1 - The Ultimatum Ending

Watch ending:

You can only get this ending if you play very, very badly. Only Mark and Kate can experience this ending. In this ending, Mark wakes up inside a cell, where he can see Kate strapped to a table with a pipe in her nose. Then you see Du’met standing scarily in the corner. A video starts to play; it is the man who tricked them into going to the island, and there he explains that he had to call them to free himself and his daughter. And now Mark has to follow the same path and call innocent people to meet their deaths.

Now, there are two endings that can happen here: Mark can agree and call the people, or he can deny it. Either way, they both will die, but if he calls the people, Du’met will give them a false sense of security and allow them to "escape" for a short period of time.

If Mark denies it, Kate will die by Du’met putting acid into the pipe on Kate’s nose and killing her, and then releasing a gas that will kill him.

If Mark agrees, he calls the people and pretends to be Du’met, and when the people arrive, he and Kate escape in a boat, only to be pulled back into the island and be snipped by Du’met (probably the same ending the man and his daughter had). So basically, you cannot have a happy ending. It is safe to say that this is a bad ending.

In the post-credit scene, we can see that a new family has been chosen to visit Du’met Island.

How to get this ending:

  • Everybody except Mark and Kate has to die before the lighthouse chapter.

2 - The Boat Ending

Watch everybody lives ending:

Watch everybody dies ending:

Now, this is where it gets tricky. You can have everybody live up to this point, but if you don’t act quickly enough, everybody, including the poor dog, can die. After they all get to the boat, Du’met, as expected, will follow them and try to kill them, just like Jason when you try to escape by boat on Friday the 13th. Not very original, Mr. Du’met.

Preferably, everybody jumps out of the boat, and Du’met dies in the explosion of the boat. Later on, they are found by a trucker, and he calls the police so the survivors can tell them what happened. Every character reaches their own decision at the end.

Kate and Mark discuss the job opportunity in New York. Erin and Jaime discuss their relationship, and Charlie decides to quit smoking. Connie, the dog, will be there with them. Actually, even if all the characters are dead and you manage to save the dog, he will be the sole survivor.

In every ending, it is heavily implied that Du’met didn’t die, or at least a hand is seen taking the killer's mask. If it is Du’met or not, we don’t know; we only know that the cycle of violence didn’t end.

Later, we see the news, and according to each ending, the news is different:

If one or more characters survive, the atrocities that happened there are going to be discovered.

If everybody dies, the news will say that the film crew mysteriously disappeared and there is no news from the police who went to investigate the island.

We also see a group of friends watching the news, and one of them says that their video went viral and they were invited by Du’met to an island.

How to get this ending:

  • At least one person has to be alive and get to the boat, and it cannot be Mark and Kate together.
  • So no matter what ending you get, we can say for sure that either Du’met or somebody picked up his handy work and continued the path to cause pain and suffering, which actually is the H.H. Holmes legacy that Du’met kept alive.
