For thousands of years, humans believed that it was impossible for people to ever be able to fly. Then the Wright brothers came along and proved generations of highly intelligent people wrong. Their discoveries inspired others to follow suit, giving rise to modern aerospace engineering and aircraft over time.
In ‘Hazel Sky’ players take on the role of a young man named Shane who is sent to an island to become an ‘Engineer’ that builds flying machines as part of the flying city Gideon. To become an engineer, Shane must pass a variety of trials and adhere to the strict rules and regulations that apply to aspiring engineers.
As part of his journey, Shane is required to collect parts, build, and fly a wide range of different flying machines. Players must use their imaginations and engineering ingenuity to build epic aircraft according to the requirements of the trials.
According to the game’s developers, Shane faces an unexpected challenge in the development of a close friendship between himself and ‘Erin,’ who is also training to be an engineer. This goes directly against the rules of the trials.
Shane is faced with a series of tough choices. Shane is meant to be an engineer. His head tells him to stay the course and become the engineer he was meant to be, but his heart and the power of romance pull him away towards the despised world of the artists, who are looked down upon by the rest of society.
Players must navigate the tricky waters of romance, destiny, and the trials as they do whatever it takes to get Shane to where he needs to go.
‘Hazel Sky’ is developed by ‘Coffee Addict Studio’ and is on Steam.
