6. Gears of War

Grab a chainsaw and split your enemies in half in realistic looking combat. Blood sprays everywhere and the carnage never stops! At least the game has a well thought out story.

The story takes place well into the future in a post-apocalyptic setting where soldiers called Gears have to defend humanity from the threat of the Locusts. The Locusts are sentient alien like creatures that want nothing more than to tear your little body into pieces.
