15. Team Umizoomi

The tiny team of Milli, her brother Geo, and their robot friend named Bot. These mighty math superheroes help people in Umi City with their problems. Often these problems involve solving equations, making measurements, and finding patterns.

While it delves into Dora the Explorer territory, it’s actually a lot more refreshing, adorable, and the humor is hilariously cheesy.

And keep in mind that these mini math heroes actually had a Nick Jr. commercial with GORDON RAMSEY. That’s one way of getting the adults to watch too!

14. Sid the Science Kid

Quite the optimistic youngster with an obsession for finding answers, Sid and his friends spend every episode solving questions with science!

This show may be for little kids, but there is that ONE episode that has all the millennials talking.

The “Where Did I Come From” episode.

Holy sh*t, that was all sorts of f*cked up! And I love it!

13. Wallykazam!

Wally is a little troll who one day discovered a magic wand that turned words into reality. The catch is that every day is a different vowel, suffix, prefix, or even something that starts with a certain letter. But not to worry! With the power of thinking and his friends helping him find the right words, any problem can be solved!

God, this show was better than most on Nick Jr, and yet it didn’t even last that long.

The characters are what we adults like to call “ugly cute”. Like Shrek!

And the dialogue and voice-acting does not treat you like you’ve just been born. Even though this show is for little kids, adults get a laugh out of the humor and slight meta jokes Wally and his gang bring.

And the biggest reason all ages definitely enjoy this show: Bobgoblin.

That little bastard is the best!

12. The Busy World of Richard Scarry

Did I just hit a long-forgotten memory?

I remember watching this while staying over at a sitter’s house. It was a kind of aesthetic that I recall was similar to watching Arthur.

I also remember reading the books. Actually, I don’t think I read them as much as I looked at the pictures.

You think “Where’s Waldo?” is a time-killer? I spent who-knows-how-long staring at all the Busytown pictures trying to locate certain characters.

Just TRY to keep from crying when you listen to that sweet, melodic theme song again.

11. Rolie Polie Olie

On Planet Polie is a robot-based neighborhood where the Polie family live. Young boy Olie is always taking himself on wild, wacky adventures around the house. Often joining him are his sister Zowie and their dog Spot. Some adventures start with one of his dad’s inventions going haywire. Other times it’s either helping their mother out or reliving their grandpa Pappy’s glory days.

Anyone grew up on Playhouse Disney?

Yeah, this along with shows like PB&J Otter and Bear in the Big Blue House were the best part of the weekend.

By the time you’re reading this article, you’re probably already aware that the creator announced new episodes are being made.

That’s right. Our Playhouse days are coming back!

10. Handy Manny

Manny is Sheetrock Hills’ best handyman. With help from his talking tools, he can get any job done. As his slogan goes, “You break it, we fix it!”.

I loved this show so much as a kid.

But what I didn’t notice as a kid as I do today, is that Manny and Kelly obviously have feelings for each other. And I like this couple more than the ones Disney likes to milk.

Honestly, if I wanted to learn Spanish, I would prefer the handsome repairman with the adorable, talking tools.

Rather than the ass-looking self-proclaimed “explorer” with the whiny monkey and annoying map.

9. The Ollie and Moon Show

Two six-year-old cats, Ollie and Moon, along with their travelling companion Stanley the snail, travel around the world to learn about different cultures.

At first you think this is a Gumball rip-off with the main characters being cats and the realistic backgrounds.

Trust me, it’s not.

It’s more like that Arthur spin-off “Postcards From Buster”.

Much like that show, this is equally fun. Kids and adults will laugh along with Ollie and Moon and learn about places around the world.

8. Peppa Pig

Peppa Pig is a sweet yet slightly cheeky little piggy who is always looking for adventure! Her family often find themselves in unusual situations, no matter how normal they start their day. Whether it’s meeting The Queen. Going on a sea expedition with Grandpa Pig. Or jumping into the world’s biggest muddy puddle!

There are a ton of adults I know who actually adore this show (and they don’t have kids).

Some of the humor the show gets away with is why it’s so popular with grown-ups.

And let’s be honest. While Peppa is the star of the show, most of us stay tuned for Daddy Pig.

His deep voice and tendency to misunderstand things. Or possibly try to solve problems that may or may not become worse. And though he’s designed the same way as all the other men in the show, it’s hilarious how Peppa and her family often joke about his weight.

