Peter Walken
Explore the Fate of the Sewer Gators Host
Peter Walken is the host of the Sewer Gators that went missing along with his 2 fellow crew members. The group visited the Baker Farm in Dulvey, Louisiana, under the pretense that it was an abandoned haunted house.
He formerly worked as a weekend substitute news anchor before being replaced. During the “Derelict House Footage” videotape, he is heard complaining about their new cameraman and stating that he only works with professionals, hinting at his egotistical attitude.
After the producer, Andre, disappears in the Guest House, Peter starts to panic. He instructs the cameraman to stay with him so that they could find Andre and flee in terror. I can’t say I blame him! Unfortunately, they find Andre’s body along with the farm’s angry residents.

Mia Winters
Mia's Final Message to Ethan
Mia Winters is the missing wife of Ethan Winters. She claimed to be completing a babysitting job aboard a ship. After a hurricane had ravaged the area, there was no sign of Mia or the ship. Mia was presumed dead until she contacted Ethan 3 years later.
As it turns out, Mia didn’t write the email to Ethan. Rather, a sinister force manipulated her. But Mia has dark secrets of her own. The real reason for her presence on the ship was due to orders sent out by her bosses at “The Connections.” The Connections are a crime syndicate that specializes in biochemical research.
Mia was assigned to help transport a human bioweapon to a safe laboratory. During the hurricane, the bioweapon became unstable. The ship was wrecked near a Louisiana bayou next to the Baker Farm. Jack and Lucas Baker discovered Mia and the bioweapon.
Mia’s Role in RE7
- Her actions prior to the in-game events play a significant role in causing the events.
- Her husband, Ethan, heads to Louisiana after receiving an email from Mia’s account, setting the game’s story in motion.

Zoe Baker
The Story Behind the Mysterious Zoe Baker
Zoe starts out as an unknown character that tries to help Ethan escape through a series of phone calls. We later learn that she is the daughter of Jack and Marguerite Baker.
After her family rescued the bioweapon, Zoe witnesses her family acting crazy. They were rambling on about a gift and trying to harm each other. She flees from her family, escaping into a camper trailer she parked in the yard.
Upon entering the trailer, she sees Mia lying on the floor and a letter nearby. The letter details the bioweapon and the infection symptoms, including that the bioweapon can control the minds of infected people. Since Zoe discovered the information, the bioweapon couldn’t control her mind despite infecting her.
Unable to leave, Zoe spends the next 3 years surviving the nightmarish and brutal conditions. With Ethan’s arrival, she hopes that he will be strong enough to help cure her. After having his hand cut off, Zoe re-attaches Ethan’s hand while telling him that he has work to do.
In the end, Ethan has only one serum left and was forced to choose between curing Mia or Zoe. Ethan chooses his wife but promises Zoe that he will send help. The bioweapon punishes Zoe’s disobedience by attempting to calcify her in white mold. Luckily for Zoe, Ethan keeps his promise to send help.
Zoe’s Role in RE7
- Zoe is instrumental in Ethan’s survival.
- She knows what Ethan needs to retrieve for the serum.
- You can experience the arrival of Mia and the bioweapon through Zoe’s eyes in the “Daughters” segment of the “Banned Footage Vol. 2” DLC.

Jack Baker
Jack Baker's Background and Lore
The head of the Baker household, Jack Baker, rules with an iron fist. And shovels, chainsaws, pretty much anything he can grab. But Jack wasn’t always this way. He’s a tough former Marine who settled down on a ranch in Louisiana with Marguerite Baker.
After the bioweapon took over Jack’s mind, he was tasked with abducting stragglers and tourists. When the captives didn’t cooperate, Jack would kill them and dissect their bodies. Organs from the visitors went toward Marguerite’s cooking, so watch out if you catch Mrs. Baker at a potluck!
Jack continues to mutate and regenerate after losing multiple rounds against Ethan. Jack seems to calcify after his final battle with Ethan, ending their feud for good. While Ethan is trapped in some mold, Jack projects a vision to him. He explains to Ethan that he lost control of his mind and body long ago.
Jack’s Role in RE7
- He’s the leader of the Baker family, and he completes most of the abducting, killing, and processing of victims.
- He is the strongest foe that the player encounters.
- He is also present in the majority of DLC content.
- The player fights a new version of Jack in the “End of Zoe” DLC.
Marguerite Baker
Marguerite is the dutiful matriarch of the Baker family. Prior to becoming infected, she was a loving, devoted wife and mother. Even in the early stages, she attempted to fight off the mind control for as long as possible to save Zoe.
Once the infection took hold, she became the mother of thousands of insects that hatch within the mold. As she mutates, her womb becomes a hive full of her beloved bugs. She attempts to feed their “guests” with the organs of previous victims, and often becomes volatile when they refuse.
When Ethan needs her lantern to access an ingredient for the serum, a brawl in the greenhouse ends with a calcified Marguerite.
Marguerite’s Role in RE7

