deidara. He tries to drag Deidara into the Kamui time-space, but only manages to blow off his right arm.
The second half of Kamui is seen when Tobi (really Obito) fights against the Hidden Leaf's eight-man squad. His Kamui allows him to phase any part of his body into the Kamui time space. So when he is struck, it appears that the hit just passes right through him, having no effect on him.
When Obito's two Mangekyo Sharingan eyes function together, he can transport himself and others into the Kamui time space faster than one eye can. When utilizing the left eye, the attack can be performed from a distance, but when using the right eye, the user must make contact with the object.
15. Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence Jutsu
The first Hokage, Hashirama Senju, created the Deep Forest Emergence jutsu using his wood release Kekkei Genkai. It's a powerful jutsu that can build an entire forest in seconds, so you'll be dead by the time you see those massive tree trunks coming your way. According to legend, Hashirama used this jutsu to build the groundwork for the Village Hidden in the Leaves.
He was the only known live user of the original wood style. Years later, however, Madara Uchiha was able to merge Hashirmama's cells with his own, providing him access to wood-style Jutsu. When reanimated Madara first arrives on the battlefield during the fourth great ninja war (I know, I know, practically everything seems to happen during that war), he is able to use wood-style.
It is worth noting that, along with Hashirama, Madara Uchiha was regarded as one of the greatest shinobi of all time. So, imagine you're a rookie ninja, and your first task as a member of the Allied Shinobi Forces is to be on the frontlines, and you arrive to find a reanimated (they have unlimited chakra, btw) Madara floating in the sky laughing; that will be the worst and most likely last day of your life, I guarantee it.
14. Shadow Clone Jutsu
The Shadow Clone Jutsu was invented by the second Hokage. These clones are physically genuine and have the same outfits, abilities, and weaponry as the user. The most difficult element is that you can't identify a shadow clone from a real person.
Early in the Naruto series, he steals a scroll with the instructions for the jutsu and teaches himself. This is astounding given that Naruto was only a Genin-level ninja when he gained what is considered a Jonin-level skill. Naruto utilizes his shadow clones wherever possible, from assisting him with training (each clone trains, and Naruto obtains the collective experience) to assisting him with some of his most powerful techniques, such as the Rasengan.
13 Planetary devastation (Chibaku Tensei)
Chibaku Tensei is a powerful sealing jutsu. Users start with a small black gravity ball and launch it into the sky. Once there, it draws everything in its path into it, forming a massive black sphere.
The size, however, is determined by the caster, and the larger they are, the more chakra is required to support them. This attack can only be used by someone who has the Rinnegan.
During Pain's destruction of the Hidden Leaf, he uses the planetary devastation attack on Naruto in his Nine-Tails cloak form.
Pain attempts to trap Naruto in the sphere, but Naruto appears with eight of the nine tails formed. It's worth noting that Naruto is the only person known to have escaped a Chibaku Tensei attack. Unfortunately, anyone other than Naruto who has encountered this is likely still buried beneath the rubble.
12. Sage Art Wood Release: True Thousand Hands Jutsu
Another Hashirama Senju creation. The Sage Art Wood Release: True Thousand Hands Jutsu summons a giant wood statue beast. That has a dragon on the front as well, which can be duplicated for a more powerful attacking attack.
The wood beast first appears in a flashback battle with Hashirmama and Madara. Marara was wearing his fully armored Susano at the time, but he was still defeated by Hashirmama. Which is understandable; after all, look at the size of it, and do you realize how much chakra is continually being used to keep up with a jutsu like that?
As a result, we've only ever seen Hashirmama construct one of this size and stature. What would your defensive strategy be, given that you're going to be squished like a bug by one of those hands?
