The future of robots, or automaton’s in the world is uncertain as yet. However, there has been plenty of speculation surrounding intelligent robots and their potential to take over the world and decide that they wish to rule, not serve.

"Alan’s Automaton Workshop" tasks players with helping Alan run his automaton workshop. Players are required to solve a variety of problems, often related to programming and varying in complexity from simple instructions to complex algorithm problems.

Automatons need to be created for a variety of different functions. Some of the roles they need to play include making work and production easier, faster, and more profitable.

Alternatively, clients may require automaton’s that can entertain guests, solve problems that humans struggle to solve, or even do things like serve drinks or clean floors.

Players must design each automaton to be suited to its unique purpose. They must then build and test the automatons to make sure that they function as required, and must attempt to make their programming as short and efficient as possible for rapid execution. Time is money after all!

As players progress they will be able to expand Alan’s workshop to build bigger, better, more powerful automatons. Potentially they could even create military-grade automatons that will help win wars and save human lives in the process.

How players design and build their automatons is entirely up to them, leaving the responsibility of what they create in the players’ hands.
