City planners and mayors form a key part of any society. Most people, they’ll never know what it is like to play that role in society since there isn’t an overabundance of open spots available.
‘New Home: Medieval Village’ is a zone-based city building game that is set in the medieval era. Players must build towns and cities with zones planned to make the towns productive and make life easy and enjoyable for their inhabitants.
New buildings can be constructed, and old buildings can be customized using the building editor. A key part of any city is housing, for which residential zones need to be created and houses need to be built.
The city inhabitants need food, and for this players will need to build farms in agricultural zones, traditionally situated in the area around the outside of the town. Food can be transported into town to be processed and stored in granaries and warehouses.
Towns will need civil services such as schools for education, houses of religion, hospitals, and libraries. They will also need to be protected from attack and from disasters such as fires, storms, and floods.
Town layout and zoning will play a key role in how protected towns are from various disasters and how severely different disasters will affect them.
The creative and intuitive power is solely in the hands of the player as they build and shape their towns to become prosperous trading centers that are popular among the wealthy and affluent members of society.
Success or failure lies in the hands of the player.
