[Top 10] Cartoons with Evil MC

Cartoons with Evil Main Characters
Remember how awesome Fridays were when this show came on?

As much as we hate to admit it, we're always simping for the bad guys. It's no wonder Joker is practically more iconic than Batman!

10. El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera

Manny may seem like a regular kid. But when duty calls, he spins his belt buckle and becomes Miracle City’s youngest hero El Tigre. With his best friend Frida, he seeks to pursue in the footsteps of his father, the famous White Panthera. Or possibly in the footsteps of his famous villain grandfather Puma Loco. Because being evil is just as fun as being a hero!

This show was ahead of its time (and ended too soon because Nickelodeon’s an asshole).

We have an MC who’s the show’s hero.

And villian.

Well, Manny’s only 13 (and will stay that age because Nick pulled the plug before this show could develop further). It’s tough for him to pick between honoring his hero dad or his villain grandpa.

Frida represents us, the viewers, telling Manny to pick whichever. For temporary use depending on the episode.

I will never forget that one special that had two endings.

One where Manny chose to bide by his heroic duty and do what’s right.

Or the one where he screws both his dad and grandpa over, double crosses his partner in crime, and rules the world alongside his best friend.

Yeah, we all preferred the second one.

9. Sidekick

Eric was an orphan who gets adopted by the city’s most famous hero Maxum Man. However, the hero suddenly disappears, leaving Eric in the care of his sarcastic AI computer. While keeping word of his mentor’s absence a secret, Eric attends the Academy for Aspiring Sidekicks. Along with his friends, they must battle harsh exams, grumpy educators, and deal with their rivals at the henchmen academy.

The word “sidekick” already sounds demeaning enough. This show’s got kids thinking that being merely sidekicks to the world’s most popular (and brattiest) heroes is an absolute honor.

None of the main characters (save for Eric) are worthy of even being called a sidekick. Because they abuse the power of their future positions.

And each other.

There is literally a “Beat Up Eric Day” in this show’s sh*thole of a city. And the so-called friends that Eric has partake in it with actual eagerness. Even the girl who has a yandere crush on him.

Eric already lost his parents. The man who adopted him suddenly disappears. And no one gives him the least bit of sympathy.

What is this, Naruto all of a sudden?

This show ended without any further development, including what the hell happened to Maxum Man. And ended with Eric getting beat up by his entire school.

We cannot blame him if he decided to go to the dark side had this show continued.

8. South Park

Once a wholesome, family friendly town...now like every other place in the world thanks to violence in movies and sex on TV! No, this is not Family Guy. This is much, MUCH more worse.

You didn’t think I was going to make this list and not include South Park, did you?

You know very well why THIS show is in the Top 10.

That fatass psychopath who should be imprisoned like Hannibal.

Sure, he can still be your favorite of the main cast (if you like being sadistic yourself). But don’t sugarcoat his “issues” the way his mom does.

Satan is an actual character on the show. And he doesn’t even come close to half the sh*t Cartman has done.

7. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

Having lost to a couple of children, the once famous Grim Reaper is forced to be “their best friend” forever. But he as well as the audience slowly begin to realize in the town of Endsville...it’s no different up here than it is down there!

2 out of the 3 main characters are most definitely in the evil category.

One definitely came from Hell. The other just reaps when he’s pissed.

While Grim and Mandy are pretty obvious, it’s a rarity to see Billy go down that path (although not for long and it’s just laughable).

Having grown up with the show and practically imagining most of them as my enemies, I can’t tell if the secondary characters are 100% evil.

Or 10% evil. 90% stupid.

Then again, we got Evil Con Carne. And that dude is dumb as sh*t.

6. Evil Con Carne

A spin-off from “Grim and Evil”, the series revolves around a once handsome crime lord who was bent on world domination. However, a chance encounter with an enemy results in his body exploding. With the rest of his body scattered all over the world, all that remains is Hector’s brain and stomach. With the assistance of scientist Dr. Ghastly, Hector continues toward world conquest. While also searching the world for the rest of his body parts.

