What are the best and worst collab weapons in HoloCure?
HoloCure - Save the Fans! Is a popular free rogue-like PC game in the style of Vampire Survivors featuring VTubers from the Hololive VTuber agency. The game offers numerous weapons the player can collect and utilize, with many pairs of weapons able to be combined into even more powerful collab weapons.
With new collabs on the horizon in the upcoming 0.7 update, let's see how the 23 current collabs in the 0.6 version compare with one another from best to worst.
S Tier (These are the most useful collabs. Most of them can be used to form extra powerful super collab weapons, and they are all great weapons on their own. You will generally want at least one of these every run):
Elite Cooking (92/100)
Dragon Breath (90/100)
Snow Flower Sake (89/100)
Idol Concert (88/100)
Rap Dog (86/100)
A Tier (Great collabs that offer excellent damage or utility. Perfect to slot into most builds):
Frozen Sea (85/100)
Lightning Weiner (84/100)
Broken Dreams (84/100)
MiComet (84/100)
BL Fujoshi (83/100)
Bone Bros (82/100)
Ring of Fitness (81/100)
B Tier (Collabs that are either average in usefulness or excel mostly with specific characters or builds):
Crescent Bardiche (79/100)
Flattening Board (79/100)
Legendary Sausage (77/100)
MiKorone (76/100)
I'm Die, Thank You Forever (74/100)
Stream of Tears (73/100)
Breathe In Type Asacoco (72/100)
C Tier (Collabs of limited usefulness. Some can be good with very specific builds or characters but typically it's better to choose a different option):
Eldritch Horror (69/100)
Absolute Wall (68/100)
Light Beam (68/100)
Curse Ball (65/100)
1. Elite Cooking (S Tier 92/100)
Elite Cooking is the collab formed by combining the Spider Cooking and Elite Lava Bucket weapons. It attacks by creating large pools of miasma that stack and gradually damage all enemies unlucky enough to walk through them.
As both of its constituent weapons are available right from the start, it is among the first collabs the player can encounter. Despite this, it tops this list in terms of usefulness. This is largely due to the fact that it is required, alongside the Uber Sheep item, to create Jingisukan, the most useful of the game's four super collabs. Even on its own, however, it's a more than worthy addition to your arsenal. Since the miasma pools stack, it can end up doing incredibly high amounts of damage. It has a very large area of effect that is generally centralized around the player character, making it excellent for crowd control.
Why Elite Cooking is S Tier:
- Forming it and having level 5 Uber Sheep and a golden hammer will allow you to create Jingisukan, the most useful super collab, especially for defense and healing oriented characters
- The damage output is very good, especially when the pools start to stack.
- The area of effect is quite large and usually forms around the player, making it great for managing large hordes of enemies.
- It pairs well with Knightly Milk for even larger miasma pools.
- Attack speed doesn't cap out until the player reaches 250% Haste.
- It is a ranged attack, so the effects of Focus Shades will apply.
- Benefits from many possible enchantments, especially HitRate, Damage and Knockback. Avoid Size and Projectile as they do not work with it.
- Especially good on certain characters. Sakura Miko gets additional size due to her Elite skill. Akai Haato will have additional damage due to her Worldwide Strongest Idol skill.
2. Dragon Fire (S Tier 90/100)
Dragon Fire is the collab formed by combining the Plug Type Asacoco and Fan Beam weapons. It shoots a constant stream of fire in the direction the player aims.
As Plug Type Asacoco is a starter weapon and the Fan Beam only needs the player to defeat the mid boss of Stage 1 to unlock, Dragon Fire is easily accessible. Much like Elite Cooking, what gives it the edge over many other options is that it is among the four lucky weapons that can be used to make a super collab, in this case Holy Fire if the player grabs the Gorilla Paw. As is though Dragon Fire stands out as an incredibly useful collab, offering a great source of directed single target damage that can help the player conquer difficult bosses quickly. It has an incredibly high rate of fire, making it combine well with any character skills that activate on hit. It also provides solid knock back that can be used defensively.
Why Dragon Fire is S Tier:
- Forming it and having level 3 Gorilla Paw and a golden hammer will allow you to create Holy Fire, a useful super collab for pure DPS characters
- The attack is aimed and concentrated, making it perfect for decimating specific targets like bosses.
