[Top 5] Rainbow 6 Siege Best Kapkan Loadouts

Rainbow Six Siege Kapkan Loadouts

Kapkan has been in Siege since year 1, and throughout the years continued to be one of the player favorites, in ranked or in casual games. Even level 300 and above veteran players still get victimized by his EDDs when placed in unexpected places, and angles that are hard to see from the attackers’ viewpoint. And the more experienced the players are, the more they have the tendency to be reckless. That is when Kapkan’s traps shine the most. When attackers are rushing. But even when none of his traps are triggered, this operative from Spetsnaz is still a force to be reckoned with because of his loadouts.

C4 under the floor. Classic.

The recoil pattern of the 9x19VSN doesn’t go on a straight line, but with a compensator and a vertical grip, it can be very easy to control. And with the recoil stabilized while firing, the 1.5x scope offers deadly accuracy from any range. This loadout is best used when most of the surface area around your objective area is made up of wood, e.g., the 2nd floor on the Oregon map.

Place a c4 at the start of the round under the floor of the pathway where you’re expecting enemies to come. Like in the 2nd floor of Oregon, where they’re most likely to come through the terrace. Place your EDDs on the door from the terrace. Once you hear of it being triggered, follow up by detonating your c4, because you’d know that the enemy would most likely be there.

Excels in:

  • Any range
  • Anchoring

Being true to Kapkan’s nature as a hunter

Reaction time in Siege is a very big factor in winning games. Take that away and you can kill even the most experienced players. Attaching a suppressor to your gun is a great way to do that, because it removes that white thing on the screen which indicates where the shots are coming from. Without it, the enemies wouldn’t know where the shots are coming from, especially from long range.

With that in mind, this loadout can be effectively used for roaming, just try to keep your distance from the enemies so that you can keep using its advantages- the silent gunshots and the lack of directional threat indicator. Always reserve at least one impact grenade. You’ll need it when the enemies come at you with numbers and you need to escape through a wall or a hatch.

Excels in:

  • Roaming
  • Medium to long range
  • Stealth

The millisecond difference between hip fire and aim-down-sight (ads) position often makes the difference between killing and getting killed

As was mentioned above, the 9x19VSN is not the easiest gun to control in Siege, but it’s not the worst either. It’s relatively stable, but removing the vertical grip in favor of the speedier angled grip which allows you to ADS faster, is a bit risky, and that is why this loadout balances it out with the compensator.  With the angled grip, even when you’re roaming and suddenly encounter enemies from close to medium range, you’d be able to keep firing at them with good recoil control because of the compensator.

Excels in:

  • Close to medium range
  • Flick shots

C4 under the floor strat is already troublesome. Now add a shotgun to that and you’ll effectively discourage your enemies from pushing.

I mentioned in my Finka article that her shotgun is one of the best shotguns in the game. In fact, I like it even more than the player-favorite M870 of the German operators. This is the same shotgun. Only Finka and Kapkan can use it. Interesting that in their bio, they got into a scrap where they inflicted injuries to one another in a training exercise. Anyway, I digress, this shotgun, is one of the best shotguns in Siege because it has a good recoil control, even without Finka’s adrenaline rush, and it does damage to a wide surface area, making it perfect for roaming and harassing attackers from under the floor, and making quick work of them with your angled grip aided flick shots when they do come from you.

Excels in:

  • Roaming
  • Flick shots
  • Close Range

1. 9x19VSN with 1.5x Scope, Flash Hider, and Angled Grip + PMM with Suppressor + Impact Grenades

Works best with a lot of coffee really

The flash hider is great for recoil control during the first few shots, but after that, the gun will feel rougher, as opposed to using a compensator which will provide a more stable recoil control for sustained gunfire. But when partnered with an angled grip, you are aiming for those first few shots to count, and you better aim for the head. This loadout is recommended for more experienced players who are used to recoil control and cursor placement. Because you will be sacrificing recoil control over speed with this one. But if you play to its strengths well, you’ll understand why it’s #1.

This is great for roaming because of the quick switch to ads provided by the angled grip, and therefore also great for anchoring when the opponents are coming in close to the objective area.

Excels in:

  • Close to medium range
  • Flick shots
