10. Volume Shooter
Shooting up a lot of shots usually gets repetitive and over time your player slows down cause he gets tired. This badge tries to avoid that however as it rewards you for chucking up as many shots as you can whenever you get the ball.
Why Volume Shooter Is Great:
- A badge for the players who like taking every open shot that comes their way
- Getting tired doesn't really affect you shooting negatively with this badge
- Best way to get gaudy point stats.
Volume Shooter full details:
- Take 35 shots or more 8 times in a single season
9. Drop-Stepper
While there are a few moves you can go for in the post the most effective one( in my opinion), is the drop step. Drop Steps are Simple Space Carving moves meant to get you into the lane with easy dunks and layups. Post Spin moves also work well, and getting to a post hook is also probably more consistent, but I think Drop Steps are the easiest to pull off and when effective are always clean layups and dunks.
Why Drop-Stepper Is Great:
- Carve out space in the paint super easily
- Super advantageous with tall and strong builds
- Dunks and layups are always consistently going in
Drop-Stepper full details:
- Drop step out of the post 30 times in a single season
8. Limitless Range
Nothing encapsulates the strengths of a guy with a limitless range like draining a green from near halfcourt. The limitless range allows you to take shots from way deep, literal feet away from the 3-point line.
Why Limitless Range Is Great:
- Score effectively from the 3-point line
- Defenders have a longer close-out if you do get open from deep
- The extra defense near the perimeter stretches the defense out for easier passes
Limitless Range full details:
- Make 40 threes outside of 25 feet from the basket in a single season
- Must shoot 30% or higher in those last 30 long-distance makes
7. Shot Creator
Shot Creator is the ultimate Iso scorer badge. When your offense becomes stagnant and you need a bucket this badge is necessary. This badge allows the tough self-created shots you take to go in at a way higher clip.
Why Shot Creator Is Great:
- Makes tough midrange shots go in with a lot more ease
- The badge also has some effect on the 3-point line
- Works well when paired with the dribbling badges
- Shot off the post also become a lot more effective
Shot Creator full details:
- Take 150 of the following moving shots in a single season -> Pullups, Spin Shots, Hop Step Jumpers (which include stepback jumpers)
6. Dimer
Getting your teammates involved always makes you a great player. Dimer allows you to toss up easy shots to the people around you.
Why Dimer Is Great:
- Opens up your game so that your mark cant guard you as tightly
- Throw up lobs and inside passes for an easy 2
- Kick outs to the perimeter for open threes and jumpers made easier
Dimer full details:
- Get 200 assists within the last 25 games played
- Unlike 2K15, however, you do not need to play 25 games before it unlocks
5. Deadeye
Defenders are gonna have a hard time stopping you with his badge. Deadeye has become a staple for players who wanna take jumpers unbothered by defenders. It takes a real persistent defender to get even a decent contest if you have this badge.
Why Deadeye Is Great:
- Late defenders have no effect on your shot
- This badge pairs well with the space-creating badges for unguardable shots
- Gets you open inside as well with how easy it is to get defenders to bite for pump fakes.
Deadeye full details:
- Make 60 contested jumpers from 15 feet or further in a single season
4. Pick Pocket
Steals are some of the best defensive stops in the game as they trigger the quickest fastbreaks and generate the best points. Pickpocket is the best steal badge in my opinion, as you don't need to camp passing lanes and can time your steals with dribbling instead.
Why Pick Pocket Is Great:
- Counters almost every single dribbling drill imaginable
- Steals from dribbling almost always single unguarded solo fastbreaks
- Perfect for 1-on-1 defense
Pick Pocket full details:
- Get 50 “poke ball loose” teammate grade events in a single season
3. Unfazed
This 2K’s iteration of Antifreeze. This badge is all about being unstoppable defending this guy from shooting is almost impossible. Scoring from 3 or from midrange is easy with how this build is unaffected by defenders unless they are somehow able to stick to this guy.
Why Unfazed Is Great:
- Late defenders have no effect on your shoot
- This badge paired with other space-creating moves is almost unstoppable
- Shooting is pretty much unguardable
Unfazed full details:
- Get “Hot” for 4 straight gameplay minutes, 3 different times
- Must happen within the last 15 games
2. Relentless Finisher
The top badge for scoring inside the paint. Whether it’s off a post-up, off a drive, or off some cutting action, this badge will help you score no matter the kind of defender you have to get through in the paint.
Why Relentless Finisher Is Great:
- Driving in for layups and dunks become way more effective
- Opponents' contests become a lot more ineffective
- Useful for all positions in 2k that want to score inside somewhat
- Shots always have a chance of going in unless it’s actually blocked
Relentless Finisher full details:
- Attempt 75 contact layups in a single season
- Strength attributes must be
- PG: 45
- SG: 50
- SF: 65
- PF/C: 75
1. Perimeter Lockdown Defender
The best skill in the game is still defense. Perimeter Lockdown allows you to clamp down and slow down the other team’s best player who is vital to winning any game. If the other team can’t score cause their best player can’t score then that simply means you’re winning
Why Perimeter Lockdown Defender Is Great:
- Shuts down the opposing team’s best player
- One on one nightmare for opponents
- Steals and contests come way easier
Perimeter Lockdown Defender full details:
- Raise Defense discipline to level 16
- You must play 30 games before earning
