[Top 5] Path of Exile Best Juggernaut Builds That Wreck Hard!
While the Juggernaut hasn’t received any direct changes in Patch 3.17 Archnemesis League, the introduction to Forbidden Jewels, Eldritch Influenced Mods, and several Build Defining Uniques, brought to light new builds and older ones only got enhanced by it. And here are some of the best Juggernaut Builds in Patch 3.17!
5 – Hybrid’s Molten Strike
Molten Strike against The Maven
Though not the first time this build shows up in my reviews, it has its place for a reason. 3.17 only made it stronger and easier to get into, making it shine further and demolish the content!
What Hybrid’s Molten Strike Jugg Excels in:
- Ridiculously Tanky
- Can facetank most content through Life-gain on hit
- Right-click bosses away without having to even dodge abilities (like Sirus Meteor!)
- Respectable single-target damage
Hybrid’s Molten Strike Jugg full details:
- Molten Strike is a skill that scales wonderfully with Point Blank and extra projectiles. As such, we use 2 Grelwood Shank, which gives +4 projectiles, as well as boosting our armor by 160% while stationary (which we always are when attacking), as well as taking advantage of Nature’s Patience, which adds 2 Grasping Vines each second we’re stationary, in return for 20% chance to deal double damage and 10% Less Damage Taken. And with the introduction of Eldritch Influenced Mods, we can now easily get +1 Strike Targets, which is massive for clearing the whole screen!
- We circumvent the slow effect of the vines by using the Unstoppable Ascendancy node, making us have a guaranteed 100% movement (base value of every character). Combining the 10% Less Damage with lots of Max % Elemental Resistance, Armor, and several Endurance Charges, we’re a veritable fortress on top of our already substantial HP.
- We also use Divine Flesh, to half the elemental damage we take and by making it become Chaos damage, which then is easily mitigated as we can increase our chaos resistance to 85 easily, with strong shield mods and certain passives through Glorious Vanity Timeless Jewel.

4 – Mega CHONK Righteous Fire
Celestial Righteous Fire MTX against The Hydra
Righteous Fire gained a strong ally in 3.17, in the shape of Legacy of Fury unique Maven Boots, which make the clearing for RF delightful and almost Legacy-Explody Chest-like. Along with the introduction of Blessings, we now can make use of a “free” Aura that costs us nothing but a single click every 15 seconds or so!!
What the Megachonk RF Jugg Excels in:
- Safe Bossing
- Insanely Tanky
- Can clear quite quickly with Maven Boots
- League Starter, HC, SSF Viable
Megachonk RF Jugg full details:
- RF works by dealing damage based on our ES and Life pool. So we scale as much HP as possible to increase the base value, which in turn gets increased by our supports. Our aim is to use a Pseudo 6/7-Link helmet, with Concentrated AoE, Burning Damage, and a 30% more elemental multiplier from Essence of Horror. Which is absurdly expensive to craft, but it’s BiS.
- Our defenses come from Brass Dome, which grants us a whopping 5% max all res, scaling max res in the passive tree as well as using a Saffel’s for another +4%, to reach 88% max fire res and 87% cold and lightning resistance.
- As a secondary and tertiary source of damage, if you’re okay with multiple skill usages, you can use Scorching Ray and the newly massively buffed Fire Trap, the skill with the highest base damage over time in the game right now, with 4k base dot damage. Legacy of Fury also ups our clearing speed massively as well as our single Target, at it enhances Scorch’s effect and makes everything around us Scorched, and thus, explode!

