[Top 10] Soul Eater Best Fights Worth Watching Again
10. Soul and Black Star vs. Kid
Soul and Black Star wanted to fight Kid when he decided to go to the DWMA as a student even though he is a grim reaper and isn’t required to attend.
- When Kid was late to school by three hours, Soul and Black Star wanted to see what kind of a student Death the Kid is and challenged him to a fight.
- Even though Soul Eater is a weapon and Black Star is a meister neither of them matched wave links making it impossible to fight together but they still fight alongside each other to pull a really strange victory.
What's great about this Fight
- We get to see Death the Kid’s soul resonance with Liv and Patty as they make Execution Mode: Death Cannon, a powerful ranged attack that’s able to destroy the landscape.
- Even though Black Star isn’t the smartest and his pride often gets in the way of his growth he is constantly thinking of ways to get the upper hand and he’s able to, at the very least, knock Kid off of his feet for a moment.
9. Stein vs. Medusa
Stein is a genius meister able to change his wave links at will to match any weapon as well as attack directly with his wave link for a devastating physical attack. While Medusa is a master witch with thousands of snakes in her body completely in her control.
- Stein has so much control over his soul’s wave link he’s able to stitch himself as well as others to any surface and he uses this often in this fight to get the upper hand.
- Witches are extremely powerful and Medusa is one of the strongest and most clever able to control numerous snakes in her body for various attacks.
- While this fight is going on two others are trying to release the Kishin, down in the area that holds the Kishin, madness waves leak outwith Stein being the most affected.
What's great about this Fight
- We get to see Death Scythe, Spirit, and Stein in action together as they fight Medusa, a master witch, able to do numerous attacks with an insane amount of snakes.
- Stein ends up letting the madness seep in and take over making him attack with reckless abandon as Medusa struggles to defend.
- Overall this fight shows two masters fighting and giving it their all as they fight in an arena Medusa created with vector plates.
8. Maka and Black Star vs. Sid
This is the first technical fight after the prologue on Soul Eater and it’s a great fight against a strong undead foe and two, one-star weapon meisters.
- This fight shows us why Maka and Soul Eater are the main characters with a new ultimate attack called Witch Hunter, even though Maka misses.
- Both Maka and Black Star show that they do know how to fight and Black Star may seem like a bumbling idiot but he is a master assassin who knows the body’s weak points and how to exploit them.
What's great about this Fight
- This fight is entertaining through it with some seriousness and some humor to keep your attention as the fight goes on.
- The fight against Sid shows some teamwork and the first time Maka and Soul matched wave links to do the secret art of all scythe meisters, With Hunter.
- In the same episode not only do we see one great fight but we get to see another great fight against Dr. Franken Stein, a mad scientist and first meister of Death Scythe.
7. Tsubaki vs. Masamune
This fight takes place in the mind of Tsubaki, a weapon, as she battles her brother, the Dark Blade for control of the dark power of the blade.
- This fight has some amazing art and is an amazing fighting sequence between the two siblings and an extremely one-sided battle.
- Even though this fight started one-sided Tsubaki can turn this fight around because her best friend and partner Black Star is getting attacked by the townspeople and willing to do anything to keep her body safe as she fights.
What's great about this Fight
- This fight starts one-sided but Tsubaki turns it around to overpower her brother and claims the Dark Blade form for herself and Black Star to use.
- We get to see Tsubaki use her own tools and weapons that she’s able to transform into instead of just Black Star using them.
6. Black Star vs. Mifune (Round 2)
In the first fight against Mifune, Black Star does well but Mifune was obviously holding back against him because he was a kid and Mifune didn’t want to kill him.
- We see Black Star grow and learn to control this new power of his as he fights Mifune full force even though the outcome was the same as the first time they fought.
- Mosquito and Lady Aracnei were the only reason Mifune was there to stop Black Star in the first place because they offered protection for the witch Angela.
What's great about this Fight
- We get to see the growth of Black Star as he gets stronger and learns to control the dark blade style and new techniques.
- Mifune speaks about the Dark Blade in a great way after their battle about how it’s an incredible blade to have and it’s great to see a master speak greatly about it as well as Black Star even though Black Star sadly loses.
5. Maka, Black Star, and Kid vs. Mosquito
Against a power boosted Mosquito Maka, Black Star, and Kid are outmatched and can’t resonate their souls together to work as a team until Soul accepts the madness’ promise of power to allow them to resonate and become stronger than they were alone.
- This fight gives us an insight into a new move of Maka and Black Star in the form of Kishin Hunter and Shadow Star: Checkmate Slash.
- This fight isn’t as fast-paced or exciting as others but it’s great to watch to see everyone's souls resonate and show through new moves.
What's great about this Fight
- We get to see two new powerful moves by Maka and Black Star while everyone's souls resonate together to make each other even stronger.
- This episode shows the growth of Black Star the most as he’s learned to hold the Dark Blade mode for longer and resonate with it for new powerful techniques.
4. Black Star, Kid, and Maka vs. Kishin Asura
Even though this fight is an extremely serious moment Black Star still manages to add some humor to the situation and make it not seem as grim.
- We finally get to see Kid become a true grim reaper even if just for a moment as he strikes down the Kishin with an amazing new attack he could only do as a reaper.
- Black Star has become much stronger and goes as far as punching the Kishin with his souls’ wave link and confusing him by appearing all around him.
What's great about this Fight
- We finally get to see Kid take on his reaper side and unleash a devastating attack on the Kishin with two amazing golden death canons.
- Black Star remains the star of this fight even while Kid is charging his ultimate attack being the only character with the guts to punch the Kishin in the face.
- We get to see something that has never happened before, a Meister becoming a weapon stronger than either is alone, different than Crona being a weapon and Meister joined together as one, Maka becomes incredibly powerful.
3. Lord Death vs. Kishin Asura
Lord Death has only fought the Kishin twice in the entire series and this fight is the only time we truly get to see Lord Death fight the Kishin to the death.
- Following the release of the Kishin Lord Death left the school to go face him at less power than he had when they first fought but Lord Death still gives his all to keep his students and the city safe.
- This fight has a sad ending because Kishin still has his power and Lord Death bravely sacrificed his life to save his students from a direct attack.
What's great about this Fight
- We finally get to See Lord Death battle with Death Scythe and his own power as he faces Kishin to death.
- We see how powerful Lord Death and Kishin are as they face each other with the intent to kill.
2. Blackstar and Maka vs. Stein
This fight takes place after fighting Sid and is a great fight to introduce Dr. Franken Stein as he nonchalantly fights against them and even takes a strike of Black Star’s soul wave link.
- This fight is great to watch for disposition and more details into souls.
- Stein can easily fight against these two while sitting and moving on a wheeled chair and even against Maka’s Witch Hunter Stein was able to stop and break it.
What's great about this Fight
- We get to learn about the souls of Maka and Soul Eater as well as Black Star and Tsubaki and their partnerships together as meister and weapon.
- This fight is entertaining to watch because of the
1. Maka vs. Crona (Round 2)
This fight was one-sided with Maka not being able to do anything to Crona because of his black blood that instantly dries making it impossible to cut him.
- Crona is the child and creation of Medusa and is manipulated by her often so when we finally get to see him become friends with Maka it’s heartwarming.
- This fight is the second time Crona and Maka have fought and it turns out differently than last time and has a different outcome than most fights in the series.
What's great about this Fight
- Not only does this fight deliver the fast pace excitement we’ve come to love, but it also ends differently than most fights do with one or the other side winning.
- We get to see Maka embrace the madness and black blood that’s in Soul Eater’s bloodstream now for a new stronger but not so serious Maka.