- Notably high rate of fire makes it perfect for triggering on hit effects from character skills. Do note however the rate of fire can not be increased further, so items and skills that increase Haste are wasted on it.
- Its high attack frequency also makes it a notably great choice for crit builds.
- It is a multi shot attack, so the effects of Focus Shades will apply and its DPS can be increased with additional projectiles from a Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz skill.
- Benefits from many other enchantments, especially Damage and Crit Damage. Avoid Cooldown as it will have no effect.
3. Snow Flower Sake (S Tier 89/100)
Snow Flower Sake is the collab formed by combining the Wamy Water and Glowstick weapons. It attacks by throwing multiple bottles that explode into massive snowflake formations that damage and temporarily freeze enemies
Players can encounter this one fairly early as well, as Glowstick is another starting weapon and Wammy Water can be unlocked simply by clearing any stage with the Sake item in your inventory. As with the two above it, its high placement is largely owed to it having a potential super collab, in this case the Snow Queen, which also requires the Sake item. The standard collab is also quite excellent though. The freeze status it applies at a rate of 30 percent per attack makes it exceptional for slowing down hordes and making them more manageable. It covers a large area and does a good amount of damage too.
Why Snow Flower Sake is S Tier:
- Forming it and having level 3 Sake and a golden hammer enables the creation of Snow Queen, the ideal super collab choice for crit based characters.
- Almost a third of all hits freeze enemies. This makes it remarkably good for slowing down hordes and making them easier to maneuver and manage.
- The snowflakes are quite large, covering much of the screen, and they do great damage in addition to freezing
- Attack speed doesn't cap until 234% Haste is achieved. Do note that Snow Queen is unaffected by Haste though if you're planning to upgrade.
- It is a multi shot attack, so DPS can be greatly magnified by increasing projectiles through enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz skill. Do note that Snow Queen is a ranged attack though, so it will lose these benefits if you plan to upgrade. Both are compatible with Focus Shades
- With the above two points in mind, Projectile and Cooldown are the best enchantments if you don't plan on upgrading and Damage and Crit Damage are best if you do. Either way, avoid Size as it will only increase the size of the bottles thrown and not the snowflakes.
4. Idol Concert (S Tier 88/100)
Idol Concert is the collab formed by combining the Glowstick and Idol Song weapons. It causes the player character to regularly throw eight glowsticks in a circle around them which explode into music notes after traveling a certain distance.
Discovering this collab might take some time as you must unlock IRyS in the character gacha and survive a run with her for at least ten minutes to unlock Idol Song. Once again the high placement is largely due to the possibility of trading it in for a super collab, in this case Idol Live with the addition of the Idol Costume item. Idol Concert on its own is still a good collab though, offering consistent damage over a wide area of effect. The attack pattern stays centered around the player character and it has a natural knockback effect, making it a good defensive option that can thin out hordes and keep you safer.
Why Idol Concert is S Tier:
- Forming it and having level 5 Idol Costume and a golden hammer lets you create Idol Live, the best super collab for characters and builds that focus on using your special as much as possible.
- It's an all around solid attack option, with good damage potential and area of effect.
- It has innate knockback and always surrounds your character, helping you feel protected.
- Attack speed can be increased, not capping out until 200% haste is achieved.
- It is a ranged attack, so the effect of Focus Shades will apply.
- It responds well to size increasing effects such as from Knightly Milk.
- Other than Projectile, which it can inherit from Glowstick, all enchantments are compatible and will benefit it
5. Rap Dog (S Tier 86/100)
Rap Dog is the collab formed by combining the X-Potato and Idol Song weapons. It throws potatoes out that bounce all across the screen dealing damage to enemies and reducing their defense before exploding.
Finding this collab could take some time as both the weapons used to create it are locked behind surviving ten minutes with characters that have to be unlocked in the gacha, Inugami Korone and IRyS. It's definitely worth the trouble though, as Rap Dog is good enough that it is the only collab I've placed at S rank that does not have a corresponding super collab it can become. The attacks move fast, barreling through enemies with no hit limit, and will cover nearly the entire screen. The true magic of Rap Dog though is the debuff it leaves behind. Every enemy hit by the potatoes will be debuffed so they take 20% more damage. With this in mind, not only is Rap Dog an effective weapon, but it will make all your other weapons more effective as well.
