The Wolf Among Us perfectly illustrates this as the story unravels and Bigby continues his investigation. Now as a player, I can’t help but feel empathetic towards Bigby and his struggles to keep the Fabletown safe, despite being constantly reminded of his gruesome past. As with every choice you make, you change how the story ends, players can’t help but feel responsible for the consequences Bigby has to face. This guide will show you the different endings that exist in the game and how to get the best one.
Killing the Crooked Man without a trial

If you were to kill the Crooked Man at the Foundry without bringing him to trial, it’s just about the same as bringing the wrath of Fabletown upon yourself. Now to come to this specific ending, you have got to make some bad choices. Like burning down Aunty Greenleaf's magic tree, tearing off Gren’s arm, ruining Lily’s funeral, killing Dum, and not saving Lawrence from killing himself. All and all the townsfolk will turn against Bigby and Snow White for following their whims. If you wait for Nerissa to come, she will connect the Crooked Man to Faith and Lily’s murders or you can choose to walk away before she comes and be forever hated in the eyes of the people of Fabletown.
Bringing the Crooked Man to trial

Now if you were to seek redemption for the Big Bad Wolf, a good starting point is bringing the Crooked Man to trial. Once presented to the folks of Fabletown, the Crooked Man will try to make his case, seemingly convincing at that. If Lawrence is present, he will argue otherwise, trying to show that it’s often the sweetest tongue that has the sharpest teeth. As the debate goes on, the people of Fabletown couldn’t see eye to eye, and it eventually comes to Bigby choosing the Crooked Man’s fate.
Rip His Head Off
The Crooked Man will pull Bigby towards that Witching Well. If you decide that you are done with the Crooked Man’s games and want to be done with him for good, then just rip his head off. In doing so, you will have turned Bigby into the Big Bad Wolf that the townsfolk always feared him to be, and perhaps he might not be redeemable.
Throw Him Down the Well
As the Crooked Man drags you towards the Witching Well, you will have to choose between the three options. If you decide to throw him down the Witching Well, you will have the people divided as half of them will be on your side, and understandably so, but ultimately all of them are in agreement with this decision.
Lock Him in Jail
As Bigby is being pulled towards the Witching Well, after punching the Crooked Man in the face which he well deserves, if you decide to lock him up, Bigby will pull him up after brushing him with death. With shock from Holly, Gren and Bluebeard follow the support of townsfolk, who were getting cold feet at the idea of killing the Crooked Man. And Bigby will be seen as more than the Big Bad Wolf.
Best Possible Ending

Now, don’t we all want our beloved Wolf to finally be seen in the eyes of his people as the hero that they deserve? The people of Fabletown have been through a lot and so has Bigby. But his efforts have constantly been undermined by the people on the account of his bloody past. If you want to make sure that Bigby’s efforts are seen by the people of Fabletown, you will have to make a few other choices aside from locking the Crooked Man in jail. Here are the steps to get the best ending for Bigby Wolf.
In Episode 1 Faith part 4 (Choices): Choose to go to Lawrence first instead of Mr. Toad. In doing so you will be able to save Lawrence from killing himself. When Dee shows up to ransack Lawrence’s place, jumps out of the closet before Lawrence pulls the trigger and kills himself.
In Episode 1 Faith part 6 (Trip Trap): While fighting Gren, choose to spare his arm. And then choose to arrest Dee instead of the Woodsman. Then during interrogation, keep Dee’s money (you’ll need it later to book room 207 especially if you gave your money to Faith).
In Episode 3 A Crooked Mile part 3 (Marching Song): Pay respect to Lily’s funeral and wait for the funeral without interrupting Snow White during the speech and the ceremony that comes after.
In Episode 3 A Crooked Mile part 5 (Happy Thoughts): Disobey Snow White and do not burn down Aunty Greenleaf's tree, furthermore, offer her the job.
In Episode 3 A Crooked Mile part 6 (My Shadow): Choose to let Dee live, instead of killing him.
In Episode 4 In Sheep’s Clothing part 1 (House call): Choose to not send Colin to the farm.
In Episode 5 Crywolf part 4 (Face to Face): Do not kill the Crooked Man, bring him to trial.
In Episode 5 Crywolf part 5 (On Fairness): Do not throw the Crooked Man into the Witching Well or rip his head off. Throw him in jail.
So, this covers it. Everything is laid out step-by-step, so you can make Sheriff Bigby Wolf into the hero of Fabletown.
