Sarah E. Roy is an Eastern Shore based artist specializing in illustration and creative writing. She graduated from Washington College with dual degrees in English & Art. Her interests in literature, philosophy, and art history heavily inform the context of her work.

Roy is inspired by a love of storytelling media: from comics to classics, video games to film. This wide breadth of subjects lends a unique versatility to Roy’s short stories, and her media reviews often search for real world themes in fantastical settings. Her favorite aspect of writing about games in particular is exploring the verisimilitude of each new world, and how it reflects upon concerns in our own. Her goal as a creative presence is to persist with curiosity in the face of cosmic horror to defeat complacency.