Why Rap Dog is S Tier:
- The defense debuff it applies is on every enemy it hits and will make all your weapons, including Rap Dog itself, do more damage.
- The potatoes move fast, bounce a lot, get around to most of the screen and do good damage, especially when they explode.
- Attack speed can be increased near limitlessly, apparently not reaching a cap until 2234% Haste, a number basically impossible to reach if playing the game normally.
- It is a ranged attack, so the effects of Focus Shades apply.
- Size increasing effects like Knightly Milk work nicely with it for bigger potatoes.
- Other than Projectile which can be inherited from the X-Potato, all enchantments work with it.
- The potatoes have sunglasses, which is amusing.
6. Frozen Sea (A Tier 85/100)
Frozen Sea is the collab formed by combining the BL Book and Wamy Water weapons. It creates a ring of books around the player character that fire an endless barrage of icicles at enemies, dealing damage and reducing movement speed.
Frozen Sea is fairly easy to unlock as the BL Book is a default weapon and Wamy Water requires only for the player to complete a run with the Sake item. It is a high utility collab mainly as it not only does good consistent damage, but it slows down targets. The debuff is noticeable and can make the critical difference against tough hordes. The books also constantly spin around you, creating a line of defense.
Why Frozen Sea is A Tier:
- Slow is a great debuff that can help make hordes feel more manageable.
- Attack rate is consistent and it does good damage.
- The books constantly encircle you, creating a barrier of defense.
- The weapon is multi shot, so DPS can be increased by adding more books with the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua' Klutz. It's also compatible with Focus Shades.
- Can benefit from most enchantments. Avoid Coodown though as Frozen Sea's attack speed cannot be increased. Also, Size will only increase book size, not the icicle size.
7. Lightning Weiner (A Tier 84/100)
Lightning Weiner is the collab formed by combining the Plug Type Asacoco and Sausage weapons. It sends weiners flying into enemies that call down lightning strikes when they connect.
The Sausage weapon requires completing the difficult Stage 4 to unlock, so Lightning Weiner and its other collab are likely to be among the last collabs the player is able to make. It is a satisfying and powerful attack that has a naturally high attack rate. It aims automatically so the player doesn't need to think about it and can target enemies all over the screen.
Why Lightning Weiner is A Tier:
- Great source of consistent DPS all over the screen.
- Weiners auto aim and have no hit limit. There is a half second cooldown on how often they call down lightning, but even with that factored in you can expect many strikes per weiner if dealing with large waves of enemies.
- The weapon is multi shot, so you can increase the number of weiners with the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz. Focus Shades is also compatible.
- Can benefit from all enchantments. Do note that Lightning Weiner's attack speed caps at just 25% Haste though, so Cooldown may have limited or no effect when playing characters with Haste boosting skills, if you have the Candy Kingdom Sweets or Energy Drink item or if multiple Haste upgrades are purchased.
- It is conceptually very amusing.
8. Broken Dreams (A Tier 84/100)
Broken Dreams is the collab formed by combining the CEO Tears and Spider Cooking weapons. It summons both a large bubble around the player that damages and slows down all enemies that enter it while and a damaging rain that falls all across the screen.
The player must complete Stage 2 for the CEO Tears, so while not the most difficult collab to unlock its not the most immediate either. It's a unique collab, essentially supplying two separate attack patterns, both of which are useful. The rain does steady damage all around the screen. The bubble meanwhile makes for a great last line of defense as it covers the area immediately surrounding your character and will slow down the enemies closest to you.
Why Broken Dreams is A Tier:
- The rain falls all over the screen and does good damage.
- The bubble protects you by slowing down and further damaging the enemies nearest to you
- The weapon is a multi shot. Increasing projectiles with the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz will increase the amount of rainfall. Focus Shades is also compatible.
- Attack speed can be increased up to 1043% Haste, a number you're unlikely to achieve other than through Hakos Baelz's Absolute Chaos special. Do note that the speed of the rain fall is not what is directly increasing with Haste, however, but rather the speed of the entire attack animation. It will eventually lead to overlapping bubbles and rain.
- Can benefit from all enchantments.
