Foes in My Time at Sandrock come in all forms and will stand in your way as you try to rebuild Sandrock to its former glory. Fortunately, there are many weapons that you can collect or craft to aid you in eliminating them from your path.
But which weapons are the strongest? In this article, we’ll cover which weapons you should strive to get your hands on if you want to have the easiest time defeating all of the mutants, bandits, and whatever else that will stand in your way.
We’ll be ranking the weapons for convenience and counting down from number 10.
10. Motivational Hammer
Big jobs require big weapons. In this case, a huge hammer
One of the more commonly found weapons in Sandrock, you might just be lucky enough to acquire this bulky, slow but hard-hitting weapon early on in the game. A builder with a Motivational Hammer is sure to send foes flying with a few swings.
This weapon is great for:
- The early game. There is a chance of acquiring a Motivational Hammer by clearing the last level of the Hazardous Ruins of The Breach.
- Those who enjoy the satisfying feeling of hitting slow but hard.
- Gifting to Hugo the local Blacksmith. If you own several Motivational Hammers, some of the townsfolk will appreciate you if you give them one. The local blacksmith Hugo in particular would love you if you spare one to him.

9. Coltrane 45

The Coltrane 45 is one of several wacky weapons found in the game. This musical gun is given as a reward after donating enough items to the museum, and not only does it hit hard, it makes musical sounds while doing so!
This weapon is great for:
- Shotgun enthusiasts. Despite its confusing look, the Coltrane 45 functions as a shotgun, getting less accurate the further you stray from your target, but hitting harder the closer you get.
- Those that have plenty of shotgun shells for use as ammunition.
- Museum donors. If you love donating to the museum, you’ll have access to this powerful gun in no time.

- Those that cannot decide between a melee weapon or a ranged weapon. The Hand of the Light functions both as a melee weapon and a ranged weapon.
- Those who want to try a unique weapon. There is no other weapon like the Hand of the Light.
- Those who aspire to be as cool as the character that they defeated to attain it.

7. Altair RX-67

The Altair RX-67 is forged from a broken sword with the help of Qi, the local scientist. Like the Hand of the Light weapon earlier on this list, it is very special in the sense that it has unique animations and attacks. It functions as both a melee and ranged weapon, making it very powerful, and even flashy!
This weapon is great for:
- Those that cannot decide between a melee weapon or a ranged weapon. The Altair RX-67 simultaneously functions as a melee weapon while sending forth beams of damaging light with each strike.
- Those who want to try a unique weapon. There is no other weapon like the Altair RX-67.
- Flashy players. It’s difficult to not be flashy when your weapon shoots out beams of blue, glowing light that slice through hordes of enemies!

- Those who enjoy shotguns. The squid gun functions as a shotgun; it is very powerful up close where all of its bullets connect, but it is inaccurate the further away the target is.
- Those who love wacky weapons. It also makes an appropriate sound!

The reward that you get for beating the first level is Hades, a sword and shield weapon type that is said to be forged in the underworld.

- Defensive players. Players that wield this weapon gain the ability to block, as with all sword and shield weapon types.
- Those who desire a demonic aesthetic. The Hades is sure to send shivers down the spines of foes!