3 – Hollow Vaal Ground Slam Railgun

Together with all the changes in Patch 3.17, came a new Keystone, called Precise Technique, which was meant to be an alternative for attack builds that can’t reach Elemental Overload. But this in actuality, became a straight-up buff for any Hollow Palm Technique Builds, at the barely non-existent cost of having your Accuracy Rating be higher than your total life values!
What the Hollow Vaal Ground Slam Railgun Excels in:
- Surprisingly tanky, despite not being able to equip 3 slots
- Insane amounts of damage
- Got massively buffed in 3.17
- Super cheap to start and can scale to over 15 million DPS with ease
Hollow Vaal Ground Slam Railgun full details:
- As a Hollow Palm build, we scale our damage through stacking Dexterity in our gear. There’s some great uniques that can make it so you level up quickly and go into the endgame with nary an issue, like Astramentis. As a ‘cheaper’ boot choice of Gharukan, for easily over 300 flat Life, and getting a strong % attributes chest piece, you can get to easily over 1200 Dex.
- Now in 3.17, GGG introduced the Precise Technique, which gives 40% more attack damage if your accuracy rating is higher than your life, and as we scale dex, our accuracy will easily be higher than our life at all times, and with just a few % Accuracy nodes on the passive tree guarantees it.
- The gameplay can be button intensive, but you’ll get used to it after a bit, and you’ll do things through muscle memory and won’t even notice. Drop totems, Molten Shell, Dread Banner, Vaal Ground Slam, and then hit Ground Slam until everything dies.

2 – Earthquake Bleed
Earthquake against The Strand Bosses
One of the core concepts of Juggernauts is how massively tanky they are, and pairing that with a build that can whittle down a boss with bleeds makes it for a comfortable bossing character and a surprisingly enjoyable playstyle with Vaal Earthquake!
What the Earthquake Bleed Excels in:
- Extremely cheap
- Can do all content with proper investment
- League Start, HC, SSF viable
- Insanely Tanky
- Respectable damage and clearing
Earthquake full details:
- Earthquake, when paired with Less Duration, will shorten the delay it takes for the ground explosion to occur, and as a side benefit of that, it shortens the already brief Soul Gain Prevention, allowing you to essentially use it at will!
- Our tankiness comes from having a substantial life pool, over 20k Armor and 7 Endurance Charges. This, combined with Molten Shell will make us for a veritable fortress at a very low cost!
- You’ll want an Axe with as high physical damage as possible, aiming for at least 700 pDPS, but don’t get fooled by weapons with tons of Attack Speed! Bleed only cares about the hit, so make sure you have a Two-Handed Axe with as much flat damage as possible, and hopefully with some room for Physical DoT Multiplier to further enhance your damage!

1 - IMMORTAL Transcendence Shield Crush
Shield Crush against The Maven
Well, the title says it all. This build is truly immortal. It can tank anything and everything. Shaper and Uber Elder slams, Maven Brain Bomb, Sirus Meteor… you name it, it can survive under proper circumstances!
What the IMMORTAL Transcendence Shield Crush Excels in:
- Veritably immortal!
- Great single target damage, capable of reaching 8 to 10 million Sirus DPS
- Can do all content
- Respectable Clearing with Asenath’s Chant Gloves for the Explosions
IMMORTAL Transcendence full details:
- Transcendence, the Keystone that comes from the Militant Faith Timeless Jewel, when you’re using High Templar Maxarius, makes it so Armour Applies to Fire, Cold, and Lightning Hit damage instead of Physical, and you lose 15% of Maximum Resistance. We circumvent the reduction by simply using Loreweave, a unique Body Armour that locks our Maximum Resist to 78%.
- We also scale our armor to insane levels, easily getting over 330k Armor through some clever mechanics with Iron Reflexes, Grace and Determination, good flasks, a ton of Armor on gear, and since we’ll be scaling so much of it, we can use Replica Dreamfeather, which boosts our attack damage at a 1% per 450. So if you have 450,000 Armor (which is more than possible to achieve), you’ll have 1000% Increased Damage!!!
- And to make things work even better, we use our Shields to deal damage based on how much Armour, Evasion, or Energy Shield it has! So the tankier we are, the more damage we can deal! And with the new Unique Ashes of the Star, our Divergent Shield Crush gets a massive 50% Multi per 100 ES on the shield, making it easy to scale Critical Strike Multiplier and reaching over 550% Multi!