9. MiComet (A Tier 84/100)
MiComet is the collab formed by combining the Elite Lava Bucket and Psycho Axe weapons. It causes comets to rain down on the screen, dealing impact damage and leaving behind large lava pools that damage enemies walking through them.
MiComet is one of the collabs players may encounter from the start as both weapons it requires are already available. Much like Elite Cooking though, it is not an option to be forgotten as more collabs become available. It can effect the entire screen and does consistently high damage. The player can stand in the lava pools for a bit of safety when necessary.
Why MiComet is A Tier:
- Great DPS all over the screen.
- Lava pools are much larger than those from Elite Lava Bucket and can be used strategically for defense if needed.
- It is a ranged attack and thus compatible with Focus Shades.
- Attack speed can be increased until 1100% Haste, a number the player is unlikely to achieve other than through Hakos Baelz's Absolute Chaos special.
- Can benefit from all enchantments other than Projectile which it can inherit from Elite Lava Bucket. Size is especially good for even larger lava pools.
- Great on specific characters. Gets extra size from Sakura Miko's Elite skill and will have a chance to heal while defeating enemies through Hoshimachi Suisei's Suicopath skill.
10. BL Fujoshi (A Tier 83/100)
BL Fujoshi is the collab formed by combining the BL Book and Psycho Axe weapons. It encircles the player character with constant fast spinning rings of both books and axes.
This is another collab made from weapons available right from the start. It's effective and reliable, cutting through enemies with ease. It offers two layers of damage surrounding your character, helping you feel well protected.
Why BL Fujoshi is A Tier:
- Consistent high DPS source over the area of effect.
- Two layers of attacks can help the player feel insulated and protected.
- Is considered a melee type attack, meaning it will do bonus damage with the Ninja Headband. It can also benefit from the Cutting Deep skill when playing as Anya Melfissa.
- Can benefit from all enchantments other than Projectile, which it can inherit from BL Book and Cooldown (attack speed of BL Fujoshi cannot be increased).
- If playing as Hoshimachi Suisei it will have a chance to heal when defeating enemies thanks to the Suicopath skill.
11. Bone Bros (82/100 A Tier)
Bone Bros is the collab formed by the combination of the EN Curse and Cutting Board weapons. It simultaneously fires a constant stream of blades in the direction the player character is facing and a stream of bullets in the opposite direction.
To make the collab, Cutting Board can be unlocked fairly quickly just by surviving ten minutes on any stage with starter character Ninomae Ina'nis, but EN Curse requires the completion of Stage 3, which may take longer. This collab offers great directed damage that can be focused into specific enemies to defeat them quickly, similar to Dragon Fire. It's not as rapid as Dragon Fire, but it has a wider area of effect in the front and also attacks enemies behind you. It is a great option, but do note that if playing on Endless Mode it is advised to avoid collabs using EN Curse so that it can be taken to fill your final weapon slot after four collabs are created as its uncollabed form will do significantly more DPS than Bone Bros or its other collabed forms in the late stages of an Endless run.
Why Bone Bros is A Tier:
- Another directed collab that can help you concentrate on tough enemies like bosses to kill them quickly.
- Attacks both in front and behind, reducing the possibility of enemies sneaking up on you.
- Though not as rapid as Dragon Fire, it still has a very fast rate of fire. Unlike Dragon Fire, this can be increased as well, up until 200% Haste is reached.
- It is a multi shot attack, so it can gain more projectiles through the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz skill. Focus Shades is also compatible.
- All enchantments benefit it.
- Loses points as it is not the best option for Endless runs, where EN Curse should be saved to fill the final weapon slot after you have four collabs.
- Also note that if you took Cutting Board because you were playing a character who receives the size bonus using it, unlike the other collabed forms, Bone Bros does not retain the bonus.
12. Ring of Fitness (81/100 A Tier)
Ring of Fitness is the collab that is formed by combining the CEO Tears and Bounce Ball weapons. It causes rings of damaging bouncy balls to regularly fire off from the player character.