Growing up and watching Grim and Evil beautifully extend to two shows, I’ve followed Hector since the very beginning.

Half the time I keep forgetting he’s supposed to be the bad guy.

I mean, when you’re literally a brain and stomach strapped to a circus bear, it’s hard to be taken seriously.

The only one I find serious enough has to be General Skarr. I am SO glad he “crossed over” to The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy!

5. Pinky and the Brain

Originally a side gag in Animaniacs, Pinky and Brain feature in their own spin-off! Now that the spotlight shines on them, they will finally have more time to do what they do best: PLAN TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

One is a genius. The other’s insane.

If you thought Mandark from Dexter’s lab represented the true evil scientist trope, you are sadly mistaken. That guy's inventions don’t even come close to global proportions the way Brain’s have.

You know what’s really funny?

Brain is obviously an antagonist. And we keep rooting for the bad guy to win.

If you think about it, Brain could actually do some good running things compared to our current leaders.

Does anyone remember that time Elmira from Tiny Toon Adventures actually had a short series with these two?

Yeah, me neither. Let’s keep it that way.

4. Helluva Boss

If you’ve watched Hazbin Hotel, then be sure to check out it’s spin-off series. It revolves around a group of Imps who run an “assassination business”. Blitz-o is the head of the operation. His two employees, married couple Moxie and Millie, are his go-to backup. And there’s his no-nonsense, easily-tempered adopted teen daughter Loona, who works as the receptionist. As long as you got the money, they’re eager to put a bullet through anyone’s head.

I was not interested in Hazbin Hotel.

But I did not know what to expect when a friend practically begged me to watch Episode 2: “Loo Loo Land” of Helluva Boss.

I never imagined Hell to be so...livable.

But then again, so is New Jersey.

Blitzo is obviously a bad guy who makes money killing people. And his best client is literally the Prince of Hell.

Yet why do I feel so connected to him and everyone else in Helluva Boss?

Maybe we’re all demons deep down. After all, just like Heaven, Hell can be a place on Earth.

3. Drawn Together

Cartoon characters from different genres are housed together for a reality show. What really happens when crossovers come to life? You’re probably going to stick to fanart and fanfiction once you see these guys interact.

“They’re ALL evil!!” a friend said when I mentioned this show getting added to the list.

And boy, he’s not wrong.

I was too young to understand how bad this show was. I was mainly thinking “Oh, my god! This is the best crossover ever!”.

None of the main characters are good people. Their intentions are borderline psychotic. And their actions leave a massive kill count.

They’ll even kill each other just for a quick buck. And I know for a fact Captain Hero would do it...since he’s responsible for the destruction of his home planet.

If there was a trope for “Evil Disney Princess”, it would be Clara.

She gives the Westboro Baptist Church a run for its money with the way her “God-loving intentions” have practically harmed mankind.

At least South Park was funny! No wonder this made Mr. Enter’s Animated Atrocities.

2. League of Super Evil

Three wannabe evildoers and their hellhound tackle their suburban neighborhood. Hoping to one day rise as the most evil masterminds of the world, it’s a little hard when no one, not even kids, take them seriously. They can’t even take each other seriously!

An actually good Canadian show that blessed Cartoon Network for such a short time.

We have goofy villains in Disney and almost every supposed antagonist in Spongebob.

But man, Voltar and his crew really know how to embarrass themselves! Not even the other bad guys view them as bad guys!

And that’s why this show is so funny!

1. Invader Zim

In an attempt to get rid of him, the Almighty Tallest send chaos-loving Zim on a “mission no other Irken has ever received”. They send him to Earth. Believing he’s been honored with such a task, Zim disguises himself as a human and infiltrates an Earthen elementary school. He fools everyone except for one paranormal-obsessed boy, who vows to expose him one way or another.

Yes, he’s the bad guy of the show.

Then why do we want him to take over the world SO badly?

Then again, maybe taking over the Earth won’t be such a bad thing. He’d definitely do a better job than whoever the hell is running things right now.