11 Limbo Jutsu
Due to his Rinnegan eyes, Madara Uchiha is the only one capable of using the Jutsu of Limbo: Border Jail. It enables him to generate limbo shadows of himself. It's odd since limbo coexists with the real world (similar to how the upside-down appears in Netflix's Stranger Things), but only Madara can see or detect these shadows. Physical attacks have no effect on the shadows.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Madara unleashed his limbo jutsu on Naruto and Sasuke after fully regaining his Rinnegan eyes. Now, Sasuke could see the shadows because he has his own Rinnegan eye; Naruto, on the other hand, couldn't see them but could sense them when he was in his Six-Paths Sage mode, and the only method to battle them was with senjutsu. Fighting Madara when this jutsu is active is insane because you're fighting something you can't see, touch, or hear.
10 Shinra Tensei (Almighty push)
Shinra Tensei is a visual jutsu skill that can create a repelling force that pushes anything in its path away. The strength of the almighty push will be determined by how much chakra is expended. As a result of expending so much energy, the user may be at a disadvantage.
The first time we encounter this jutsu is when Pain (Nagato) arrives at Konoha looking for Naruto. Once he discovers his location, Pain informs the Hidden Leaf that they will know pain before obliterating the entire village from the inside out. There was nothing anyone could do to stop it; the village was in ruins, and many were killed in the single attack.
9 Tailed Beast Bomb
The Tailed Beast Bomb is a tailed beast's most powerful attack, which Naruto may also perform while in tailed beast form. The bombs are extremely heavy and are composed of positive and negative chakra. Despite their weight, these things fly miles in seconds and cause extensive destruction, so not being on the receiving end would be great.
The "Tailed Beast Bomb" has been seen throughout Naruto. One of the most unforgettable moments was when Naruto performed his first tailed beast transformation alongside Kurama (the nine tails). They were up against six other tailed beasts (talk about being outnumbered!).
The six combined their abilities to create one massive Tailed Beast Bomb that was coming straight for Naruto. What did he do? He created his own Tailed Beast Bomb of identical size and targeted it lower than theirs so that when they collided, the bombs would explode in the air.
Naruto is no longer the same knucklehead ninja he once was.
8. Tengai shinsei
The Tengai Shinsei enables the user to draw huge meteors into the atmosphere and launch them towards their target. How can you possibly survive such an attack? You simply cannot.
Madara decided to send one of them into the Allied Shinobi Forces' Fourth Division. Gaara and Onoki were successful in stopping the mentor, but Madara inquired as to how they planned to stop the second one. The second meteor collided with the first, obliterating more than half of the fourth division(looks like a bad day to be a ninja).
Madara was also aware that his body would be annihilated by the meteor, but because he had been reanimated, he knew his body would regenerate, therefore he actually did it to eliminate a large number of foes at once.
7. Scorch Release: Halo Hurricane Jet Black Arrow Style Zero Jutsu
Scorch release halo hurricane black arrow style zero is a fusion of Naruto's Wind Release Rasenshuriken and Sasuke Uchiha's Blaze Release: Kagutsuchi. For some reason, Jutsu's wind-to-flame ratio is perfectly matched, so when it reaches the target, they are engulfed in black flames and surrounded by cutting wind.
Naruto and Sasuke created this attack during the fourth Great Ninja War to eliminate the armies formed by the Ten Tails. Now, I'm not sure if they did that on purpose, because their attacks happened to combine mid-air while heading towards the enemy. What's amusing is that Naruto's father, Minato, names the attack on the spot, though he admits it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.
6 Susanoo
Susanoo is a gigantic, humanoid avatar generated with the user's chakra that protects and battles for them. This power is exclusively available to Uchiha members who have awakened their Mangekyo Sharingan in both eyes. We've seen a lot of Susanoo throughout Naruto, but one of the best is Hagoromo Otsutsuki.
Once Hagoromo unlocked his Mangekyo, he was able to instantly create Susanoo's entire body (amour and all). In a flashback, we witness Hagoromo and his brother Hamura fighting to the death with their mother Kaguya. It wasn't your typical combat; this was them vs. Ten-Tails Kaguya, the fight lasted months, and they demolished the countryside surrounding them.
