The Senate aims to restore Galactic Peace through pacifist ways

The Dark Side is a path to many abilities some might consider, unnatural... while true, in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, Dark Side teams can be some of the strongest available. Quickly rise the ranks to unlock some of these legendary characters with the top 5 Dark Side teams today:

5. Emperor of the Galactic Empire: Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Moff Gideon, Admiral Piett

"Have you heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?"

Long live the Empire! One of the strongest teams (without a Galactic Legend), the intimidating Empire squad does especially well against Jedi and Rebel teams. Emperor Palpatine’s greatest tacticians and enforcers are sure to bring an end to the rebel scum. Gideon and Piett provide excellent support, while Vader, Thrawn, and the Emperor can inflict major damage. Palpatine has always been a favorite character of mine, and with great reason. While he is one of the older characters in-game, he remains an extremely efficient leader and attacker.

Emperor of the Galactic Empire Team Abilities:

  • Empire and Sith allies have +35% Potency and 35% Max Health. Jedi and Rebel enemies have -35% Potency and -35% Evasion
  • When an Empire ally inflicts a debuff during their turn, they gain 20% Turn Meter. When a Sith ally inflicts a debuff during their turn, they recover 20% Health
  • While active, Palpatine inflicts damage equal to 20% of the enemy’s Max Health for each of the following: they are Shocked; they are a Jedi; they are a Rebel. This damage can't defeat enemies
  • With Admiral Piett’s The Emperor’s Trap: whenever an Empire ally begins a turn or attacks out of turn, all Empire allies gain a stack of The Emperor's Trap until the start of the next enemy turn, non-Empire ally's turn, or the end of the battle. The Emperor's Trap can't be copied, dispelled, or prevented The Emperor’s Trap: +6% Offense and Potency per stack
  • if Darth Vader is an ally (Admiral Piett): Darth Vader and Admiral Piett have +20% Accuracy, Potency, and Tenacity.
  • Piett’s Imperial Ambition gains allies Offense Up for 2 turns and Admiral Piett gains Stealth for 2 turns
  • When a debuff on an enemy expires, Empire and Sith allies gain 5% Turn Meter.

4. Imperial Assault Commander: General Veers, Moff Gideon, Admiral Piett, Dark Trooper, Range Trooper

For lifelong glory, for passion, for the Empire!

Another Empire squad, this team may be a surprise to some, but nevertheless is one of the most unique and strongest in-game. With Vees’ recent rework, the complete synergy of the Empire squad can inflict debuffs and massive damage on rebel teams. This team is most effective when buffed with offense mods.

Imperial Assault Commander Team Abilities:

  • Empire allies gain 30% Offense. Imperial Trooper allies gain 20 Speed and gain 10% Turn Meter whenever they gain a buff.
  • While Veers is active, Imperial Trooper allies have +15% Critical Chance.
  • Whenever an enemy is defeated while Veers is active, Imperial Trooper allies gain Offense Up for 2 turns, gain 50% Turn Meter, and recover 10% Protection.
  • With Range Trooper’s Steady: All Empire allies gain Protection Up (40%) for 3 turns

3. Inspiring Through Fear: Darth Vader, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Shoretrooper, Imperial Probe Droid, Wat Tambor

My favorite scene with him has got to be Rogue One's ending, anyone else?

If you only knew the power of the Dark Side… The mighty villain’s team comes at #3 on this list. Under Vader’s leadership: characters should be modded with increased Offense and Speed. Imperial Probe Droid and Wat Tambor act as a taunting presence and health recovery ally.

Inspiring Through Fear Unique Team Abilities:

  • Empire and Sith allies have +30% Offense and have a 50% chance to remove 20% Turn Meter when they damage an enemy.
  • Darth Vader gains 8 Speed until the end of the encounter for each of the following: Empire ally, Sith ally, Jedi enemy, Rebel enemy
  • When Vader’s Merciless Massacre is applied, he gains Merciless and a bonus turn. Merciless:+50% Offense, +25% Critical Chance, and +50% Critical Damage; immune to Fear, Stun, and Turn Meter manipulation and Darth Vader's bonus turns do not trigger other characters' effects based on bonus turns or Turn Meter gain
  • While Darth Vader is alive, enemies immediately regain Damage Over Time for 2 turns whenever Damage Over Time expires on them

2. I Am All The Sith: Sith Eternal Emperor, Wat Tambor, The Armorer, Darth Revan, Darth Nihilus

"As I fell once, so falls the LAST SKYWALKER!" -wrong

So be it, Jedi. The Emperor has somehow returned, and he is overpowered in-game. One of my favorite squads to run with, this team is both haunting and powerful. Wat Tambor and The Armorer provide health benefits to these legendary attackers in the Emperor, Nihilus, and Revan.

I Am All the Sith - Unique Team Abilities:

  • Palpatine’s Sith Eternal should be zeta’d, as it gives dark side allies +25% mastery, +20 speed, +30% potency
  • The Emperor's Ultimate Charge ability can solo many teams, especially when his Power! Unlimited Power! Is used on enemies
  • Darth Nihilus can use his Annihilate to instantly defeat a target enemy. This enemy cannot be revived, and the attack cannot be evaded
  • With The Armorer’s Both Hunter and Prey unique ability: The first time another ally falls below 60% Health, The Armorer gains a stack of Beskar Ingot and that ally recovers 40% Protection. The Armorer starts with 2 stacks of Beskar Ingot.

1. The Final Order: Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, General Hux, Sith Trooper, Kylo Ren (Unmasked), First Order Stormtrooper

Kylo Ren, the tragic story. His redemption was as cheered upon as his initial introduction.

It seems as if Supreme Leader Kylo Ren has completed everything he has sought after, however, at what price? The merciless First Order commands his team to victory. In-game, the destructive leader and his team overpower their enemies with brutal attacks. Powerful attackers in the Supreme Leader and Kylo Ren (Unmasked) are supported by General Hux and Sith Trooper.

The Final Order - Unique Team Abilities:

  • Ren grants allies +30 speed, +40% mastery, and +50% critical damage
  • With General Hux’s Boundless Ambition: General Hux gains Advantage for 2 turns at the start of each encounter. If the allied leader is First Order, all other First Order allies also gain Advantage for 2 turns at the start of each encounter.
  • When a Dark Side ally loses turn meter, they gain 10% of their current max health and max protection (stacking) until the end of the battle
  • Hux can dispel all debuffs on himself and another First Order ally, granting that ally a bonus turn
  • Sith Trooper gains advantage for 2 turns with Supreme Leader Ren at leader
  • Supreme Leader Kylo Ren can use his Depths of Rage Ultimate Charge at 60%, 85%, and 100%. He enters an aggressive stance and deals tremendous damage to all enemies
