The faun has three tasks for Ofelia, the tasks that will prove her loyalty by exposing her weaknesses, emphasizing her strengths, and revealing the bigger picture.
This movie is another one of Guillermo del Toro's masterpieces, dark, fascinating, sometimes scary and uncomfortable because of the themes it ruthlessly exposes, but leaving us with the feeling of two hours well-spent.
