10. Artifact of Enigma
Image
Chaos is the name of the game with the Artifact of Enigma (code shown above) activated.
The Artifact of Enigma spawns you with a randomized equipment item which gets re-randomized whenever you use it. While not the most flashy or chaos inducing, this artifact can definitely create some chaos when you take into account how many and how varied the equipment items are. Equipment drones are also affected by this artifact meaning any equipment drones repaired during the run will get their equipment randomized whenever they use them. This artifact can be unlocked by finding the code in Bulwark’s Ambry, which is hidden in the Sky Meadow map, and then using this code to activate the trial.
9. Artifact of Metamorphosis
Changing charactrers each time you spawn with the Artifact of Metamorphosis (code shown above) creates a new challenge for veteran players.
This artifact causes players to spawn as a random survivor each time they spawn into a level. The Heretic and Heresy abilities also work with this artifact as long as the items needed are acquired. With Heresy in mind this artifact allows for a lot of chaos and changing item needs. While it can be a downside for certain survivors such as the Void Fiend who doesn’t do too well with healing items, it also can massively help more defenseless and squishy survivors like Huntress. The code to unlock the Artifact of Metamorphosis is split in 2, both portions being found within the Abandoned Aqueducts map.
8. Artifact of Swarms
With the amount of enemies that already spawns, adding in more with the Artifact of Swarms (unlock code pictured) is sure to maximise chaos.
Artifact of Swarms doubles the amount of enemies and monsters that spawn but cuts their max health in half. This artifact creates tons of chaos with the amount of enemies that can spawn at once, it also sparks chaos by doubling the bosses as well as the final boss of the game, Mithrix. Fighting Mithrix when it's just one of him is already difficult but fighting 2 of him adds difficulty that even more experienced players can enjoy. To unlock this artifact lookout for the stone with the inscription in Rallypoint Delta, this is the code for the trial.
7. Artifact of Spite
The Artifact of spite (code above) while being difficult to unlock, adds a fun challenge for all to enjoy.
The Artifact of Spite is one of pure chaos, upon killing an enemy they drop up to 30 bombs that bounce before detonation. Killing and setting off multiple smaller enemies is a great way to quickly get damage on a boss while staying relatively far away. The bombs that drop from the enemies have a decent proc coefficient, meaning that they have a very good chance at setting off other affects or doing higher damage. The bounce from the bombs allows them to go a further distance and opens the potiential of them hitting more enemies up. Finding the code for unlocking this is a little more difficult than the rest, it’s found in the settings screen. It’s inscribed on a tablet like almost all the others, however the rest of the background images and other things get in the way unless you either catch a screenshot at the right time, or turn off the “LOD Bias” setting.
6. Artifact of Honor
Image
While the easiest Artifact to unlock, the Artifact of Honor, (code above) adds a level of difficulty veterans will be sure to appreciate as well as skilled newcomers.
Artifact of Honor causes only enemies of Elite tiers to spawn. While this may seem a little intimidating at first because all the enemies get stat boosts, there are several items that allow you to get higher crit chances and do higher damage. As for bosses and the Lunar Chimeras, they have a chance to spawn as Tier 1 Elite which gets less boosts to their stats but still enough to make it more challenging and not entirely frustrating. This artifacts code is probably one of the easiest to find, you can find the code right next to the place where you actually input the codes in the Sky Meadow map.
5. Artifact of Death
The Artifact of Death, (code above) forces you and your teammates to work together to surivive, truly testing friendships.
Now this is an artifact that really pushes your limits with this game. This artifact makes it so when one player dies, everyone else does and it immediately ends the run. Now the one exception and the one thing that can keep the game and run going is if the player that dies has an unused “Dio’s Best Friend” then it will get used and the run continues as per normal. To find the code for this artifact you have to access a hidden cove in the Wetland Aspects map, the tablet with the inscription sits next to an altar.
4. Artifact of Vengeance
If you've ever joked about fighting yourself when facing simialr enemies, with the Artifact of Vengeance (code above) you can!
If you’ve ever wanted to try to fight clones of your character and see just how strong your builds can be this artifact will aid in this for sure. This artifact creates a doppelganger of your survivor including all the items and equipment every 10 minutes. The clones are considered bosses and upon death drop an item from their inventory. The only item the clones get is an item which reduces their damage but increases their maximum health. With this artifact being cautious about the items that you pickup is essential for survival. This code can be found near the Environment log below the starting platform in “A Moment, Fractured”, a hidden environment that’s only accessible after looping at least once and getting to the third stage again.
3. Artifact of Dissonance
The Artifact of Dissonance allows all monsters to spawn in environments other than their natural one. The other special thing this artifact allows is for Scavengers to appear before looping, and that the Hermit Crabs will not spawn while this artifact is active. It does limit the amount of monsters from different environments to prevent them from overspawning, it will spawn per level; 3 basic, 2 minibosses, and 3 bosses. The code for this artifact can be found in the Abyssal Depths, but be careful because the tablet here is tipped over onto it’s side so making sure you enter the code in the correct direction is important.
2. Artifact of Sacrifice
The Artifact of Sacrifice's code is cleverly hidden in the realm where you spawn after a golden portal.
Artifact of Sacrifice is an artifact that makes it so that chests no longer spawn but instead monsters drop items on kill. The Shrines of Chance also no longer spawn, however; drones, other shrines, scrappers/3D Printers, and void cradles all still spawn. In my experience this artifact seems to stack up items a lot and definitely provides a lot of gold. When fighting certain things such as bosses, as well as during the teleporter charge up and first spawn, the enemies have lower percent drop rates, meaning they are less likely to drop an item or to drop a high tier item. The code for this can be found in the Gilded Coast, which can be reached by activating a Golden Altar and entering the portal or on the rare chance of it appearing in the Lunar Seer as an option for the next stage for the price of Lunar Coins.
1. Artifact of Command
This artifact certainly feels like a classic for me, with the artifact of command rather than trying your luck with chests you can simply choose your items. Now you still have randomized tiers but getting to pick an item from a tier instead of hoping and waiting ages to get a certain item really improves the game when you have ideas for builds. How this works is when you open a chest or use a Shrine of Chance, it drops something called a “Command Essence” which is color coded according to each tier of item, you interact with the command essance and it will show you all available items. To unlock this artifact you will have to go through the Newt portal and look behind the Newt to find the reflection with the inscription on it.