To make this collab, CEO Tears is unlocked by clearing Stage 2 but Bounce Ball is a bit more complicated, requiring the player to first unlock the Cutting Board weapon and then survive to ten minutes with the Cutting Board on a character who receives its bonus size effect (Gawr Gura, Ninomae Ina'nis, Hoshimachi Suisei, Natsuiro Matsuri, Murasaki Shion, Kureiji Ollie, Kobo Kanaeru). The balls generated by this attack are numerous, move fast, bounce a lot and deal great consistent damage across the screen. Since they spawn from the player character in a ring, they also contribute to defense. Ball size is variable and determined by a hidden number 1-5 associated with each character (corresponding to their 'bounciness') just as it is with the base Bounce Ball, but in the current version of the game Ring of Fitness oddly gives bonus size and damage to characters who have the smallest size grade for Bounce Ball.
Why Ring of Fitness is A Tier:
- Fires lots of balls which move fast, cover the screen and deal lots of DPS.
- Balls start and are more concentrated around the player character, so it can help you feel defended.
- Attack speed increases up to 650% Haste.
- It is a multi shot attack, so the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz skill will give you more balls. It is also compatible with Focus Shades.
- All enchantments can benefit it, though the effect of Size is notably slight.
- Size depends on character. Ouro Kronii, Tsukumo Sana, Yuzuki Choco and Pavolia Reine get the biggest size. Calliope Mori, Akai Haato, Yozora Mel and Moona Hoshinova also get larger than average balls.
- Possibly in error, Gawr Gura, Ninomae Ina'nis, Hoshimachi Suisei, Natsuiro Matsuri, Murasaki Shion, Kureiji Ollie, Kobo Kanaeru, who should have the smallest sized balls (and do with the base Bounce Ball) wind up with average sized balls that actually have a 20% damage buff.
13. Crescent Bardiche (79/100 B Tier)
Crescent Bardiche is the collab formed by combining the Psycho Axe and Idol Song weapons. It causes the player to repeatedly swing a large polearm in front of them as stars also fall around the field. Critical hits by the bardiche itself do extra damage.
For Idol Song the player will have to unlock IRyS in the character gacha and survive a run to ten minutes, after which this collab will be possible. Similar to Broken Dreams it creates two attack patterns, a star rain that attacks enemies all around the screen and a bardiche swing that can be aimed and directed by the player. The bardiche attack is the main source of damage in this case and it can do incredibly big numbers, especially with a crit build that can capitalize on its special effect of added crit damage
Why Crescent Bardiche is B Tier:
- The bardiche swing is the main damage source, but the star rain means that you're still doing DPS to enemies other than your active target.
- Damage from the bardiche is very high, especially if playing with a crit build. Crits from the bradiche do 1.5x crit damage.
- The attack speed cap has been calculated to an impossible 5901% Haste.
- It is a melee weapon, so Ninja Headband and Anya Melfissa's Cutting Deep skill will increase its DPS. Unfortunately it is unaffected by Focus Shades, one of the best item options for crit builds.
- All enchantments it can inherit can benefit it.
- It is largely only the best choice on crit based characters who also have a melee main weapon such as Hoshimachi Suisei for whom it will also have a chance to provide healing when defeating enemies thanks to the Suicopath skill.
14. Flattening Board (B Tier 79/100)
Flattening Board is the collab formed by combining the Cutting Board and Holo Bomb weapons. It causes giant exploring cutting boards to rain down from the sky all across the sky, with a chance to briefly stagger enemies by flattening them
It can be achieved fairly early on by unlocking the Cutting Board, which only requires surviving to ten minutes with starter character Ninomae Ina'nis. Though formerly one of the best collabs in the game, Flattening Board has been heavily nerfed in the past two updates. As it is now it is still a very good option, providing consistent DPS and slowing enemies down, but it is only a top tier choice on the very specific characters who get bonus damage and size from it or if playing as Tsukumo Sana or doing a run with Knightly Milk.
Why Flattening Board is B Tier:
- Boards fall all over the screen and do significant damage.
- Flattening the enemies slows them down and is good for crowd control.
- Reaches its attack speed cap at 300% Haste.
- It is a multi shot attack, so attack frequency can be enhanced with the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz skill. Focus Shades is also compatible.
- All enchantments can benefit it. Size is the best option though.
- Its effectiveness is greatly increased by size increases either through enchantment, Tsukumo Sana's Speaker of Space or Knightly Milk.
