Being lost in the jungle and having to survive the cruelty of mother nature in a harsh environment such as the Amazon jungle with almost no gear or equipment is not something anybody would wish to do.
In ‘Green Hell VR’ players take on the role of an anthropologist, ‘Jake Higgins’ who is following a voice of a “loved one” that is leading him deeper and deeper into the Amazon Rain Forest. Jake left on this expedition very suddenly and unexpectedly, and as a consequence, he has nothing with him but a smartwatch, backpack, and a survival guide.
Players must survive in the jungle, crafting the weapons and tools they need to collect food with and survive. Players can also craft items such as bandages or healing treatments to use when they get injured, infected, or sick. Additionally, players must build a shelter to protect themselves from the elements and wild animals during the night as they sleep.
Besides the obvious dangers of the jungle-like wild animals, snakes, spiders, and other such hazards, there is also the risk of disease, infection, and infection by parasitic organisms such as leeches. It is imperative that players ensure that their characters’ wounds are treated and infections are dealt with.
Players must hunt and collect food to sustain their characters and stay alive as they complete the quest set before them by the voice of Jake’s loved one calling to him in his head.
‘Green Hell VR’ is VR only and is made to be as realistic as possible in VR. The game is developed by ‘Incuvo’ and is available on Steam.
