Beating the Rancor Raid can seem daunting at first, however, after trial and error you should have a battle-ready legion of squads capable of inflicting massive damage to the Rancor. Here are the top teams to run:

5. The Scavengers: Rey, Chief Nebit, Jawa Scavenger, Jawa Engineer, Wat Tambor

Rey stands at battle-ready attention. Now that Palpatine is defeated, what are her next steps?

It should be noted that the synergy on your raid teams isn’t as important as the turn meter (in my opinion), striking the Rancor the most times will give you the best shot at defeating him. In this squad, Chief Nebit leads the charge. Once it is Wat Tambor’s turn: immediately add health and protection to Rey as she is the only Galactic Legend and the strongest attacker.

The Scavengers Unique Team Abilities:

  • With Chief Nebit’s Desert Ambush: deal physical damage to the target enemy and call a random ally to assist in dealing 20% less damage. If the assisting ally is a Jawa or a Droid, call another random ally to assist. All Jawa called to assist gain Stealth for 3 turns.
  • With Rey’s Relentless Advance: deal physical damage to target enemy. If it's Rey's turn, she deals damage a second time, has +50% Health Steal and ignores 50% of the target's Armor. This Health Steal is doubled while Rey is under 50% Health.
  • Wat Tambor’s Binary Basic should be applied to Rey at the start of the round, with it: Dispel debuffs on the target ally if any ally has debuffs. Apply Heal Over Time twice on all allies for 2 turns.

"Oh I'm not brave enough for politics"

My favorite team, this unit brings in tremendous speed and synergy. Aim to inflict damage in the range of 2.5 million to 3 million. Jedi Master Obi-Wan and General Skywalker prove to be a duo to be reckoned with, especially in the Rancor raid. This team's synergy is one of the best with Jedi’s, the only possible switch would be Ki-Adi-Mundi in favor of Commander Ahsoka Tano.

Hello There! Team Unique Abilities:

  • Ahsoka Tano has +50% Offense and Critical Damage when a light side or Galactic Republic ally is present
  • Ki-Adi-Mundi should have his Decisive Thrust omega’d to truly reach his potential. The attack does as follows: deal Physical damage to the target enemy, for each Galactic Republic Jedi ally, deal +100% damage. Damage is the key to success in raids
  • With Kenobi’s I Will Do What I Must: Deal Physical damage to target enemy and inflict Vulnerable and Healing Immunity for 2 turns, which can't be dispelled or resisted

3. The Final Order: Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, General Hux, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Old Daka, Nightsister Zombie

The mighty Supreme Leader will stop at nothing to defeat the scavenger, Rey.

Although Supreme Leader Kylo Ren is the Galactic Legend on this team, I think the top performers can be a combination of the Nightsisters and Thrawn. Thrawn’s Fracture ability can cripple the Rancor for a period of time, on top of this, the revival capabilities of the Nightsisters make for a seemingly neverending duo to defeat.

The Final Order Unique Team Abilities:

  • With Old Daka’s Serve Again: When another ally is defeated, Old Daka gains 50% Turn Meter and the cooldown of Chant of Resurrection is reduced by 1. When another ally is Revived while Old Daka is active, the Revived ally gains 20% Turn Meter and gains Offense Up and Defense Up for 2 turns, and Old Daka gains +10% Max Health (stacking) until the end of the encounter
  • Thrawn’s Grand Admiral’s Command is essential in recovering health and protection with Old Daka. With it: Swap Turn Meter with a targeted ally. Dispel all debuffs on Thrawn and that ally, and they recover 40% Protection
  • Brutal Assault from Supreme Leader Kylo Ren can deal heavy damage to the Rancor. With it: Inflict Buff Immunity for 2 turns on the target enemy and deal Physical damage to them twice

2. Tactical Deployment: Moff Gideon, Death Trooper, Dark Trooper, Stormtrooper, Admiral Piett

"Assume that I know everything"

While this team may not feature a Galactic Legend, don’t be so quick to count it out. This is the perfect team to wear down the Rancor as the phases progress. Moff Gideon’s loyal troopers will stop at nothing to make sure their enemy is defeated. This squad should be fitted with Defense and Speed mods.

Tactical Deployment Unique Team Abilities:

At the start of the battle, if Moff Gideon has exactly one Dark Side Tank ally, two Dark Side Attacker allies, and one additional Dark Side Support ally, excluding summoned allies, all Dark Side allies gain 30% Max Health and Max Protection.

  • With Admiral Piett’s Intensified Firepower: deal physical damage to target enemy and call another random Empire ally to assist
  • Death Trooper can provide pivotal critical damage. With his Terminate ability: deal physical damage to target enemy. If the target is suffering any debuffs, this attack is a guaranteed Critical Hit

1. The Bad Batch: Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Echo, Omega

Hunter is ready to die for his brothers if that means keeping them safe. With the newest addition of Omega, his duty to his family is as strong as ever.

This group of defective clones is quickly becoming Star Wars fan’s favorite squad. With the recent addition of Omega, use this team to deal the final blows to either defeat the Rancor or leave it at critical health: ready to be wiped out.

The Bad Batch Unique Team Abilities:

  • With Echo’s The One That Survives: Whenever a Clone Trooper ally gains or loses a buff from a Bad Batch ally's ability, they recover 4% Health and Protection, doubled for Bad Batch allies
  • Hunter can use his Combat Prowess to deal physical damage to the targeted enemy and inflict Expose for 2 turns. If the target enemy was debuffed, attack again
  • Omega can be a unique piece if used correctly, at this point of the raid you should be focused on staying alive through stealth and protection. With her Empathy First ability: Omega dispels all debuffs on herself and gains Stealth for 2 turns. Bad Batch allies gain Protection Up (40%) and Defense Penetration Up for 2 turns and 10% Turn Meter.
