Imagine being able to predict crimes before they happen. Predicting crimes before they happen, would make the predictor the most powerful Crimestoppers on Earth. After all, they know exactly what the criminals are going to do before the criminals themselves know it.
‘Crimesight’ is a mystery simulator based on the all-time classic crime-stopper, ‘Sherlock Holmes,’ and his nemesis, ‘Moriarty.’ ‘Crimesight’ is set in the year 2075, where an advanced AI crime prediction system called Foresight AI has predicted a terrible event and has subsequently been replaced by a better version called ‘Sherlock.’
‘Sherlock’ predicts the worst crimes long before they even happen, allowing law enforcement to get ahead of the curve and preventing them from happening. However, a third AI by the name ‘Moriarty’ emerges from the shadows. As it turns out ‘Moriarty’ is the cause of most of the worst crimes in the city.
In ‘Crimesight,’ ‘Moriarty’ picks a target for elimination and plots their demise. ‘Moriarty’ is played by a real player, who must plan and carry out steps to murder the target without getting caught.
A second player plays as ‘Sherlock’ and must do whatever it takes to work out who is the target and who is ‘Moriarty.’ The other players must either take the side of ‘Sherlock,’ or the side of ‘Moriarty,’ and do what they can to help either one succeed.
If ‘Moriarty’ manages to murder their target, they win the game. If ‘Sherlock’ and his team manage to catch the villain and prevent the murder, then they win the game.
‘Crimesight’ is developed by ‘Konami Digital Entertainment,’ and will be released on Steam on the 14th of April, 2022.
