Half the fun in Plague Inc. is strategizing your win, and the rest comes from the victory itself. Depending on how you win and what you do to win, you can earn different achievements. This is a list of the Top 10 Plague Inc achievements and how to get them in case just winning isn’t enough for you.

10. The End Plague

Getting this achievement is the first step to greatness.

So you’ve just started out on Plague Inc. and you think you’re finally getting the hang of it. And then, lo behold, you have your first victory. Ignore everyone else beating Bio-Weapon on Mega Brutal, a victory is a victory no matter how small!

9. Brainzzzz

Combos can help you take down humanity faster than you'd think.

Even in a strategy game like Plague Inc., sometimes there is nothing to do but rely on good old fashioned luck. This is the case for combos, where you have to hope Plague Inc. blesses you with one after you’ve evolved the necessary symptoms. Combos will help you beat the game even faster and can even score you an achievement!

How to Get Brainzzzz

Get Brainzzzz by unlocking the Walking Dead Combo (combination of insomnia and anemia that makes cure research less productive).

8. Insane Bolt

Wipe out humanity as fast as you can to fill the hole in your heart, but also for this achievement.

Just because Bacteria is the starter plague, doesn’t mean that it’s the most boring (Fungus exists so…). With Bacteria you can challenge yourself to eradicate humanity in under a year, because if you’re getting rid of humanity might as well go big or go home, right? Of course, killing all of humanity that fast isn’t a walk in the park, which is why if you can, it’s an achievement!

Get Insane Bolt by winning a game with bacteria in less than 365 days.

7. Unlock Cheats

If you can prove yourself worthy, then the world of cheats will welcome you in.

If you thought you were done with Plague Inc. because you were able to beat all the standard plagues, think again. Plague Inc. offers cheat plagues, but only to players who have already beaten all plagues on Brutal. It’s not easy to do, but that’s what makes it worthwhile.

6. Worm Food

Feed humanity to the worms, though this time the worm will be inside them.

If you’re part of the breed brainy enough to beat all of the Standard Plagues on Brutal or Mega Brutal, then chances are you’ve unlocked and played Neurax Worm. This plague comes with its own set of challenges and its own set of special achievements. Can you manipulate this manipulative parasite well enough to win?

5. Assuming Direct Control

Humans are more useful alive than dead.

What makes Neurax Worm, Neurax Worm, is that there’s another way to win where humanity can be spared from death. The Neurax Worm parasite has an ability that allows it to enslave humanity’s minds and force them to worship it. Instead of becoming humanity’s executioner, become their god.

4. I’ll Be Back

Is there really a good reason not to use zombies if they're literally being handed to you on a silver platter?

Beating Neurax Worm on Brutal or Mega Brutal will get you Necroa Virus. This plague’s special feature is its zombies. Reanimating your dead will get you some useful lackeys to help you spread your plague.

3. Not Another Zombie Game

Challenge yourself a little extra by not taking advantage of your trusty zombie soldiers.

Just because you can win Necroa Virus using zombie soldiers, doesn’t mean that you have to. In fact, winning without zombies or without making a single zombie might be more challenging. There’s nothing quite like doing things the old fashioned way even if there is an infinitely more convenient option available.

2. The Future is Bright

In this case, violence is not the answer.

Another special plague you can unlock is the Simian Flu, which you can play if you’ve beaten Necroa Virus on Brutal. This plague is a little bananas because while it kills humans, it enhances the intelligence of apes. In order to get one of this plague’s achievements,, you must be willing to lose the game.

Get The Future is Bright by ending the game with humans and apes coexisting rather than humanity being wiped out.

1. Disease Master

You've got to be a different kind of Plague Inc. fanatic to get this achievement.

This achievement is probably the hardest to get. Not only must you beat all Standard Plagues on Mega Brutal, to win this bad boy you must also beat all Special Plagues on Mega Brutal. If you’re willing to sell your soul to Plague Inc. then you may be one of the few ready to try for this achievement.
