Fillmore Press, when he worked under the name Madder Red, was a horrific serial killer who did worse to his victims than just kill them. After a surgery that supposedly rid him of his evil tendencies, he partners up with the police to do good for a change. However, Press’ past can only stay a secret for so long, and there’s no guarantee that he’s been cured for good.
7. Erased
Satoru Fujinuma is wrongfully accused of murder, and he soon finds himself back in the past thanks to a mysterious phenomenon. He soon figures that the murder might be connected to the abuduction and killing of Kayo Hinazuki, one of his former classmates. For Satoru to protect those close to him in the present, he’ll first have to uncover the truths of the past.
6. Kill or Be Killed
Dylan is a cynical and depressed college student who attempts suicde after he overhears his roommate and his best friend talking about how pitiable he is. Somehow he survives, but that very night he is visited by a demon who claims to have saved his life and who says that if Dylan wants to live, he must kill a person each month. At first Dylan had his doubts, but after he begins to believe the demon’s words, he finds himself on the hunt for “bad” people to kill monthly . As he continues on this new path, Dylan finds his life taking a turn for the worse.
5. Psycho Pass
In the new future, the Sibyl System, a system that examines a person’s mental state to determine their threat level, is what is used to enforce justice. Akane Tsunemori is a young woman with a passion for justice, and she begins working with Shinya Kougami, an Enforcer, which is someone who does the dirty work of an Inspector, the ones who uphold the law. However, as she spends more time on the job, she realizes the system is less perfect than it’s made out to be and that the justice she dreams of might not be achievable.
4. From Hell
William Gull, the royal physician for Queen Victoria is asked to help deal with a royal scandal, and when it is dug up, he is summoned to bury the ones who are attempting to bring it to the surface. How Gull goes about disposing of the four women who threatened the crown is nothing short of brutal. Gull begins having visions and as he continues to kill, he falls deeper and deeper into the pits of insanity.
3. Death Note
Light Yagami is a prodigious high school student who happens to find a Death Note dropped by a god of death. Inside the notebook is a list of rules on how to use it and what it does, which is kill those whose names are written in it. At first, Light was skeptical, but when it’s proven to work, Light realizes that the Death Note can be used to change the world. He adopts the alias “Kira” and decides that he will levy justice and execute criminals with the Death Note. This doesn’t sit well with everyone, and so brought in is the reknown detective L. The superior intelligence of Light and L are put to the test as genius battles genius.
2. My Friend Dahmer
To the world Jeffrey Dahmer was a monster, but to Derf Backderf he was very much human. In this story of his, Backdorf shows his teenage friendship with Dahmer. Though he in no way excuses Dahmer’s crimes, Backdorf offers a glimpse into the world of his classmate that was plagued by torment.

Tenma believed he made the right choice, despite said choice ruining his career, until he learns what has become of Johan. Years after his life was saved, Johan has become a monster, and Tenma takes it upon himself to right the wrong he is responsible for.