- If you use it while playing Gawr Gura, Ninomae Ina'nis, Hoshimachi Suisei, Natsuiro Matsuri, Murasaki Shion, Kureiji Ollie, or Kobo Kanaeru you will receive a noticeable bonus to both size and damage. This makes it a top tier choice for these seven while for others it's a bit more average
15. Legendary Sausage (B Tier 77/100)
Legendary Sausage is the collab formed by combining the BL Book and Sausage weapons. It causes a massive duck-headed sausage to spiral around the player character, increasing in speed as they walk.
As Sausage requires the player to clear Stage 4 to unlock, this is likely to be one of the last collabs seen. It can do effective damage and keep the area immediately around you safe and clear. It's best when paired with the Ninja Headband item which will increase its damage and give the player more speed to move around with. Otherwise the attack area is somewhat limited for a collab and the fact that you must always be moving to keep its spin speed up make it not the best fit for all characters.
Why Legendary Sausage is B Tier:
- Does great damage in the area immediately surrounding the player character which can help keep enemies away from you.
- The base attack speed cannot be raised as much as a lot of other options, capping out at 67% Haste. To keep practical attack speed maxed, the player must always stay in motion.
- It is a melee weapon so its DPS will increase with Ninja Headband or Anya Melfissa's Cutting Deep skill. It pairs especially well with Ninja Headband, which also grants movement speed.
- It can benefit from all enchantments other than Projectile which it can inherit from Plug Type Asacoco.
- If you are playing a mobile melee character and Ninja Headband is part of your build, it is an optimal choice. Otherwise there are better options.
- It looks absolutely ridiculous.
16. MiKorone (B Tier 76/100)
MiKorone is the collab formed by combining the Elite Lava Bucket and X-Potato weapons. It throws flaming potatoes at enemies, lighting them on fire and causing lava pools to generate under them.
To get this collab, you must first unlock Inugami Korone in the character gacha and survive ten minutes in a run with her to unlock the X-Potato. It is very comparable to the MiComet collab and likely does more damage per attack to the enemies it hits. Part of that damage is the burn damage which is applied over time, however, which can make it feel a bit slower. The lava pools that it generates are also quite small and thus have less utility than the massive ones from MiComet, though they do stack for good additional damage.
Why MiKorone is B Tier:
- It has very high damage potential, as an enemy hit by it will take impact damage, burn damage and then lava damage. The latter two are gradual though and can make it feel slow compared to other options.
- The lava pools are really small. Even though they do tend to stack nicely, they have less utility than those generated by MiComet or even the Elite Lava Bucket.
- Attack speed can be increased with Haste up to 392%
- It is a multi shot attack, so the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz skill will increase the number of potatoes thrown. Focus Shades is also compatible.
- All enchantments can benefit it.
- There are better main collabs to shoot for, but it's a really solid option when looking for a third or fourth collab to fill out your build.
17. I'm Die, Thank You Forever (B Tier 74/100)
I'm Die, Thank You Forever is the collab formed by combining the Holo Bomb and X-Potato weapons. It generates time bombs which latch onto enemies and explode when that enemy is defeated, doing massive damage to everything on screen.
X-Potato must be unlocked via obtaining Inugami Korone in the gacha and surviving ten minutes with her to use this collab. It is immensely satisfying to watch the bombs go off and spread across the screen so it wins a lot of points for simple fun factor. It's sadly not the most practical collab though due to you needing to kill the enemies with bombs to activate the attack. There can be times when its DPS will sharply decline, notably when the hordes thin out during tough boss fights or at any point the player falls behind the damage curve and stops killing enemies fast enough. If you are able to consistently kill enemies quickly though it can be quite strong.
Why I'm Die, Thank You Forever is B Tier:
- The bombs do heavy damage when they go off. If you are ahead of the damage curve and reliably trigger the explosions the DPS is great, especially since every explosion covers the entire screen.
- If you're dealing with a boss and there aren't many enemies on screen or if you fall behind the damage curve, its DPS will nose dive as it will be harder to trigger explosions.
- Attack speed can be increased until you reach 198% Haste.
- It's considered a ranged attack, so Focus Shades is compatible.
- Has one of the game's most satisfying attack animations.
- Best used to supplement other more consistent collabs in your build as your third or fourth collab.
