While slavery may be considered a sin of the past, for the most part, corporate slavery is still very much a part of modern life.
The authors of science fiction believe that the future will be ruled by corporate giants that will hold the world in the palm of their hands. As is so common, those in power tend to forget the boundaries of the law…
‘Deadlink’ proposes a cyberpunky future full of smog-filled skies, grimy warehouses, overstuffed slums, and the slick office buildings and housing developments of the rich and powerful.
The corporations that run the world through the power of trade do so in less-than-legal ways, stepping on the downtrodden and cutting corners for their own power and profit.
Players are tasked with the ginormous mission of catching the corporations red-handed and bringing them to justice. Of course, when fighting such powerful enemies, something with a little more firepower than mere words is gonna be necessary.
As a Corporate Security Agent, players will pilot a “combat shell” with tremendous firepower that is ideal for stopping the corporate criminals dead in their tracks without the hassle of a pointless court case that would stretch for years until the corporations’ legal team and budget completely overwhelmed that of the Corporate Security Agency.
The combat shell can be upgraded with better weapons, stronger armor, and unique features to make it the ultimate fighting tool.
Using loadout combinations strategically in conjunction with the environment and constant repositioning is key in overcoming a foe that will always outnumber the player.
Each mission run that players complete is completely randomized for endless replayability and a fresh experience each time around.
‘Deadlink’ is developed by ‘Gruby Entertainment.’ The official release date has not yet been announced.