The majority of the Susanoo we see in the show are either not fully armored (with the exception of Itachi) or are nowhere as powerful as Hagoromo's Susanoo.
5 Reanimation (Edo Tensei)
The Reanimation jutsu is the true source of all the problems. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kabuto performed this Jutsu to assist his side gain an advantage. It grants him the ability to resurrect the dead under his command, but it demands a real-life body sacrifice first.
So for every reanimated body in the battle, Kabuto either killed someone or dug up a corpse. Originally created by the Second Hokage Tobirama, which brings into question, what was he doing bringing back dead people in the first place? Kabuto was able to reanimate some of the most powerful and lethal shinobi in ninja history for this war.
Without Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha, the war would have ended differently.
4 Night Guy
This forbidden jutsu is the strongest taijutsu move in the Naruto universe. It can only be obtained if all eight gates have been opened. Might Guy from the Village Hidden in the Leaves is the only person we see use this jutsu.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Might Guy realized it was time to use this final attack against Madara Uchiha. The eighth gate, commonly known as the "Gate of Death," permits the person to exceed all physical limitations, granting superhuman speed and strength 100 times the ordinary. When the move is unleashed, a red flow of chakra can be seen all around Guy, followed by a kick with enough force to obliterate the opponent's body and send a shockwave for miles.
He was almost able to kill Madara, but the attack pushes the body beyond its limits, breaking every bone and turning the body into ash resulting in death.
3. Six Paths Big Ball Rasenshuriken
Rasenshuriken six-path big ball, was by far one of the show's most powerful assaults. If you've seen what the standard Rasenshuriken could do, now add a splash of Sage of the Six Paths mode, along with a fully transformed Kurama and some Kurama Shadow clones (we discussed them earlier #14), and you'll see some of the show's most promising action.
The war is done, but Naruto and Sasuke must have one final fight to put everything on the line. Sasuke prepares to unleash his most powerful weapon, Indra's Arrow, against Naruto's combined attack of six paths big ball Rasenshuriken (left hand), and a tailed beast ball Rasenshuriken (right hand) . The end result is a tremendous blast of energy that leaves the two with little to no chakra, but they continue to fight using hand to hand combat.
2 Six Paths Planetary Devastation ( Six Paths Chibaku Tensei)
We discussed Chibaku Tensei earlier; however, the Six Paths Chibaku Tensei is on a different level. This is the most powerful sealing jutsu in the Naruto universe. Only those who have obtained the sage of the six paths power will be able to use it.
This incredible sealing jutsu was first used by Hagoromo and his brother Hamura. They were able to seal their mother, Kaguya Otsutsuki, who was at the time attempting to take chakra from the world. Toward the end of the story, both Naruto and Sasuke obtain the power of the six paths from Hagoromo himself.
They use this jutsu together to seal Kagura away once more (I suppose she didn't learn it the first time). According to legend, the Six Path Chibaku Tensei is responsible for the formation of the moon in Naruto's universe.
1 Infinite Tsukuyomi
The Infinite Tsukuyomi is a tremendously powerful genjutsu that traps the entire world into an illusion, putting everyone in a dream so that their chakra and lifeforce can be sucked out of them. A jutsu of this magnitude must be reflected off of the moon in order for it to work. When the Infinite Tsukuyomi is awakened, a dazzling blinding light beams all over the world, capturing everyone beneath the genjutsu.
The Rinnegan is placed over their eyes to indicate that they are under the influence. Kaguya and Mardara were the only two people who used this jutsu (well, Mardara was tricked by black Zetsu for Kaguya). For the first occasion, both of Kaguya's sons were able to stop and imprison her.
The second time, Mardara transformed into the ten-tailed Jinchuriki and cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi, after which Kaguya took over his body. Because of Sasuke's fully armored Susanoo, Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi were shielded from the jutsu.
While the war for survival was going on, everyone else was dreaming. Without Sasuke and Naruto, the world would have become slaves as a result of Kaguya Otsutsuki's Infinite Tsukuyomi.