18. Stream of Tears (B Tier 72/100)
Stream of Tears is the collab formed by combining the CEO Tears and Fan Beam weapons. It fires a beam centered around the player character that reaches from one side of the screen to the other and spins counter clockwise.
To unlock this collab the player must have completed Stage 2. It is a powerful attack that extends simultaneously in two directions from the player character. The beam is not that wide though leaving you vulnerable from many angles at any given time. Its moderate attack speed, which cannot be increased at all, also leaves it feeling a bit underwhelming compared to other options.
Why Stream of Tears is B Tier:
- The beam does heavy damage and targets two sides of the player character as it spins, but is a bit too thin to feel super useful.
- The spin is a little slow and there is no way to increase the speed as it is unaffected by the Haste stat or the Cooldown enchantment.
- It's a ranged attack, meaning Focus Shades is compatible.
- Other than Cooldown and Projectile, which can be inherited through CEO Tears, all enchantments will benefit it.
- Best used to supplement better collabs if at all.
19. Breathe-In Type Asacoco (B Tier 71/100)
Breathe-In Type Asacoco is the collab formed by combining the Plug Type Asacoco and Holo Bomb weapons. Causes the player character to throw gas bombs that explode and damage enemies around the stream.
This collab is the last of the ones that can be made right from the start. The damage output is solid, but the area of effect takes some getting used to as the bombs are thrown always upwards so they'll always connect with enemies above you first. Moreover, the attack animation is fairly bland compared to most other collabs making the other options more appealing. Early on when there aren't many options available it's a good supplementary collab, but it lacks utility.
Why Breathe-In Type Asacoco is B Tier:
- Respectable DPS even if the attack area is unbalanced.
- Attack speed can be increased, but only up to 125% Haste.
- It's multi shot, meaning the number of explosions will increase with the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz skill. Focus Shades is also compatible.
- All enchantments can benefit it.
- It has a dull attack animation compared to other collabs making it less desirable.
- Best used as a supplementary collab in the early game.
20. Eldritch Horror (C Tier 69/100)
Eldritch Horror is the collab formed by combining the Spider Cooking and EN Curse weapons. It periodically summons giant wriggling whirlpools of madness that can life-steal HP from enemies they defeat.
To unlock this collab complete Stage 3 for the EN Curse. Eldritch Horror is an odd one to rate. It is powerful, actually being the only collab that was buffed for the .6 update, it has a good utility in the life-steal effect and it has unarguably one of the coolest attack animations of all the collabs. The problem, however, is that it's just not a practical option in the .6 version of the game. When it debuted in the .5 update, it was an optimal choice for any healing centric character, and especially Yozora Mel, whose Genius Vampire skill triggers on life-steals. The .6 update introduced Jingisukan, however, which is immediately a much better option for all healing-centric characters, especially Mel, or to add healing utility to any build. The two cannot both be used in the same run as they both require Spider Cooking. Furthermore, the collab uses EN Curse, which if you are playing on Endless Mode it is recommended to not collab but rather choose for your final weapon after forming four collabs due to its superior DPS potential when enemies overlap.
Why Eldritch Horror is C Tier:
- In a vacuum it's a great collab. It looks cool, does good damage over big areas and heals you.
- Attack speed can be increased up to 225% Haste.
- It is a ranged attack, so Focus Shades is compatible.
- All enchantments can benefit it.
- Sadly it was made redundant by the introduction of Jingisukan to the game. Every character or build that synergizes with it is much better served by Jingisukan and the two are not compatible as they both require Spider Cooking.
- Its use of EN Curse also makes it a bad choice for Endless Mode, where the curse is best reserved for your final weapon slot after four collabs are formed.
21. Absolute Wall (C Tier 68/100)
Absolute Wall is the collab formed by combining the Bounce Ball and Cutting Board weapons. It creates a solid square barrier around the player character that does damage to and knocks back enemies that touch it. It can also stop enemy projectiles.