I’m not saying this show fat-shames him. It’s just whenever they bring up “Daddy’s big tummy”, it always gets a laugh out of me.

7. Veggietales

Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber host a show called of the aforementioned title. In each segment, they received a letter from someone with a question. And each question is always answered with a story from the Bible, but done Veggietales-style.

It’s the kind of Christian values cartoon that isn’t all in your face.

Unlike Butch Hartman’s “billion dollar idea” known as The Gate, this show is actually entertaining.

Every Bible story has a unique Veggietales twist to it. Because it’s entertainment for the whole family. And because kids are too young to absorb the graphic violence actually discussed in the Bible.

What I especially love about this show is that it doesn’t have to be a Bible story for us to learn about the word of God.

One of my favorite episodes is “The Penniless Princess”, which is based on the 1900s children’s novel “A Little Princess”. Both of them have made me cry.

I know Veggietales has been through a lot of sh*t over the years.

From going bankrupt. Getting butchered by Dreamworks into an ass-looking Netflix series. The cancellation and people nearly forgetting its existence.

Up until its recent resurface. And we finally got to see Bob, Larry, and the rest of the gang after all these years.

Watch The Veggietales Show.

6. Bubble Guppies

I loved this show for a number of reasons.

The singing.

The humor.

And Mr Grouper.

This is probably because the Darkwing Duck fangirl in me kept gushing over the fact he was voiced by the same guy who was freaking Bushroot. (And Pig from Barnyard)

I’ve come to the realization that even though this show directs itself toward the audience, it doesn’t treat you like an idiot.

It treats you like you’re part of the gang.

5. Muppet Babies

What were the Muppets like as babies? This series revolves around our beloved characters like Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzy, and Gonzo in their younger years! Even as kids, the adventures were never dull! And Miss Piggy’s love for her Kermie is timeless!

Yes, I grew up on the classic version. It was alright.

But the 2018 version opened a lot more than the original did.

For starters, the newer version has Rizzo.

Animal actually looks like Animal (I was always annoyed how the classic version gave him that ridiculous bonnet).

And Statler and Waldorf are actually in this series! Yes, they often joke and laugh. But what I really love about their roles in this newer version is interacting with the children.

There was even an episode where they filled in as Fozzie’s grandparents! How ADORABLE is that?

4. Oddbods

Meet Newt, Slick, Fuse, Bubbles, Pogo, Zee, and Jeff! Seven colorful beings known as Oddbods that work, play, and somehow wind up causing chaos! Especially for each other!

Like most shows that are supposedly directed at younger audiences, this grabbed the adults’ attention.

This is some unique 3D animation!

The character designs. The episodes. The overall creativity. All so original!

And these little dudes are NOT boring!

You’ll find yourself either falling in love with them. Or relating to them.

For me, I know for a fact I got to relate to Newt and Fuse. I can be often sweet. But I can be temperamental and aggressive too.

3. Go! Go! Cory Carson

Cory Carson is a little car with a lot of imagination! Whether it’s adopting a rock and naming it Karen, helping a little plane conquer new heights, or eating all the ice cream he can get. Viewers will brighten up watching Cory and his lovable vehicle community.

I almost thought this was going to be like that awful Cars rip-off “A Car’s Life”.

But boy was I wrong!

This show is so cute! And for 3D animation, it’s so fluid and bouncy!

Cory Carson’s neighborhood is full of adorable characters that you’ll fall in love with instantly!

2. Blue’s Clues

Blue is an adorable pup who always leads her owner, and the audience, on a fun mystery. Follow the pawprints! Follow the clues! And you’ll discover what exactly Blue wants to tell us!

This show is legit the BEST Nick Jr. show ever!

Unlike Dora, this show had: great songs, great characters, and we the audience did not get treated like we only had half a brain.

And the reboot definitely honors the original!

1. Bluey

Bluey and her sister Bingo often let their imaginations run wild. How wild? Well, we’re not even sure what is real and what isn’t. Because everything and anything they come up with is just THERE.

No surprise this has more adult viewers than kids.

We especially adore Chili and Bandit for taking a lot and being just as playful as their daughters.

Fandom is pretty divided on whether or not this is all really make-believe.

Or the show is mind-f*cking us.
