What’s up! It’s Miggy again, and I’m back for another Valorant article! This time, we’re gonna talk about mouse sensitivity.
What is Sensitivity and why is it important?
Sensitivity (often shortened as sens) is how much your cursor moves on the screen relative to how much you are actually moving your mouse. On one hand, if your mouse has low sens, it would take a lot of space in your mouse pad to move your cursor. On the other hand, if your mouse has high sens, it only takes little mouse movements with your fingers or wrist. TL;DR: if you have a whole mousepad available for you to move your mouse, you can use low sens. If you only want your fingers to work for you, use high sens.
Why does this matter in Valorant? Your sens will determine how much effort it takes you to move your mouse to either correct your crosshair placement or hit a flickshot!
We need three numbers in determining sens:
- Mouse Dots Per Inch (DPI): This is how fast your cursor moves on screen
- In-game sens: This is the setting you change inside the game
- Effective Dots Per Inch (eDPI): This is how fast your view moves inside Valorant. To get this, we multiply DPI by in-game sens. It’s that simple!
So, what sens is good for you? Let’s check out what the pros use!
10. Yay

You’ve probably heard this advice: it’s better not to use your aim down sights (ADS) in Valorant. After all, it slows down your fire rate. But Yay defies common knowledge. He always uses ADS to one-tap his opponents. For Call of Duty players, maybe ADS is not a bad habit after all!
Yay is currently a free agent. He was part of the OpTic Gaming squad that had the most winnings ($499,000 in one year!) and viewership in 2022. #GreenWall

Watch ScreaM own: What makes ScreaM the VALORANT KING OF 1 TAPS
ScreaM says it himself: “They talk about my one-taps”. From CS:GO to VALORANT, he’s been clicking heads professionally for 13 years now!
ScreaM is currently playing the duelist role for Karmine Corp in the EMEA region. Prior to the franchising model of Valorant, he was part of the Team Liquid roster that qualified to VALORANT Champions 2021 and 2022. He was a CS:GO pro player for 10 years before switching to VALORANT. Talk about veteran experience.

If you’re looking for insane flickshots then look no further. TenZ was insanely ahead of the pack during the early days of VALORANT. He was the first to reach Valorant rank before they changed it to Radiant!
TenZ is currently playing a KAY/O and Jett flex for Sentinels. He’s been with the org since 2021, and for a long time they dominated the pro scene with their insane individual mechanics. How dominant, you ask? They did not drop a single map in VCT 2021 Masters Reykjavik. Most people smurf in ranked. TenZ smurfs in the pro scene.

7. cNed
Watch cNed own: 20 TIMES cNed Shocked THE VALORANT WORLD! 2
cNed is one of the best players to ever use the Operator on Jett. His aim and reaction time is INSANE. A dry peek from his opponents almost always means a guaranteed kill. He’s so good, he even punishes jump peeks! Spend utility or spend an agent. It’s up to his opponents.
cNed is currently the duelist main for Natus Vincere. They qualified for VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo by placing 4th in the VCT 2023 EMEA League. Before VALORANT franchising, cNed was the star player of Acend. They won the very first VALORANT Champions back in 2021 against Gambit Esports.

The Brazilian menace. The ultimate duelist. His first kill percentage is astronomically high, dry peeking is not an option for his enemies. His name is aspas.
Aspas is the star player of LOUD. They won VALORANT Champions 2022 against Optic Gaming before franchising. After franchising, they won the Americas League which qualified them for VCT Masters Tokyo 2023. They went into franchising LOUD, alright.

W gaming! The most common advice in VALORANT is to play conservatively when you have more players alive than the enemy team. Not for f0rsakeN. He will seek out engagements even on a 5v2. He’s relentless. (Note: what’s a correct play for him is not a correct play for us. DON’T OVERHEAT)
f0rsakeN is currently playing for Paper Rex. They won the VCT Pacific League and placed 3rd in the VCT Masters Tokyo 2023. As early as 2021, they made huge waves by reaching 4th in VCT Masters Reykjavik.

Jinggg is the other half of the W gaming duo. He is the Raze to f0rsakeN’s Jett. I wish good luck to whoever tries to stop this 1-2 punch combo from entering the site.
Jinggg is also currently playing for Paper Rex. He mainly plays Raze, Phoenix and Sage in pro matches. Don’t get it wrong, he is still aggressive when he plays Sage. If you want to see Battle Sage gameplay, watch Jinggg!

Boostio: the In-Game Leader that also frags out for his team! Normally, IGLs play passive roles so that they can think of their strategies mid-round effectively, but not Boostio. He wants to get those kills!
Boostio is currently playing for Evil Geniuses. They have a Cinderella story: was dead last in the Americas League, made some roster changes that were perceived as questionable by a lot of analysts, then eventually fought their way to top 4 in the league then 2nd in VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo. Always nice to root for the underdogs.

Get your Boasties! Boaster is one of the goofiest players to ever grace the stage. He does K-pop dances as he walks out to his PC! His personality can sometimes hide the fact that he is the best mid-round tactician in the game right now.
Boaster is currently in the FNATIC roster. For so long, it seemed as though they had a curse: they always placed second in international events. They almost lost in the grand finals of VCT 2023: LOCK//IN Sao Paulo against the home team LOUD, but they pulled off a 3-11 comeback on the last map of the series.

Watch Derke own: The Art Of AIMBOT: Derke
I said Boaster is the best tactician in VALORANT right now. Wanna know one of his shot calls? “Derke, go kill!” It’s that simple!
Derke is the main duelist of FNATIC. His Raze is deadly with an Average Combat Score of 259.9. One of the main indicators of a successful team is how often their duelist gets the first kill of the round for them, and Derke never disappoints in that category.