To make this collab, survive for ten minutes with Ninomae Ina'nis to unlock Cutting Board and then survive ten minutes in a run with the Cutting Board while playing one of the characters who gets its bonus for Bounce Ball. This is the game's most defensive collab, and does have some cool utility like blocking a percentage of annoying enemy projectiles. To actually do decent damage with the shield though the player is expected to do constant circular movements so their character spins. This can be tiring and the effort ultimately doesn't feel worth it. The collab receives additional size and damage when utilized by Gawr Gura, Ninomae Ina'nis, Hoshimachi Suisei, Natsuiro Matsuri, Murasaki Shion, Kureiji Ollie, or Kobo Kanaeru, the characters who get extra size and damage from Cutting Board. Size bonuses from Bounce Ball are not inherited by this collab.
Why Absolute Wall is C Tier:
- It has a ten percent chance to block enemy projectiles, which are annoying and can only be destroyed otherwise with the Pacifist Stamp.
- It is an effective deterrent but can feel limited in DPS potential.
- It does not react to haste. To increase its rate of attack, you must manually spin your character constantly which is tiring and can limit the effectiveness of any directional weapons you might have.
- Other than Cooldown and Projectile, which it can inherit from Bounce Ball, all enchantments can benefit it.
- It is a melee weapon, so damage output can be increased via the Ninja Headband or Anya Melfissa's Cutting Deep skill.
- On Gawr Gura, Ninomae Ina'nis, Hoshimachi Suisei, Natsuiro Matsuri, Murasaki Shion, Kureiji Ollie, or Kobo Kanaeru size and damage will be increased.
- Its attack output is generally low enough that other options are recommended first for most builds, but if a player is really struggling to avoid projectiles it could have some utility.
22. Light Beam (C Tier 68/100)
Light Beam is the collab formed by combining the Fan Beam and Glowstick weapons. It causes the player character to regularly throw glowsticks that fire laser beams at enemies.
This collab can be unlocked early on as the Fan Beam only requires the player to defeat the mid boss of Stage 1. This attack feels fairly average. The beams do good damage and auto aim at enemies. Attack speed is good and can be increased. The attack lacks much to distinguish it however. Furthermore, it has the unfortunate issue where its attack animation is unnecessarily flashy and if playing on a Steam Deck or a less powerful PC, it more than anything else in the game can lead to noticeable slow downs.
Why Light Beam is C Tier:
- Solid DPS, attacks frequently and targets a lot of enemies.
- Attack speed can be increased up until 400% Haste is reached.
- It's a multi shot weapon, so you can increase damage greatly with the Projectile enchantment or Minato Aqua's Klutz skill. Focus Shades is also compatible.
- All enchantments can benefit it.
- Its biggest problem is the game lag it might cause if you do not have a powerful PC.
- If you do not experience any slow down, it's probably closer to a middle of the road B Tier option.
23. Curse Ball (C Tier 65/100)
Curse Ball is the collab formed by combining the EN Curse and Bounce Ball weapons. Every so often a giant ball will be created that emits damaging curse energy at nearby enemies. If the player character touches the ball, they will send it flying through enemies, damaging them and extending the time the ball spends on the field.
This collab is a bit tricky to achieve as the player must survive ten minutes with Ninomae Ina'nis to unlock the Cutting Board, use the Cutting Board in a run lasting ten minutes with any of the characters who receive its bonus to unlock Bounce Ball and complete Stage 3 to unlock EN Curse. It is the most complicated and unwieldy of the collabs in the game. Where many of the best collabs attack automatically without the player needing to worry over them, Curse Ball forces the player to keep track of and chase balls around constantly if they wish to maximize its damage output. If the player doesn't kick the balls around, they will still do damage but their DPS will be limited. While some may find it fun to play with, for most this collab is just more needless trouble than it's worth.
Why Curse Ball is C Tier:
- If you kick the balls frequently and get many to stick around on screen at once, the DPS can actually get really high.
- The effort it requires simply isn't worth it when so many of the other options do great damage without needing the player to do anything.
- You can increase the speed at which new balls spawn by increasing Haste up to 120%.
- It's ranged, so Focus Shades is compatible.
- All enchantments other than Projectile which it can inherit from Bounce Ball will benefit it.
- It keeps the size bonuses from Bounce Ball, so the balls will be especially massive if playing Ouro Kronii, Tsukumo Sana, Yuzuki Choco and Pavolia Reine and very large when playing Calliope Mori, Akai Haato, Yozora Mel and Moona Hoshinova.
- It's also another collab using EN Curse, which is recommended to be left uncollabed as your final weapon if playing on Endless Mode.
