‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 2022’ is the latest in the long line of ‘Call of Duty,’ titles released since the first ‘Call of Duty,’ game in 2003.
Unlike the name suggests, ‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 2022’ is not a remaster or a remake of the 2009 ‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.’ Rather, it is a sequel to the 2019 ‘Modern Warfare,’ and continues the story and time period of the 2019 game.
In ‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 2022,’ players are dropped into an “unprecedented global conflict.” Task Force 141 returns with legendary Operators like ‘Captain Price,’ ‘Gaz,’ ‘Soap,’ ‘Ghost,’ and ‘Alejandro Vargas.’
The game features a single-player campaign that will take you all over the world as you complete missions ranging from tactical infiltration ops to “highly classified missions.”
In ‘Multiplayer’ you can battle it out with your friends in various different modes, including ‘Team Deathmatch,’ ‘Domination,’ and even large-scale ‘Ground War,’ among others. Deathmatch and domination games follow classic mode rules. ‘Ground War’ takes place on a large map with 2 teams battling it out similar to ‘Battlefield’ games.
Additionally, there is a narrative-driven ‘Special Ops’ mode that is playable as a co-op experience with your friends!
‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 2022’ features “state of the art” gameplay with unparalleled gun handling and a highly advanced AI system. There is also a new “Gunsmith,” for extensive gun and loadout customization. The title brings a range of new “gameplay and graphical innovations” that the developers believe are taking the franchise to “new heights.”
‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 2022’ is developed by ‘Infinity Ward,’ and ‘Raven Software,’ among others. It was released on 28 October 2022 after being available for pre-purchase on Playstation, Xbox, Steam, and Battle.net for several weeks.