Lucas Baker
A Wild Ride Through Lucas' Demented Lore
Lucas Baker was an unhinged but talented inventor. In his young life, Lucas was teased by a fellow classmate which led him to trap the little boy in the attic to die slowly. He melded the attic remote control so that no one would go poking around.
While Lucas was infected and mind-controlled in the beginning, agents from The Connections approached him. They gave him an injection that broke him free of the mind control in exchange for him to spy on his family and the bioweapon. Using an underground lab in the nearby salt mines, Lucas studied and reported on the progress over time.
After Ethan escaped Lucas’ party room, Lucas fled. In the “Not A Hero” DLC, an agent of Blue Umbrella chases Lucas through the mines, ending Lucas’ reign of terror.
Lucas’ Role in RE7
- He performs lethal experiments on several victims, including Clancy. He later puts Ethan through his party room puzzle.
- He prevents Zoe and Mia from meeting up with Ethan by kidnapping them.
- He keeps The Connections informed.
- He leads Chris Redfield on a wild chase but doesn’t survive.
Grandma
The Truth Behind the E-001 Bioweapon
At first, the player has no information on the wheelchair-bound Grandma. She doesn’t seem to move or speak much, but she does show up in odd places. Over time, Ethan discovers that she is the current physical form of the bioweapon.
Although the E-001 bioweapon is first artificially aged to look like a young girl, she requires medication to maintain her youth. As time went on at the Baker house, she began to age at 25x the normal rate, leaving her an old woman.
Grandma’s Role in RE7
- She appears all over the Baker property, keeping an eye on Ethan.
- She is the aged version of the bioweapon.
Deputy David Anderson
Getting Acquainted With the Deputy
Mainly referred to as “The Deputy,” David Anderson was sent to investigate the Baker home. After a hurried conversation with Ethan through the window, he gives Ethan a pocket knife and tells him to meet him in the garage.
Right as Ethan enters the garage, the Deputy accosts him with questions. Unfortunately, his questions go unanswered before Jack shoves the sharp end of a shovel clean through his head. His death does go toward protecting Ethan, as Ethan can then grab the Deputy’s gun.
Later, Lucas tapes a file to the Deputy’s severed head and leaves it in the trailer fridge for Ethan. Ethan finds his body in the Processing Area and has to find the Snake Key inside his body.
The Deputy’s Role in RE7
- Meeting the Deputy in the garage leads to the first boss fight with Jack.
- His death supplies Ethan with a usable gun.
- His head is used to send Ethan a message, and his body holds the Snake Key.
Eveline
Introducing Eveline: the First E-Series Bioweapon
During the “Mia” videotape, the player gets a glimpse of a ghostly little girl that informs Marguerite of Mia’s location. As it turns out, this little girl is the E-001 bioweapon, Eveline. Although her physical form has aged, she uses her mind powers to create an illusion of still being young.
The Connections created Eveline by merging the anomalous E-Series mold into her genome. She was designed for combat and biowarfare. Her age made her more likely to infiltrate enemy lines, and her powers eliminated the need for combat. She could turn hostile enemies into allies, spawn Molded monsters, or kill those she infected.
Due to Eveline’s lack of family, she developed an unhealthy fixation on having a family of her own. Before the shipwreck, she told Mia that she wants a home and a mother, even going so far as to call Mia, “Mommy.”
Eveline has an opportunity thrown into her lap when the Baker family rescues them. She uses her mind control and mold to take over the Bakers. She then uses them to abduct people in the hope that they will become her adopted family members. When the captives failed to cooperate, Eveline ordered Jack to dispose of them.
Eventually, Eveline decided to manipulate Mia into emailing Ethan. She knew that Ethan would show up, and she wanted him to be her new father figure. Little did Eveline know that Ethan would unravel her plans entirely.
Eveline’s Role in RE7
- Eveline is the E-Series bioweapon that caused the in-game events.
- She lured Ethan to Louisiana.
- Eveline caused over 20 people to go missing in 3 years.
Alan Droney
Oops! Alan Made Eveline Upset
While we don’t know much about Alan, we meet him during the videotape that Eveline forces Mia to watch on the wrecked ship. As it turns out, he was also a special agent for The Connections. Alan accompanied Mia on the ship to handle Eveline, avoiding suspicion by acting as Eveline’s parental guardians.
After being infected by Eveline, Alan sends Mia on a wild goose chase through the ship to find Eveline. When Mia finds Alan again, he is close to death and struggling to grab Eveline’s tissue sample to make a serum. After he says some not-so-nice things about Eveline, she retaliates by using her mold to kill him.
Alan’s Role in RE7
- He is a member of The Connections.
- He was Eveline’s other handler on the ship.
- He carried around the green box that contains Eveline’s tissue sample.
- His death helped Eveline escape.
