[Top 3] Team Fortress 2 Best Medic Loadouts That Are Great
In Team Fortress 2, your playstyle is influenced just as much by your loadout as it is by your class. TF2 has a wide array of weapon choices with all sorts of gimmicks that allow you to lean into certain playstyles.
While it’s widely agreed upon that the default weapons are the best and the most versatile choices, the question of “best loadouts” is so popular because playing these weapons is simply fun. And in a game like TF2, fun is enough! So, with that aside, here are some of my favorite loadouts for the Medic from TF2.
Crusader’s Crossbow + Medigun + Ubersaw
This is the standard loadout for Medic in competitive lobbies, and it’s the one I personally like to use whenever I play this class. It plays to the Medic’s strengths as a support class and allows him to better perform in that role. The Crusader’s Crossbow is particularly useful, allowing you to quickly heal teammates from a distance by firing a crossbow bolt at them.
However, this loadout firmly places you in the hands of your team. If your team is unable to protect you or themselves, you’ll find a hard time surviving as a Medic.
Loadout Details:
Crusader’s Crossbow
- No headshots
- -75% max primary ammo on wearer
- Fires special bolts that heal teammates and deals damage based on distance traveled.
- This weapon will reload automatically when not active
Medigun
Ubersaw
- On Hit: 25% Ubercharge added
- 20% slower firing speed
Advantages:
- The Crusader’s Crossbow allows you to support your teammates from virtually any range, provided you’re able to aim your crossbow consistently.
- The Ubersaw is useful for quickly building up your ubercharge in emergency situations.
The Blutsauger + Quick Fix + Solemn Vow
Nicknamed the “Battle Medic,” this loadout is associated with Medics who have grown tired of their inadequate teams, and have taken matters into their own hands. There are several variations to the Battle Medic playstyle, but this loadout allows a middle ground between playing a support and combat role.
Loadout Details:
The Blutsauger
- On Hit: Gain up to +3 health
- -2 health regenerated per second on wearer
Quick Fix
- Ubercharge increases healing to 300% and grants immunity to movement-impairing effects.
- +40% heal rate
- +10% Ubercharge rate
- -50% max overheal
- Mirror the blast jump and shield charges of patients.
Solemn Vow
- Allows you to see enemy health
- 10% slower firing speed
Advantages:
- The Blutsauger guarantees health regeneration on hit, giving the Medic a much needed edge in combat situations.
- The Quick Fix’s healing speed means that you can minimize the time you spend healing teammates, giving you more time to focus on combat.
- The Solemn Vow can be used to check how much health an enemy has, allowing you to make better decisions in combat.
Crusader’s Crossbow + Kritzkrieg + Ubersaw
A variation on the competitive Medic loadout, this one has the Medic using the Kritzkrieg, whose ubercharge guarantees consistent critical hits when activated. While its effects are nullified by the stock Medigun’s ubercharge effect, the Kritzkrieg builds its uber faster, which means that an enemy team running the Medigun will typically not have an answer to a team with a charged Kritzkrieg. As demonstrated in the video, the results can be devastating!

- The Crusader’s Crossbow allows you to support your teammates from virtually any range, provided you’re able to aim your crossbow consistently.
- The Kritzkrieg builds an ubercharge faster than your stock Medigun, guaranteeing that your team will always have ubercharge first. You can use this opportunity to crush the enemy team with guaranteed critical hits while pushing a point.
- The Ubersaw is useful for quickly building up your ubercharge in emergency situations.
