Amber often finds herself with a controller in her hands and a story in her heart. She has been writing tall tales since she was fourteen and has been devouring stories for as long as she can remember. With ten years of writing under her belt along with nearly twenty years of gaming to boot, she can easily sit down and speculate about a world's lore. She prefers writing game guides for others to follow, this inspiration comes from many a late night spent scribbling item syntheses, gift guides, or maps to make things easier! As a young teenager, Amber had one of her poems submitted by a teacher and published in a poetry collection. She also has a cosmetology degree and decorates cakes. Some of the earliest games she can remember playing are Mortal Kombat 4 and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon. Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon was the game she knows front and back. Kingdom Hearts II was there for her in her darkest days. Still, she finds herself surprised when a game takes hold of her heart and forces her to play it out of respect, like the artistic gem that is Hollow Knight. She loves action-roleplaying games with a sprinkling of RPGs, metroidvanias, rogue-likes, and simulation as well. Writing about games is just one more way that she can connect with people and add their stories to her collection.
