24. Little Nightmares II

In this sequel to Little Nightmares, you play as a boy named Mono with Six (the protagonist from the first game) following you. You have to make your way through a city to a tower called the Black Tower while solving puzzles and surviving whatever horror comes your way.

21. Death of Rose

In this game, you play as Scott who explores an abandoned high school where is said that a cult worships there. You find paranormal activity taken place at the school. Will you survive and find out what is going on?

A family has been missing for over a week, and you play as a detective who investigates the disappearance. You will soon find that the disappearance of the family may be connected to outer space aliens.

18. Dead Static Drive

You play as a character who goes on a road trip to reconnect with family members. However, you find that monsters are attacking people, so you must survive. 

This is a top-down survival horror game that is developed by Team Fanclub. You go from town to town doing missions and hope that you can defeat the monsters. If you like Lovecraftian horror, then I recommend this game.

You play as a woman named Marianne who is a medium. As Marianne, you go into the spirit realm where you deal with ghosts. Can you survive? 

In this game, you control Marianne in both the human world and the spirit world seemingly simultaneously. You may have to solve puzzles in the human world to access new areas in the spirit world for example. It is an interesting concept and is worth checking out.

16. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope

Five people find themselves trapped in a ghost town. You must help them survive in a series of dialogue choices and quick-time events. You could save them or they all die. 

This is one of those games where you are presented with a dialogue choice, and you choose. Your choices can influence the story and thus the ending. This encourages multiple playthroughs as you could experience different endings. If you like games that play like those from Telltale Games, then check this game out.

You play as a physicist who used to work at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant, but when the disaster happened, the physicist lost their loved one. 30 years, you return to the plant to find the loved one. Is the loved one alive or dead?

In a dying world, you play as Saidah who is looking for her abducted child. You must survive against monsters and an oppressive regime as you search for the child. 

You can kill enemies or sneak around them. You can also pretend to be someone of a higher social and economic status. There is a lot of things you can choose to do in the game to survive and find the child.

10. Silent Doom

You find yourself in a mysterious and dangerous place filled with monsters. You can fight against them once you find weapons, but it may be better to run. While surviving, you must solve puzzles to go to other areas.

You wake up in a desert and have amnesia. You don’t remember anything, so you must find out what has happened. However, you must watch out for monsters lurking around.

2. Airtight City

You are trapped in a building filled with monsters. You must find a way out of the building before they kill you. Always keep your guard up, the monsters may be around the next corner. 

The game is inspired by the Resident Evil games, and the gameplay is very similar to the Resident Evil Revelations. The monsters are terrifying, and you don’t know what is around the corner, so you always find yourself uneasy as you explore.

1. Resident Evil Village

Taking place a few years after Resident Evil 7, you play as Ethan who goes to Europe after coming across Chris Redfield who seemingly shoots Ethan’s wife Mia. In Europe, you find yourself in a village that has monsters and must find out what is going on. 

The next installment in the legendary Resident Evil series looks amazing. The game features what looks like a werewolf-like monster. The game will be in first-person like in Resident Evil 7 (and hopefully with the VR function). If you like Resident Evil 7, then keep your eye out for this game in the future.
